"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear."

Congratulations !
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!!!!!!!
Thank you, each & every one, for all the phone calls, e-mails, faxes, protests, and pure devotion to the cause of not allowing our traitorous Senate to pass this disastrous Immigration Reform bill!!!!!!
Please realize that we also drove a stake through the heart of Bush's plan to expedite the SPP by concealing it within this piece of garbage!
The MCDC played a huge role in this, but we were not alone by any means.
The U.S. Senate switchboard was literally overloaded and shut down this morning, prior to the cloture vote by Americans everywhere!
I watch a lot of different blogs and forums, and people were organizing and cheering each other on just as we were all over the U.S.
Today is a day to celebrate for all Americans who believe in and cherish the rule of law!!
This will really make the comming 4th of July holiday, a day to celebrate our Republic!!
I fell pretty washed out, as I'm sure many of you do.
This was a job well done, Minutemen. THANK YOU
HAVE A HAPPY AND SAFE 4TH OF JULY!! Once again, God has blessed us!!

The Church
This may step on a few toes in our own group, but, what a bunch of crap! Sorry, but from what I have been able to learn: Since the beginning, "The Church", collectively, has been responsible for more killing and cultural upheavals than all the world's despots put together. Look at the Inquisition, the Conquistadors, the Crusades, the establishment of our own country, all done in the name of God, (but usually by the ruler who thought he/she was God at the time). I wonder if the real HE approved - I, for one, don't think so.
In my opinion, "The Church", collectively, should ask general forgiveness for their own sins before assuming charge over mine. If anyone has to be forced to believe a doctrine, anyone's doctrine, they will never be true followers anyway. "The Church" should let people come of their own free will. To me, they are absolutely no different than the politicians trying to get us on board with their own philosophies of how to live our lives, or more to the point, force their own ways into my house.
It seems to me that anyone who calls themselves spokespersons for God and his wishes in my behalf, may as well talk to someone else who will believe their authority over my own private relationship with Him.
Furthermore, if this immigration thing doesn't turn around, we are going to see more of the "Civil Rights Movement" in our streets, only this time it will be for civil rights of legitimate American citizens, native and naturalized, of our country that we will, once again, fight for.
"The Church" HAS spoken up, for sanctuary for all the poor minions who are somehow displaced unfairly in OUR country. Give me a break! They want new members just as much as the politicians want new voters. There is NO OTHER reason for this position. Sanctuary is a recruitment move, nothing more, nothing less, in my book. Recruitment ultimately means $$$$$$.
Why this rant? Read below for the trigger.

Church should speak up
To the editor -- Re: The June 16 letter, "Why is the Church involved?"
Throughout history, churches have played a crucial role in discussing and changing the social fabric of our country. Churches have a moral and spiritual obligation to speak out about important social issues, whether they're political in nature or not.
Any time there's a penalty or punishment -- such as the loss of tax-exempt status -- for free speech, you have effectively squelched that constitutional right. Remember that the ability to preach from an open pulpit was one of the first things the Nazis sought to control.
For too long, secular governments have used Romans 13 as a club to beat Christians into obedience. What if you lived in Nazi Germany at the time of Hitler's rise to power? Would you obey the laws against harboring or helping Jewish people? Or what if you lived in the Deep South of the United States in the 1960s? Would you obey the laws of segregation? Would you assault the free speech rights of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. because he preached civil disobedience from the pulpit?
I believe that the church has a responsibility to minister to the people in the shadows, wherever they hold citizenship. The time has come for its members to speak with faith and courage to those with the power to effect lasting change in immigration policy. To do otherwise would be to forsake those wayward strangers in this nation who in reality are fellow children of God.

Like A Very Bad Movie ...
It’s like a bad science fiction/horror movie.
We are seeing our country being setup for massive cultural change which does not benefit Americans. We are changing our laws not to suit Americans but to suit the needs of non citizens who have broken our laws and entered our nation illegally.
I don’t get it. It is as if the people who are voting for this amnesty do not consider themselves to be Americans and have absolutely no sense of culture or identity or connection with other real Americans. It’s as if these Amnesty supporters, by some strange leap of logic, feel that grafting into our society tens of millions of people who have shown their contempt for our laws will somehow benefit us as a nation.
These Mexicans are people who come from a failed nation which has failed primarily because its citizens do not respect law and order. This is perhaps the most significant defining difference between Anglo-American and Mexican culture. Anglo-American culture has great respect for law and order and formality and structure and propriety and this leads to a safe society which is conducive to individual accomplishment and the pursuit of happiness for its citizens.
When you feel safe, you are quick to leave your home and pursue your interests free from the worry of harm. You can go to the park or to the library or off to the University secure that you and those who you love are safe and don’t need you at home to protect them. You can drive to the store without feeling the need to carry a gun. You don’t have to put steel bars on your windows. You do not have to invest in an alarm system for your place of business (you can use that money to buy something nice instead). You don’t have to worry about parking your car on a city street during the day when you stop to get a bite to eat.
When you do not feel safe, however, you change your life and your behavior accordingly to maximize your safety with an “opportunity cost” of doing the things you’d like to be doing if you lived in a neighborhood without...gangs or burglars or thugs who will stick you up when you park your car on a city street
In direct contrast with Anglo-American culture, Mexican culture does not create a safe society. Mexican culture hasn’t provided for a stable middle class to act as a buffer between rich and poor or to serve as the nation’s glue or as the great social stabilizer through its respect for law and order and civil propriety.
Mexican culture, Mexican behavior norms, create a society where corruption is the NORM amongst people in positions of authority, not the exception. Their public officials do not have the presumption of trust from the common citizen which arguably exists in the United States. Their police are assumed to be corrupt by the common citizen and must prove themselves honest. Their society is a nightmare when compared to ours and that’s one big reason why their population is trying so hard to enter our nation and live here.
Mexicans themselves as individuals are the key to changing Mexico, but they don’t get this necessity. “Someone else” needs to change things for them is the refrain I’m always hearing from Mexican social activists. Unfortunately for us, and I’ve seen this myself after living in Los Angeles for 13 years, they recreate here what they left behind in Mexico; corruption, over-population, crime, and a deadly lack of respect for law and order. They bring their ‘norms’ with them and graft them into our society.
In fact, they are so alien in their behavior norms that they make Americans, who live in communities targeted by illegal immigration, feel like aliens in their own country. And our lawmakers, the majority of Democrats and at least 23 Republicans, don’t see this. They don’t see how Mexicans overwrite the local culture by making Americans living in communities targeted by illegals-- MOVE AWAY because the Americans do not feel comfortable or safe or like they’re living in their own country anymore.
And this exodus by Americans from such areas creates de-Americanized zones where only the skeleton of Anglo-American civilization remains-- our houses, our plumbing, our roads, our bridges, our power grids, or schools, our universities, but now exclusively populated with a newly arrived Mexican population which broke our laws getting here in the first place.
It’s so damned infuriating to see our own politicians refuse to acknowledge that we have our own culture and that its worth defending that...it makes me sick.

"You Old White People, it is Your Duty To Die ..."
"You old white people. It is your duty to die."
HISPANIC LEADERS SPEAK OUT!
"Go back to Boston! Go back to Plymouth Rock, Pilgrims! Get out! We are the future. You are old and tired. Go on. We have beaten you. Leave like beaten rats. You old white people. It is your duty to die . . Through love of having children, we are going to take over. Augustin Cebada, Brown Berets:
"They're afraid we're going to take over the governmental institutions and other institutions. They're right. We will take them over . We are here to stay." Richard Alatorre, Los Angeles City Council.
"The American Southwest seems to be slowly returning to the jurisdiction of Mexico without firing a single shot." Excelsior, the national newspaper of Mexico:
"We have an aging white America. They are not making babies. They are dying. The explosion is in our population. I love it. They are shitting in their pants with fear. I love it." Professor Jose Angel Gutierrez, University of Texas
"Remember 187--proposition to deny taxpayer funds for services to non-citizens--was the last gasp of white America in California." Art Torres, Chairman of the California Democratic Party,
"We are politicizing every single one of these new citizens that are becoming citizens of this country. I gotta tell you that a lot of people are saying, "I'm going to go out there and vote because I want to pay them back." Gloria Molina, Los Angeles County Supervisor,
"California is going to be a Hispanic state. Anyone who doesn't like it should leave." Mario Obledo, California Coalition of Hispanic Organizations and California State Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare under Governor Jerry Brown, also awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Bill Clinton
"We are practicing 'La Reconquista' in California." Jose Pescador Osuna, Mexican Consul General ,
"We need to avoid a white backlash by using codes understood by Latinos." Professor Fernando Guerra, Loyola Marymount University
Are these just the words of a few extremists? Consider that we could fill up many pages with such quotes. Also, consider that these are mainstream Mexican leaders.
THE U.S. VS MEXICO: On February 15, 1998, the U.S. and Mexican soccer teams met at the Los Angeles Coliseum. The crowd was overwhelmingly pro-Mexican even though most lived in this country. They booed during the National Anthem and U.S. flags were held upside down. As the match progressed, supporters of the U.S. team were insulted, pelted with projectiles, punched and spat upon. Beer and trash were thrown at the U.S. players before and after the match. The coach of the U.S. team, Steve Sampson said, "This was the most painful experience I have ever had in this profession."
Did you know that immigrants from Mexico and other non-European countries can come to this country and get preferences in jobs, education, and government contracts?
Corporate America has signed on to the idea that minorities and third world immigrants should get special, privileged status. Some examples are Exxon,Texaco, Merrill Lynch, Boeing, Paine Weber, Starbucks and many more.
DID YOU KNOW?: Did you know that Mexico regularly intercedes on the side of the defense in criminal cases involving Mexican nationals? Did you know that Mexico has NEVER extradited a Mexican national accused of murder in the U.S. in spite of agreements to do so? According to the L.A. Times, Orange Co unty, California is home to 275 gangs with 17,000 members; 98% of which are Mexican and Asian. How's your county doing?
Is education important to you? Here are the words of a teacher who spent over 20 years in the Los Angeles School system. "Imagine teachers in classes containing 30-40 students of widely varying attention spans and motivation, many of whom aren't fluent in English. Educators seek learning materials likely to reach the majority of students and that means fewer words and math problems and more pictures and multicultural referenc es."
When I was young, I remember hearing about the immigrants that came through Ellis Island. They wanted to learn English. They wanted to breathe free. They wanted to become Americans. Now too many immigrants come here with demands. They demand to be taught in their own language. They demand special privileges--a ffirmative action. They demand ethnic studies that glorify their culture.

At Last a Moderate Muslim Speaks Out ...
Letter to the Editor that was published in The Tulsa World on 29 October 2006:
Message of Islam is Not Jihad, Fatwahs
By Jamal Miftah
I moved to the United States in March 2003, with my four kids and wife from Pakistan bordering Afghanistan. There was a call by a local jihadi organization to fight the coalition forces in Afghanistan. One of my dearest friends, Mirza Kohistani, fell prey to that call and joined the group, despite my advice and that of his wife to him.
All the leaders of that organization returned safely after the fall of the Taliban empire, but they left behind the body of my friend and hundreds of other innocent people like him.
I am obliged to respond to Ayman al-Zawahri's recent video message, portraying himself as champion of Islam and others as liars.
My message to Ayman al-Zawahri and Muslims of the world: "Islam" means submission and is derived from a word meaning "peace." Islam, Christianity and Judaism have the same origin, the Prophet Abraham. The prophet of Islam has said that God has no mercy on someone who does not have mercy for others.
I ask that al-Zawahri look at his deeds and those of his master, Osama bin Laden, and other so-called Islamic jihadists.
Because of lack of knowledge of Islam, Muslim youth are misguided into believing by the so-called champions of the cause of Islam that the current spate of killings and barbarism, which has no equal in the recent civilized history, is jihad in the name of Islam. They are incited, in the name of Islam, to commit heinous crimes not pardonable by any religion and strictly forbidden in Islam.
Cowards like al-Zawahri and bin Laden are inciting the ignorant and innocent youths to commit suicide bombings to kill innocent civilians including children, women and the elderly, while they hide in spider holes and caves. They never send their own sons and daughters, born out of half a dozen of their wives, to get killed in the name of Islam. They are themselves hypocrites, cowards, thugs and liars. For 12 years they misappropriated aid received from the U.S. and the West to fight Russia. Now they are ensuring smooth flow of petro dollars from Arab countries in the name of jihad against the West.
Even mosques and Islamic institutions in the U.S. and around the world have become tools in their hands and are used for collecting funds for their criminal acts. Half of the funds collected go into the pockets of their local agents and the rest are sent to these thugs.
They are the reason for branding the peaceful religion of Islam as terrorism. The result, therefore, is in the form of Danish cartoons and remarks/reference by the Pope.
I appeal to the Muslim youth in particular and Muslims of the world in general to rise up and start jihad against the killers of humanity and help the civilized world to bring these culprits to justice and prove that Islam is not a religion of hatred and aggression.
I appeal to the Muslim clerics around the world that, rather than issuing empty fatwas condemning suicide bombing, they should issue a fatwa for the death of such scoundrels and barbarians who have taken more than 4,267 lives of innocent people in the name of Islam and have carried out more than 24 terrorist attacks on civilian installations throughout the world. This does not include the chilling number of deaths because of such activities in Iraq and Afghanistan, which is well over 250,000.
I appeal to al-Zawahri and his band of thugs to hand themselves over to justice and stop spreading evil and killing innocent humans around the world in the name of Islam. Their time is limited and Muslims of the world will soon rise against them to apprehend them and bring them to justice.

Living in Terror
Living in Terror
By Fred Thompson

Let me ask you a hypothetical question. What do you think America would do if Canadian soldiers were firing dozens of missiles every day into Buffalo, N.Y.? What do you think our response would be if Mexican troops for two years had launched daily rocket attacks on San Diego -- and bragged about it?
I can tell you, our response would look nothing like Israel's restrained and pinpoint reactions to daily missile attacks from Gaza. We would use whatever means necessary to win the war. There would likely be numerous casualties on our enemy's side, but we would rightfully hold those who attacked us responsible.
More than 1,300 rockets have been fired into Israel from Gaza since Palestinians were given control two years ago. Israelis, however, have gone to incredible lengths to stop the war against them without harming Palestinian non-combatants. But make no mistake, Israel is at war. The elected Hamas government regularly repeats its official promise to destroy Israel entirely and replace it with an Islamic state. Hamas openly took credit for killing one woman and wounding dozens more last week alone.
The Palestinian strategy is to purposely target and kill Israeli civilians. Then, when Israel goes after those launching the attacks, Palestinians claim to be the victims. If Palestinian civilians aren't hurt in the Israeli attacks, they stage injuries and deaths. Too often, they garner sympathy and support from a gullible or anti-Semitic media in the international community.
Israelis, themselves, are often incapable of facing the damage they inflict in self-defense. Knowing this, Islamic extremists are using their own populations as human shields.
I'm beginning to wonder how much longer this vicious plot will work though. International sympathy for Palestinians has diminished as the same Islamofascist extremists have brought havoc to Madrid, Bali, Somalia, London and elsewhere. More importantly, Israelis themselves are suffering so badly, they may be on the verge of losing their sympathy for the people who have sworn to kill them.
Imagine what it would be like to live, knowing that a rocket could fall on you or your children at any minute. Half of those who live nearest to Gaza have fled their homes. Those remaining are traumatized by daily warning sirens and explosions.
The irony is that Israel has the mil itary might to easily win the war that is being waged against them today. They haven't used that might, in the past, out of compassion for Palestinian civilians and because it could trigger a wider regional conflict.
That balance of power is about to change, though. If Iran develops nuclear weapons, the very existence of this tiny nation of Israel will be threatened. The Iranian regime has left little doubt that it intends to see Israel "wiped off the map.†Hamas is using the same language, not coincidentally, and has announced it will begin launching missiles into Israel from the West Bank too.
If the world doesn't act to stop Iran's nuclear ambitions, it must be prepared for the consequences of Israel defending itself. Halevi!

Behead All Those Who Insult Islam

Jihadi's Guide to Etiquette Rule 11: Never leave home without your matches, effigy-hanging sticks and death threat placards. You never know when they'll come in handy.
In Pakistan, dutiful followers of the jihadi guide have found a new pretext this week for an anti-Western bonfire party: the knighting of author Salman Rushdie in Britain. Muslim groups are burning Queen Elizabeth and Rushdie in effigy. The Union Jack is in flames. The Religion of Perpetual Outrage strikes again.
It's not just some obscure spokesman for a "tiny minority" objecting to Rushdie's knighthood and leading the renewed calls for Rushdie's death and Britain's submission. Pakistan's religious affairs minister, Mohammed ljaz ul-Haq, bellowed: "If someone blows himself up he will consider himself justified. How can we fight terrorism when those who commit blasphemy are rewarded by the West?" He says he was misunderstood, but the message is as loud and clear as the inscriptions on the infamous placards British Muslims waved around during last year's conflagration over the Danish cartoons:
"Behead all those who insult Islam. Slay those who insult Islam. Butcher those who mock Islam."
Pakistan's parliamentarian affairs minister Sher Afgan Khan Niazi piled on: "I demand the British government immediately withdraw the title as it is creating religious hatred." On Monday, Pakistan's Parliament passed a unanimous resolution "deploring the honor as an open insult to the feelings of the world's 1.5 billion Muslims." Mufti Muhammad Basheer-u-Din, Grand Mufti of Kashmir, didn't mince words: "Because of his blasphemy, Salman Rushdie remains an apostate and aggressor on Islam and punishment for such offences is death." Lord Ahmed, the first British Muslim member of the House of Lords, blamed Rushdie for violence past and violence to come:
"This man not only provoked violence around the world because of his writings, but there were many people who were killed around the world. . . . Forgiving and forgetting is one thing, but honouring the man who has blood on his hands, sort of, because of what he did, I think is going a bit too far."
Sort of?!
Yes, you see, it's always the fault of the accused insulter. Never the fault of the sword-wielders, fatwa-issuers, fire-setters and blood-lusters.
It's always the fault of the Western "extremists." Never the fault of the "moderate" followers of jihad.
The deaf and blind will dismiss this latest episode of manufactured Muslim outrage as a marginal outburst. But Rushdie, the target of death threats dating back to 1988 over his book "The Satanic Verses," has seen enough performances of Jihad Theater to take proper precautions. He has requested police protection after an Iranian group put a $150,000 bounty on his head. Forouz Raja'ee-Far, secretary general of the Headquarters for Honoring the Martyrs of Islam World Movement, offered the prize because, after all, "it is an obligation for all Muslims to kill Salman Rushdie even if he repents from the bottom of his heart and becomes the pious man of the time."
What does the Council on American-Islamic Relations have to say? Their website has a special "incitement watch" and "action alerts" section for its (dwindling number of) members -- but as of Tuesday afternoon, not a peep about the incitement of hatred and violence against Rushdie. They'll eventually pay lip service to The Religion of Peace, but do not forget Rule No. 5 in the jihadi's guide to etiquette: "You can lie if you do this for jihad."
Pakistani government officials are bleating about the need for "interfaith understanding" and sensitivity. In Washington for meetings with the Bush administration, Pakistan's foreign minister Khurshid Kasuri cooed: "When we talk of a globalized world, we have to be sensitive to each other's concerns."
As anyone with their eyes open through Rushdie's ordeal, the deadly Mohammed cartoons riots, the calls for beheading the Pope, Oriana Fallaci, Ayaan Hirsi Ali and defiant, ex-Muslim apostates around the world knows: "Sensitivity" in the jihadi world is a one-way, dead-end street.

Israeli Achievements
Israel's recent achievements
Israel's achievements in the first month of 2007
Despite the second Lebanon war, the divestments, and the boycotts,
Israel's economy enjoyed the largest growth in its GNP of any Western
country at 8% for the last quarter of 2006. Foreign investment hit a
remarkable high of over US$13 billion and the budget deficit was under
1%. Industrial exports, excluding diamonds, rose 11% to $29.3 billion in
2006 with the hi-tech sector leading the surge, according to the
Manufacturers Association of Israel. Israel's hi-tech industry exported
$14.1 billion in goods last year, growing 20% from 2005.
What follows is a selection of Israel's achievements in the first month
of 2007:
1. Scientists in Israel found that the brackish water drilled from
underground desert aquifers hundreds of feet deep could be used to raise
warm-water fish. The geothermal water, less than one-tenth as saline as
sea water, free of pollutants, and a toasty 98 degrees on average,
proves an ideal environment.
****************************
2. Israeli-developed designer eyeglasses promise mobile phone and iPod
users a personalized, high-tech video display. Available to US consumers
next year, Lumus-Optical's lightweight and fashionable video eyeglasses
feature a large transparent screen floating in front of the viewer's
face that projects their choice of movie, TV show, or video game.
****************************
3. When Stephen Hawkings visited Israel recently, he shared his wisdom
with scientists, students, and even the prime minister. But the world's
most renown victim of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), or Lou
Gehrig's disease, also learned something - due to the Israeli
Association for ALS' advanced work in both embryonic and adult stem cell
research, as well as its proven track record with neurodegenerative
diseases, the Israeli research community is well on its way to finding a
treatment for this fatal disease which affects 30,000 Americans.
****************************
4. Israeli start-up Veterix has developed an innovative new electronic
capsule that sits in the stomach of a cow, sheep, or goat, sending out
real-time information on the health of the herd to the farmer via email
or cellphone. The e-capsule, which also sends out alerts if animals are
distressed, injured, or lost, is now being tested on a herd of cows in
the hopes that the device will lead to tastier and healthier meat and
milk supplies.
****************************
5. The millions of Skype users worldwide will soon have access to the
newly developed KishKish lie-detector. This free Internet service, based
on voice stress analysis (a technique commonly used in criminal
investigations), will be able to measure just how truthful that person
on the other end of the line really is.
****************************
6. Beating cardiac tissue has been created in a lab from human embryonic
stem cells by researchers at the Rappaport Medical Faculty and the
Technion-Israel Institute of Technology's biomedical engineering
faculty. The work of Dr. Shulamit Levenberg and Prof. Lior Gepstein has
also led to the creation of tiny blood vessels within the tissue, making
possible its implantation in a human heart.
****************************
7. Israel's Magal Security Systems is a worldwide leader in computerized
security systems with products used in more than 70 countries around the
world protecting anything from national borders to nuclear facilities,
refineries, and airports. The company's latest product, DreamBox, a
state-of-the-art security system that includes intelligent video, audio
and sensor management, is now being used by a major water authority on
the US East Coast to safeguard the utility's sites.
****************************
8. It's common knowledge that dogs have better night vision than humans
and a vastly superior sense of smell and hearing. Israel's Bio-Sense
Technologies recently delved further and electronically analysed 350
different barks. Finding that dogs of all breeds and sizes bark the same
alarm when they sense a threat, the firm has designed the dog
bark-reader, a sensor that can pick up a dog's alarm bark and alert the
human operators. This is just one of a batch of innovative security
systems to emerge from Israel, which Forbes calls "the go-to country for
anti-terrorism technologies."
****************************
9. Israeli company BioControl Medical sold its first electrical
stimulator to treat urinary incontinence to a US company for $50
million. Now it is working on CardioFit, which uses electrical nerve
stimulation to treat congestive heart failure. With nearly five million
Americans presently affected by heart failure and more than 400,000 new
cases diagnosed yearly, the CardioFit is already generating a great deal
of excitement as the first device with the potential to halt this deadly
disease.
****************************
10. One year after Norway's Socialist Left Party launched its boycott of
Israel, the importing of Israeli goods has increased by 15%, the
strongest increase in many years, Statistics Norway reports.
***************************************************************
In contrast to the efforts of tiny Israel to make contributions to the
world so as to better mankind, one has to ask what have those who have
strived to eliminate Israel from the face of the earth done other than
to create hate and bloodshed?

Grounded in Fantasy
Grounded in Fantasy
By Caroline B. Glick
WHY are Bush and Olmert set to embrace Fatah and Abbas today? Why are they abjectly refusing to come to terms with the strategic reality of the Iranian-Syrian onslaught? Why are they insisting that the establishment of a Palestinian state is their strategic goal and doing everything they can to pretend that their goal has not been repeatedly proven absurd?
Iran and its client state Syria have a strategic vision for the Middle East. They wish to take over Lebanon. They wish to destroy Israel. They wish to defeat the US in Iraq. They wish to drive the US and NATO from Afghanistan. They wish to dominate the region by driving the rest of the Arab world to its jihad-supporting knees. Then they wish to apply their vision to the rest of the world.
Today, Syria and Iran are ardently advancing their strategic vision for the world through a deliberate strategy of victory by a thousand cuts. Last week's Hamas takeover of the Gaza Strip; Sunday's reopening of the Lebanese front against Israel with the Syrian-ordered rocket attacks on KiryatShemona; the now five-week old Syrian ordered low-intensity warfare against Lebanon's pro-Western Siniora government; last week's attack on the al-Askariya mosque in Samarra; the recent intensification of terrorism in Afghanistan and Iran's move to further destabilize the country by violently deporting 100,000 Afghan refugees back to the war-torn country - all of these are moves to advance this clear Iranian-Syrian strategy.
And all these moves have taken place against the backdrop of Syria's refashioning of its military in the image of Hizbullah on steroids and Iran's relentless, unopposed progress in its nuclear weapons program.
For their part, both the US and Israel also have a strategic vision. Unfortunately, it is grounded in fantasy.
WASHINGTON and Jerusalem wish to solve all the problems of the region and the world by establishing a Palestinian state in Gaza, Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem. While Israel now faces Iranian proxies on two fronts, in their meeting at the White House today US President George W. Bush and Prime Minister EhudOlmert will gush about their support for Palestinian statehood. Creepily echoing LSD king Timothy Leary, they will tune out this reality as they drone on about the opportunities that Gaza's transformation into a base for global jihad afford to the notion that promoting the Fatah terrorist organization's control over Judea and Samaria can make the world a better, safer, happier place.
Today Bush and Olmert will announce their full support for Fatah chief and Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas's new government. The US will intensify General Keith Dayton's training and arming of Fatah forces. Israel will give Fatah $700 million. The Europeans and the rest of the international community will give the "moderate, secular" terror group still more money and guns and love. The US will likely also demand that Olmert order the IDF to give Fatah terrorists free reign in Judea and Samaria.
Olmert and Bush claim that by backing Abbas militarily, financially and politically they will be setting up an "alternative Palestine" which will rival Hamas'sjihadist Palestine. As this notion has it, envious of the good fortune of their brethren in Judea and Samaria, Gazans will overthrow Hamas and the course will be set for peace - replete with the ethnic cleansing of Judea and Samaria and eastern Jerusalem of all Jewish presence.
FATAH FORCES barely raised a finger to prevent their defeat in Gaza in spite of the massive quantities of US arms they received and the military training they underwent at the hands of US General Keith Dayton. Bush, Olmert and all proponents of the notion of strengthening Fatah in Judea and Samaria refuse to answer one simple question: Why would a handover of Judea and Samaria to Abbas's Fatah produce a better outcome than Israel's 2005 handover of Gaza to Abbas's Fatah?
They refuse to answer this question because they know full well that the answer is that there is absolutely no reason to believe that the outcome can be better. They know full well that since replacing Yasser Arafat as head of the PA in 2004, Abbas refused to take any effective action against Hamas. They know that he refused to take action to prevent Hamas's rise to power in Gaza and Judea and Samaria. They know that the guns the US transferred to Fatah in Gaza were surrendered to Hamas without a fight last week. They know that the billions of dollars of international and Israeli assistance to Fatah over the past 14 years never were used to advance the cause of peace.
They know that that money was diverted into the pockets of Fatah strongmen and utilized to build terror militias in which Hamas members were invited to serve. They know that Fatah built a terror superstructure in Judea, Samaria and Gaza which enabled operational cooperation between Fatah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad terror cells.
SO WHY embrace the fantasy that things can be different now, in Judea and Samaria? Rather than provide rational arguments to defend their view that Hamas's takeover of Gaza is an opportunity for peace, proponents of peace fantasies as strategic wisdom explain vacuously that peace is the best alternative to jihad. They whine that those who point out that Israel now borders Iran in Lebanon and Gaza have nothing positive to say.
To meet the growing threat in Gaza, they argue that Europeans, or maybe Egyptians and Jordanians can be deployed at the international border with Egypt to stem the weapons and terror personnel flow into Gaza. To meet the growing threat in Lebanon, Olmert pleads for more UN troops.
Both views ignore the obvious: Gaza has been transformed into an Iranian-sponsored base for global jihad because Egypt has allowed it to be so transformed. Assisted by its Syrian-sponsored Palestinian allies, Hizbullah has rebuilt its arsenals and reasserted its control in southern Lebanon because UN forces in southern Lebanon have done nothing to prevent it from doing so.
No country on earth will volunteer to fight Hamas and its jihadist allies in Gaza. No government on earth will voluntarily deploy its forces to counter Hizbullah and Iran in south Lebanon. This is why - until they fled - European monitors at the Rafah terminal were a joke. This is why Spanish troops in UNIFIL devote their time in Lebanon to teaching villagers Spanish.
SO WHY are Bush and Olmert set to embrace Fatah and Abbas today? Why are they abjectly refusing to come to terms with the strategic reality of the Iranian-Syrian onslaught? Why are they insisting that the establishment of a Palestinian state is their strategic goal and doing everything they can to pretend that their goal has not been repeatedly proven absurd? Well, why should they? As far as Bush is concerned, no American politician has ever paid a price for advancing the cause of peace processes that strengthen terrorists and hostile Arab states at Israel's expense. Bush's predecessor Bill Clinton had Arafat over to visit the White House more often than any other foreign leader and ignored global jihad even when its forces bombed US embassies and warships. And today Clinton receives plaudits for his efforts to bring peace to the Middle East.
By denying that the war against Israel is related to the war in Iraq; by ignoring the strategic links between all the Iranian and Syrian sponsored theaters of war, Bush views gambling with Israel's security as a win-win situation. He will be applauded as a champion of peace and if the chips go down on Israel, well, it won't be Americans being bombed.
OLMERT LOOKS to his left and sees president-elect Shimon Peres. Peres, the architect of the Oslo process which placed Israel's national security in the hands of the PLO, has been rewarded for his role in imperiling his country by his similarly morally challenged political colleagues who just bestowed him with Israel's highest office.
Olmert looks to his left and his sees incoming defense minister EhudBarak. In 2000, then prime minister Barak withdrew Israeli forces from Lebanon, and enabled Iran's assertion of control over southern Lebanon through its Hizbullah proxy. In so doing, Barak set the conditions for last summer's war, and quite likely, for this summer's war.
By offering Arafat Gaza, 95 percent of Judea and Samaria and half of Jerusalem at Camp David, Barak showed such enormous weakness that he all but invited the Palestinian terror war which Arafat began planning the day he rejected Barak's offer.
For his failure, Barak has been rewarded by his Labor Party, which elected him its new chairman on the basis of his vast "experience," and by the media which has embraced him as a "professional" defense minister.
Olmert looks to his right and he sees how the media portrays Likud Chairman BinyaminNetanyahu and former IDF Chief of General Staff Moshe Ya'alon as alarmists for claiming that Israel cannot abide by an Iranian-proxy Hamas state on its border. He sees that Shas and YisraelBeiteinu supported Peres's candidacy as president and have joined their fortunes to Olmert's in a bid to block elections which will bring the Right to power.
ISRAEL HAS arguably never faced a more dangerous strategic environment than it faces today. Yet it is not without good options. It can retake control over the Gaza-Sinai border. It can renew its previously successful tactic of killing Hamas terrorists. It can continue its successful campaign of keeping terrorists down in Judea and Samaria, and it can continue preparing for war in the north. All of these options can be sold to the Left.
But today both Bush and Olmert will reject these options in favor of mindless peace process prattle. They will reject reality as they uphold Abbas as a credible leader and shower him with praise, money and arms. Their political fortunes will be utmost in their minds as they do this. And they will be guaranteeing war that will claim the lives of an unknown number of Israeli civilians and soldiers.
Bush and Olmert should know that when the time for reckoning comes they will not be able to claim, along with Peres and Barak that their hands did not shed this blood. Reality has warned them of their folly. But in their low, dishonest opportunism, they have chosen to ignore reality and amuse themselves with fantasies and photo-ops.

Bush's Gift
Over the past 7 years of the Bush reign many despicable things have happened. Suffice it to say he has driven our country off the road, made our image as tarnished as his own, and created unfathomable debt for the next generations to be stuck with.
But he didn't do it alone. Equal guilt can be shared by all his subordinates, top among them are Rove and Cheney (who may be impeached soon). Among his other helpers are the entire Senate and Congress. And this, oddly enough, is Bush's Gift.
Events of the last several years, amnesty debates, bait and switch policies, clear civil rights violations and much, much more have shown us, the voting public, what our legislators are made of. They are nothing more than plastic robots devoid of empathy or common sense.
Each day that passes exposes and explains in clear language how we are being led to slaughter by the greed-heads we have elected. We know how this happens, but not why it happens. If we can't latch on to a 'why', we are likely to give them all a pass and this is how it continues to certain doom and in full sight of constituents.
All that aside we all know now what to do. We are forced to vote no to everything they propose and in 2008 to vote no to them personally. The last bunch of crooks to be voted out did not seem to send a clear enough message, so the next time we need to make a clean sweep.
Yes, Bush's arrogance has spread throughout both Houses and now even the dimmest of us can see how we are being systematically manipulated.
Vote No! Vote Hell No!

Immigration Bill ...
Immigration bill terrible
This story was published Monday, June 18th, 2007
The debate in the Senate on whether or not to pass immigration bill S.1348 proves that our representatives no longer represent the American electorate. The monetary price for this immigration debacle will be in the trillions of dollars and will destroy this nation's institutions, such as Social Security and our educational and welfare systems.
This bill could not survive a rational analysis by any objective group in our nation. Perhaps that's why the Senate was and still is determined to rush the bill through Congress before most Americans are aware of its affront to our Constitution and the disastrous effect it will have on their lives. In my lifetime, this probably is the worst piece of legislation anyone attempted to perpetrate. Any senator or presidential candidate who supports this bill must never receive our votes again.

Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907.
"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

The Hamas Mind Set
I heard a BBC interview yesterday in which a member of Hamas, a PhD, was comparing what is going on in Gaza to having two children locked in a room with nothing but a small piece of bread - what else could they do but begin to fight over the bread? This is obvious. Eventually they will figure out that they can share. Like the two children in the story, we must give residents of Gaza time to sort things out.
My parents, both Holocaust survivors, were locked in bunkers with five people per sleeping board and not even a crust to share among them. They never did what those two fictional children locked in a room see as the only thing to do. Throughout the millennia, Jews have been locked in ghettos and oppressed with hardly a slice of bread between them, and they too used sticks and stones. They used them to scratch letters on the floor to teach their children to read. They took that crust and found a seed on top that they could plant to grow more wheat. Did you ever hear the old Jewish tale, "Something From Nothing"?
To the Hamas PhD it is obvious that when two children with nothing but a small piece of bread are locked in a room, they will fight. And so the population in Hamastan fights. And when they run out of enemies to fight, they fight each other.
To Jews it is obvious that when two children with nothing but a piece of bread are locked in a room, they will ration the bread until they figure out how to get more bread or get out of the locked room.
To the members of Hamastan, it is obvious that when you are left with the hothouses abandoned by your enemies, you break it apart and loot and destroy it to show your frustration with your situation and erase anything that reminds you of your enemies.
To the Jews it is obvious that when you find parts and broken pieces, you try to fix them or use them to build something useful.
To the members of Hamastan, it is obvious that when you have a small, crowded, barren piece of land with nothing to recommend it, you fight until the world recognizes your plight. You bravely sacrifice lives to destroy the neighboring enemies to make room to expand into their land and their homes.
To Jews it is obvious that if all you have is a small, crowded, barren piece of land, you drain the swamps and make the desert bloom, sometimes sacrificing lives to help build a future.
To the members of Hamstan it is obvious that if you manage to get hold of resources or money, you use them to bolster your leaders and buy weapons to fight your enemies.
To Jews, it is obvious that if you manage to get hold of resources or money, you feed your children, build hospitals and schools, then businesses that can generate more resources and money.
One of us ended up with a country that in 60 years' time rivals countries many-fold its size and many times its age.
One of us ended up with nothing but fear and destruction, and blaming everyone else but themselves for their situation.
Which type of people would you rather have as a neighbor and a partner in this world?

Sderot: The Next Round
SDEROT: TENSING UP FOR THE NEXT ROUND
By Rachel Saperstein, Neve Dekalim/Nitzan. e-mail:
ruchimo@netvision.net.il
An Israeli TV crew joined us on our trip to Sderot today. They are in
the process of shooting a short documentary on Gush Katif refugees in
which we appear.
"The bombing of Sderot is a direct consequence of our expulsion from
Gush Katif. I feel I should be here – to lend a hand, to write, to
bring the Sderot tragedy to the world. This is the Arab response to
being given Gush Katif land, buildings, farms and businesses," I say.
We stopped at the Sderot police station. Trays of Kassam rockets are
displayed. A group of visiting tourists gape. Each rocket has its own
designer label pointing to its factory of origin.
"The Israeli government threw out Jewish grandparents from Gush Katif
so that rockets can kill Jewish children," I cry out in pain.
Today I learn about the manufacturing of these rockets. The long
cylinders are the pipes of Gush Katif hothouses, the explosives are
made of Israeli chemical fertilizer, the factories are powered by
electricity from Israeli power plants. And under the noses of the
Israeli army the shooters send their vicious weapons to kill, to maim,
to destroy the Jewish people.
The TV crew has had enough of Sderot. They flee.
I continue on towards the synagogue that had taken a direct hit. The
study hall was still in shambles. Firemen give instructions to the
caretaker on how to proceed with repairs. The elderly men who once
came to the study hall to learn Torah are terrified of sitting in an
unprotected room. The cost of rebuilding the roof is far beyond the
means of the congregants. The caretaker begs us for help. Noam Bedein
of SderotMedia promises to put their request on his website.
We meet with Chana and Tsefania in their simply furnished apartment.
Chana is active in the Sderot Parent-Teacher Association. Brought up
on a kibbutz of Holocaust survivors, she thought that having a number
tattooed on your arm was natural. "I feel I've returned to the Shoah,"
she says. "I live with the tension that at any moment my family and
friends could be destroyed. I live in fear every moment of the day."
Tsefania, of Yemenite descent, was an army career officer. "I was for
the disengagement," he tells me. "Now I see how wrong I was. This is
the result. It's been quiet for the past three days, but I know the
bombings aren't over. I'm tensed up waiting for the next round and it
will be worse because I've let my guard down."
Noam puts on a disc of film he has taken in a Sderot kindergarten
during a Kassam rocket attack. We hear the `Red Alert' signal. The
teacher cries "Hurry, hurry children." Dozens of four-year-olds rush
to the shelter, sit on the floor, and count back from 10 to 1, and
then sing as hard as they can. "They sing at the top of their lungs so
they won't hear the boom of the rocket exploding."
Once again Jewish children are running for their lives and singing so
they won't hear the sound of the deadly rockets – built with Israel's
assistance – that can annihilate them in seconds.
Please pray for our people.

Dear Senator ...
The Honorable Tom Harkin
731 Hart Senate Office Building
Phone (202) 224 3254
Washington DC , 20510
Dear Senator Harkin,
As a native Iowan and excellent customer of the Internal Revenue Service, I am
writing to ask for your assistance. I have contacted the Department of Homeland
Security in an effort to determine the process for becoming an illegal alien and
they referred me to you.
My primary reason for wishing to change my status from U.S. Citizen to illegal
alien stems from the bill which was recently passed by the Senate and for which
you voted. If my understanding of this bill's provisions is accurate, as an
illegal alien who has been in the United States for five years, all I need to do
to become a citizen is to pay a $2,000 fine and income taxes for three of the
last five years. I know a good deal when I see one and I am anxious to get the
process started before everyone figures it out.
Simply put, those of us who have been here legally have had to pay taxes every
year so I'm excited about the prospect of avoiding two years of taxes in return
for paying a $2,000 fine. Is there any way that I can apply to be illegal
retroactively? This would yield an excellent result for me and my family because
we paid heavy taxes in 2004 and 2005.
Additionally, as an illegal alien, I could begin using the local emergency room
as my primary health care provider. Once I have stopped paying premiums for
medical insurance, my accountant figures I could save almost $10,000 a year.
Another benefit in gaining illegal status would be that my daughter would
receive preferential treatment relative to her law school applications, as well
as "in-state" tuition rates for many coll eges throughout the United States for
my son.
Lastly, I understand that illegal status would relieve me of the burden of
renewing my driver's license and making those burdensome car insurance premiums.
This is very important to me given that I still have college age children
driving my car.
If you would provide me with an outline of the process to become illegal
(retroactively if possible) and copies of the necessary forms, I would be most
appreciative.
Thank you for your assistance.

President Bush was so buoyed by the warm reception he was given in Albania
that he immediately gave all 3 million Albanians American citizenship,
provided they learn Spanish. The offer was withdrawn when Bush found out
most Albanians haven't broken any U.S. laws.
Bush keeps claiming he's dying to enforce the border, but he just can't do
it unless we immediately grant amnesty to 12 million illegal aliens. I
wonder if that worked on Laura Bush:
Laura: George, it's time you quit drinking.
George: OK, honey, let's discuss it over cocktails.
How about Bush enforce the border and then we'll discuss his amnesty plan?
He assures us that granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants
already here won't inspire millions more to run across the border because
... he's going to put infrared lights at the border!
Well, that's a relief. What precisely will infrared lights do again? This
is worse than those fake cameras they sell at hardware stores to make it
look like you have cameras outside your house. We still need something or
someone - say, a wall or a Border Patrol agent - to stop the Mexicans
illegally crossing the border as we watch them on the infrared cameras.
Bush won't build a wall and he keeps prosecuting law enforcement officers
who stop illegal border crossers. But trust him: He'll get right on that
border enforcement business as soon as we grant amnesty to 12 million
illegal aliens.
Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean are normally the sort of
Mexican-Americans Bush would tear up at while promoting amnesty for
illegal aliens. Both served in the military and are taxpaying, law-abiding
citizens. They've been risking their lives as Border Patrol agents for
years.
Ramos was nominated for Border Patrol Agent of the Year in 2005. His
nomination received a major setback when the Bush administration decided
to put him in prison instead. Ramos and Compean are now serving more than
10 years apiece in solitary confinement for chasing a drug-running illegal
alien back to Mexico.
Bush's pal, U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, gave immunity to a Mexican drug
dealer hauling a million dollars worth of drugs across the border so that
the drug dealer could testify against two Border Patrol agents who shot
him in the buttocks.
The border patrol agents were presumed guilty of an unlawful shooting
because they neglected to fill out the proper paperwork. For busting a cap
in the butt of a drug courier crossing the border illegally - who was so
mortally wounded that he proceeded to scamper back to Mexico - they were
supposed to spend five hours filling out paperwork. This is what the Bush
administration means when it talks about a "cover-up." As U.S. prosecutor
Debra Kanof said, "You have to report any discharge of a firearm."
Intriguingly, Kanof also says: "The Border Patrol pursuit policy prohibits
the pursuit of someone." (Hence, the oft-heard warning of the border agent
in hot pursuit, "Stop or I'll ... do absolutely nothing!") Can we apply
this rule to meter maids and tax collectors? At least now border agents
will be able to watch the illegal aliens they can't pursue on infrared
cameras!
But wait - that's not all! The Border Patrol agents also exceeded the
speed limit. "In order to exceed the speed limit," Kanof said, "you have
to get supervisor approval, and they did not." It's just so hard to fill
out a written request to exceed the speed limit when you're off-roading at
65 mph. There's a whispering campaign suggesting that Ramos and Compean
failed to use their turn signal.
As I understand it, you're also supposed to not cross the border illegally
from Mexico with a van full of drugs. But the Bush administration has no
interest in enforcing those laws. Ninety-eight percent of illegal aliens
captured crossing the border illegally are not prosecuted. Those drugs are
doing the job American drugs just won't do!
The Bush administration pulls out the big guns only for serious violations
like a Border Patrol officer not filling out paperwork.
In addition to giving the illegal alien drug smuggler full immunity to
testify against U.S. Border Patrol agents, the government gave him
taxpayer-funded medical care for his buttocks wound, an unconditional
border-crossing card, the right to sue the U.S. for "civil rights"
violations, and a GAP gift card. The drug runner is also on the short-list
to replace Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.
He's now suing the U.S. for $5 million, but the Bush administration is
hoping to bargain him down to $10 million.
That border-crossing card came in handy when the winged illegal alien
brought in another load of drugs a short eight months later - for which he
has still not been charged, nearly two years later. Who does he think he
is? Rep. William Jefferson?
Bush's pal Sutton keeps defending his decision to prosecute Border Patrol
agents for paperwork violations, rather than an illegal alien for drug
trafficking, on the grounds that the drug dealer has not been charged with
any crimes. Let's see, whose job is it to charge that Mexican drug runner
with a crime? Why, I believe that would be Johnny Sutton!
Maybe Sutton was too busy prosecuting another Mexican-American law
enforcement officer for trying to stop illegal aliens from crossing our
border. Deputy Sheriff Gilmer Hernandez shot at the tires of a van full of
illegal aliens, inadvertently wounding one of the aliens. Sutton
prosecuted Hernandez. The government proceeded to give the illegal aliens
green cards and $100,000 each.
I didn't realize "living in the shadows" meant in the shadows of palm
trees around the pools at taxpayer-funded houses.
Illegal aliens might want to rethink Bush's amnesty plan. The only
Hispanics Bush seems to prosecute are the ones who are law-abiding U.S.
citizens.

Micronesia Boycotts Britain !
A tiny island nation in the middle of the Pacific Ocean has come to the defense of the State of Israel yet again over the recent boycott of its academics by the British University and College Union. The Union of Micronesian Academics, which consists of three members - two in "Iron Crafting," and one in "Irrigation Sciences," claim that the British Boycott is counter-productive.
"Israeli academics have been at the forefront, making discoveries in medicine, environmental sciences, and computer technologies," said union representative Samik Lenosid. "And what have the British given us? Besides for Monty Python and Mr. Bean, I am not sure. For that, we are boycotting the British."
The Micronesians are not alone in voicing criticism about the British boycott. Israel is even receiving support from the most unlikely of places. Sari Nusseibeh, president of the Palestinian al-Quds University located in East Jerusalem said, "Israeli Academics have been amongst the most progressive and peace minded people around the world. Boycotting these people would be counter to the principles of academic freedom and hurt the cause of peace in the Middle East."
British University and College Union head Paul Mackney responded, "Palestinian academics do not know what they want. This boycott is really quite good for them." To which Mr. Nusseibeh retorted, "No it's not." Mackney was reported to have responded, "Yes it is."
Micronesia's support for the Jewish state is not new. They consider themselves stalwart supporters, rarely voting against Israel in the United Nations. When asked why, Micronesian Vice President Alik L. Alik explained, "Israel is the only free and open democracy in a sea of totalitarian neighbors, yet they still manage to lead the world in so many crucial endeavors. That and we love the mud from the Dead Sea. It keeps our skin very smooth."
Micronesia doesn't just vote with Israel on the United Nations floor, they are also known to stand up for the Holy Land in the sub-committee groups where much of the anti-Israel rhetoric takes place. Reportedly, after hearing Libya and Uzbekistan speak derogatorily about Israel, Micronesia piped up and said, "Oh no you didn't! I know you didn't just say that about Israel, because if you did, you'd be getting a whole lot of Micronesian hurt coming your way and I know you don't want that."
When asked what their end goal was, the Micronesians in charge of the boycott boycott responded, "We would like the nations of the world to follow our lead and choose at least one nation to boycott. If we are lucky, in no time at all we will all be boycotting each other, and within a few years, academic research will only be done on Wikipedia."

You Get What You Ask For ...
Some of us knew from day one that Bush would make a disastrous President. We correctly assumed he would get us into a war just to prolong his reign. We also correctly assumed he would use religious and business voter/contributor bases to grab as much power as possible. Bush did not have to be 'elected' at all. Using his family influence he was able to wrest the election from Al Gore (who whimpered but did not fight) by having the Supreme court proclaim him President in a narrowly split decision.
Winning in 2004 was accomplished by repeating the mantras 'global war on terror', and 'you are either for us, or against us'. The Bush team, more a cabal really, relied on the apathy of Americans to win. They knew it has always been true that Americans are too lazy to actually seek the truth and would always vote for bumper sticker slogans. Bush proclaimed that he had earned 'capital' in this election and would endeavor to spend it right away.
Now here it is 2007 and it has taken 7 years of incompetence in the Executive Branch for the tide to turn against the 'worst President ever'. And this shall be his legacy. George W. Bush has done more harm to our country during his arrogant reign than even Richard Nixon could have dreamed of. We have no credibility in the entire world. A recent photo-op in Albania shows his adoring fans as unable to contain themselves in his presence. Albania is welcome to him.
George Bush is a man who over spent his political currency while bankrupting our country. He is a man who takes short term gain over long term security every time. In his protected upbringing he was shown that personal wealth will always insulate you from the ruination you leave in your path. It could take 50 to 100 years to recover from his reign of stupidity, if at all. Future Presidents must endeavor to work at repairing the rips in our relationships world wide to say nothing of the horrendous debt he has created along with nearly insurmountable trade deficits.
Volumes can be written, and probably will be, about how his greed and arrogance have set us back to near ruin. But we must not simply wallow in the morass of his stupidity and our own, but remember this lesson and do something about it.
Scholars will study how his policies of greed alienated his own party while making friends and supporters of the Democrats. Such a thing has not been accomplished since the segregation/integration policies of the late 50s and early 60s. Scholars will also compare the downfall of Rome to our own situation, as they are similarly greed-driven.
Analytical psychologists will tell us, we were warned by George himself. His insistence on mispronouncing 'nuclear' into a bastardized, 3 syllable, version shows his stubbornness to carry on even knowing he is dead wrong. And so he has ...
I must admit I am getting some satisfaction watching Bushies by the dozen jumping ship as his popularity slips below sea level. They mistook his arrogant self-confidence for qualified leadership and he sailed the ship of state into a field of icebergs. We are now hoping the crew of the ship will save the passengers rather than using all the lifeboats for themselves.
And by now we all know there is ample evidence to prosecute Bush and Company for a list of crimes, but we will no doubt let them walk away. This is quite the opposite of what would happen were the parties in power reversed.
And whose fault is all this? It is your fault because you either voted strict party lines because you are too lazy to get to know the candidates, or you are so lazy you didn’t vote at all.

Highest Islamic Authorties: Tits, Clits, & Pee Pee
If the NY Times owned International Herald Tribune is recognizing this barbarianism - then you know it is completely out of hand.
A fatwa free-for-all in the Islamic world IHT
First came the breast-feeding fatwa: It declared that the Islamic restriction on unmarried men and women being together could be lifted at work if the woman breast-fed her male colleagues five times. Then came the urine fatwa: It said that drinking the urine of the Prophet Muhammad was deemed a blessing.
For the past few weeks, the breast-feeding and urine fatwas have proved a source of national embarrassment in Egypt, not least because they were issued by representatives of the highest religious authorities in the land.
"We were very angered when we heard about the Danish cartoons concerning our Prophet," wrote Galal Amin in the newspaper Al Masry Al Yom, referring to the 2005 publication of cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad that caused an international uproar. "However, these two fatwas are harming our Islamic religion and our Prophet more than the cartoons."
For many Muslims, fatwas, or religious edicts, are the bridge between the principles of their faith and modern life. They are supposed to be issued by religious scholars who look to the Koran and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad for guidance.
While the more sensational pronouncements grab attention, the bulk of the fatwas involve the routine of daily life. In Egypt alone, thousands are issued every month.

Comment to the President
Let's give our President some mail to read when he gets back home.
comments@whitehouse.gov
Mr. President;
We are told that we should place our trust in you and the Congress that, if a comprehensive immigration reform bill is passed in the Senate, you will finally fulfill your Constitutional oath and secure our borders.
It strikes me, of course, that we have all known that our unsecured borders have been the source of the majority of the illegal immigration problem for many, many years. ( actually, since the unfulfilled promises of the last amnesty bill in the 1980's ).
So why are we not working feverishly at this very moment to get the fence built ( remember the fence that was approved by Congress last October? ).
Why are we not going all out to recruit and train new Border Patrol Agents?
I see advertisements daily on TV for the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, etc., but never have I seen an ad for the U.S. Border Patrol.
And just why is it, Mr. President, that Federal Prosecutor Johnny Sutton is still hard at work finding hard working career Border Patrol Agents to harshly prosecute for going above and beyond the call of duty to protect our nation from drug smugglers, slave labor smugglers, terrorists and illegal aliens?
I speak with Border Patrol Agents every month up here on the Canadian border, and they definately have gotten your message; "Don't take your job too seriously. We really don't want our borders secured."
You've taken the side of La Raza, Mecha, the ACLU and other hate groups in trying to label people like Lou Dobbs, the Minutemen, and anyone else who is for controlled legal immigration as racists, hate mongers and generally not wanting "what's best for America". I suppose Senator Jeff Sessions will now be added to this group since he stood up and spoke the truth on C-Span.
Everyone noticed that you managed to slip into the failed immigration bill a couple of pages meant to expedite the implementation of the Security & Prosperity Partnership, further saddleing the American taxpayers with mountains of debt to help Mexico improve their econony and secure their southern border & ports.
Just when do you plan to explain to the American people how we would benefit from a North American Union with Canada and the nation to our south ( you know; the one that has the most corrupt government in the western hemisphere; MEXICO!!)
So, Mr. President, I will not be among those who pay any attention at all to your pleas to be trusted. You see, I'm retired and living on my Social Security and I have recently learned that you plan to give that away through a "totalization agreement with Mexico that lets illegal aliens share in our bankrupt SOCIAL SECURITY TRUST FUND. Ooops, there's that word again.
In fact, I will be out in the streets of Seattle with some of my fellow Americans getting the message out that you and our Congress should all be thrown out of office and replaced by some people who really do want what is best for America.

Letter to the Editor, Seattle Times
These illegal immigrants are in the mess they're in because of their own choices and actions; no one dragged them kicking and screaming against their will across the border.
An American citizen cannot choose which laws of this country to obey and which to ignore; an immigrant who has no citizenship status whatsoever certainly does not enjoy that privilege, either.
This is the root issue: They have broken the law by illegally entering this country and now demand to be rewarded for their crimes with citizenship. I do not support their cause because I do not support lawbreakers. It is that simple.
If they want to become American citizens, there is an established process in place by which that goal may be achieved.
To allow these 12 million criminals, because that is what they are, to become American citizens is a slap in the face to every immigrant who waited patiently for the opportunity to enter this country legally.

What Bush Could Learn From Eisenhower ... if he had the will
By John Dillin
WASHINGTON – George W. Bush isn't the first Republican president to face a full-blown immigration crisis on the US-Mexican border.
Fifty-three years ago, when newly elected Dwight Eisenhower moved into the White House, America's southern frontier was as porous as a spaghetti sieve. As many as 3 million illegal migrants had walked and waded northward over a period of several years for jobs in California, Arizona, Texas, and points beyond.
President Eisenhower cut off this illegal traffic. He did it quickly and decisively with only 1,075 United States Border Patrol agents - less than one-tenth of today's force. The operation is still highly praised among veterans of the Border Patrol.
Although there is little to no record of this operation in Ike's official papers, one piece of historic evidence indicates how he felt. In 1951, Ike wrote a letter to Sen. William Fulbright (D) of Arkansas. The senator had just proposed that a special commission be created by Congress to examine unethical conduct by government officials who accepted gifts and favors in exchange for special treatment of private individuals.
General Eisenhower, who was gearing up for his run for the presidency, said "Amen" to Senator Fulbright's proposal. He then quoted a report in The New York Times, highlighting one paragraph that said: "The rise in illegal border-crossing by Mexican 'wetbacks' to a current rate of more than 1,000,000 cases a year has been accompanied by a curious relaxation in ethical standards extending all the way from the farmer-exploiters of this contraband labor to the highest levels of the Federal Government."
Years later, the late Herbert Brownell Jr., Eisenhower's first attorney general, said in an interview with this writer that the president had a sense of urgency about illegal immigration when he took office.
America "was faced with a breakdown in law enforcement on a very large scale," Mr. Brownell said. "When I say large scale, I mean hundreds of thousands were coming in from Mexico [every year] without restraint."
Although an on-and-off guest-worker program for Mexicans was operating at the time, farmers and ranchers in the Southwest had become dependent on an additional low-cost, docile, illegal labor force of up to 3 million, mostly Mexican, laborers.
According to the Handbook of Texas Online, published by the University of Texas at Austin and the Texas State Historical Association, this illegal workforce had a severe impact on the wages of ordinary working Americans. The Handbook Online reports that a study by the President's Commission on Migratory Labor in Texas in 1950 found that cotton growers in the Rio Grande Valley, where most illegal aliens in Texas worked, paid wages that were "approximately half" the farm wages paid elsewhere in the state.
Profits from illegal labor led to the kind of corruption that apparently worried Eisenhower. Joseph White, a retired 21-year veteran of the Border Patrol, says that in the early 1950s, some senior US officials overseeing immigration enforcement "had friends among the ranchers," and agents "did not dare" arrest their illegal workers.
Walt Edwards, who joined the Border Patrol in 1951, tells a similar story. He says: "When we caught illegal aliens on farms and ranches, the farmer or rancher would often call and complain [to officials in El Paso]. And depending on how politically connected they were, there would be political intervention. That is how we got into this mess we are in now."
Bill Chambers, who worked for a combined 33 years for the Border Patrol and the then-called US Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), says politically powerful people are still fueling the flow of illegals.
During the 1950s, however, this "Good Old Boy" system changed under Eisenhower - if only for about 10 years.
In 1954, Ike appointed retired Gen. Joseph "Jumpin' Joe" Swing, a former West Point classmate and veteran of the 101st Airborne, as the new INS commissioner.
Influential politicians, including Sen. Lyndon B. Johnson (D) of Texas and Sen. Pat McCarran (D) of Nevada, favored open borders, and were dead set against strong border enforcement, Brownell said. But General Swing's close connections to the president shielded him - and the Border Patrol - from meddling by powerful political and corporate interests.
One of Swing's first decisive acts was to transfer certain entrenched immigration officials out of the border area to other regions of the country where their political connections with people such as Senator Johnson would have no effect.
Then on June 17, 1954, what was called "Operation Wetback" began. Because political resistance was lower in California and Arizona, the roundup of aliens began there. Some 750 agents swept northward through agricultural areas with a goal of 1,000 apprehensions a day. By the end of July, over 50,000 aliens were caught in the two states. Another 488,000, fearing arrest, had fled the country.
By mid-July, the crackdown extended northward into Utah, Nevada, and Idaho, and eastward to Texas.
By September, 80,000 had been taken into custody in Texas, and an estimated 500,000 to 700,000 illegals had left the Lone Star State voluntarily.
Unlike today, Mexicans caught in the roundup were not simply released at the border, where they could easily reenter the US. To discourage their return, Swing arranged for buses and trains to take many aliens deep within Mexico before being set free.
Tens of thousands more were put aboard two hired ships, the Emancipation and the Mercurio. The ships ferried the aliens from Port Isabel, Texas, to Vera Cruz, Mexico, more than 500 miles south.
The sea voyage was "a rough trip, and they did not like it," says Don Coppock, who worked his way up from Border Patrolman in 1941 to eventually head the Border Patrol from 1960 to 1973.
Mr. Coppock says he "cannot understand why [President] Bush let [today's] problem get away from him as it has. I guess it was his compassionate conservatism, and trying to please [Mexican President] Vincente Fox."
There are now said to be 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens in the US. Of the Mexicans who live here, an estimated 85 percent are here illegally.
Americans Are Fed Up !
The President of the United States
The Mississippi Congressional Delegation
For Staff: Please pass to the President and the Congressmen/Senators. Thanks
Sirs;
The American people are fed up with the corrupt political system. The two party system is so corrupt that I doubt very seriously that it can be repaired.
Both parties are guilty of selling out the America that we once knew as the "Greatest Country in the World".
The Illegal Immigration Act that is currently being debated is virtually the last straw.
The Republican party wants this bill to pass for the big corporation and elite, the Democrats want it to pass for the possible votes that they can gain from the Illegals. Now even the Churches are getting involved, especially the Catholic Church. They want this to pass because most Illegals are of the Catholic Faith and thus more members and more money for the Catholic Churches. Using the Churches for Shelter from law enforcement is will become a "Sham"
Other items that your Administration is shoving down the throats of the American people.
1. The "Totalization Agreement" .This agreement allows Illegals Immigrants to become eligible for Social Security benefits. As you know, this agreement is currently at State Dept and become law in 60 days after it is received by Congress--unless Congress kill the bill.
2. The North American Union. Free and open borders between Mexico the U.S. and Canada.
3. Allowing State Governments with approval of the Federal Government to sell portions of our Toll roads to foreign Companies and government. For e\example, The Pennsylvania Turn Pike, Indiana toll roads are being bought and or leased for 100 years by companies in Spain, Australia. This is happening right now. These Roads were built with the American Taxpayers money and You are selling or leasing them to foreign countries.
4. This Administration allowed a foreign Airline to begin flying between American Cities this past week.
The law had stated that a foreign Airline or Company could not own more than 25 % of an Ameican Airline.
This week it was approved for Virgin Atlantic Airways to begin flying between American cities. How much did the British Billionaire, Richard Branson pay to Congress get this done?
5. Our Food Chain is not safe and that includes some of our toothpaste, but yet the budget for inspectors has been cut. We get at least 30 % our our food supply from foreign countries and we inspect less than 1 % of that Chain.
6. Our ports are unprotected and being sold to foreign countries and governments.
7. Borders are not secure and the Dept. of Homeland Security is in Shambles.
8. Many of our Pharmaucitals are now manufactured in foreign countries. FDA also appears to be in total Shambles.
This is just a short list of items that your Adminstration has ignored , because you are concerned about your legacy.
These last six years will go down in History as the worst ever in American Politics.
In fact Newt Grinich summed it up very accurately today. The Republican Party is in total Chaos.
Sen. John McCain using scare tactics said today there will be Total Chaos and riots in the streets of American Cities if this Immigration bill does not pass. Your Sir and the Republican Party, the Democratic Party all share and equal amount of blame.
May I remind you Sirs, there are 1.9 Million Military Retirees and 26 Million Plus Veterans that want our country back before it is too late.

Quotes of Conquest
"They're afraid we're going to take over the governmental institutions and other institutions. They're right. We will take them over . . .
The explosion is in our population . .. I love it. They are shitting in their pants with fear. I love it." Professor Jose Angel Gutierrez, University of Texas
"Remember 187--proposition to deny taxpayer funds for services to non-citizens--was the last gasp of white America in California." Art Torres, Chairman of the California Democratic Party,
"We are politicizing every single one of these new citizens that are becoming citizens of this country . . .
"We are practicing 'La Reconquista' in California." Jose Pescador Osuna, Mexican Consul General ,
"We need to avoid a white backlash by using codes understood by Latinos . . . " Professor Fernando Guerra, Loyola Marymount University
Times, Orange County, California is home to 275 gangs with 17,000 members; 98% of which are Mexican and Asian. How's your county doing?
Is education important to you? Here are the words of a teacher who spent over 20 years in the Los Angeles School system. "Imagine teachers in classes containing 30-40 students of widely varying attention spans and motivation, many of whom aren't fluent in English. Educators seek learning materials likely to reach the majority of students and that means fewer words and math problems and more pictures and multicultural references."
WHEN I WAS YOUNG: When I was young, I remember hearing about the immigrants that came through Ellis Island. They wanted to learn English. They wanted to breath free. They wanted to become Americans. Now too many immigrants come here with demands. They demand to be taught in their own language. They demand special privileges--affirmative action. They demand ethnic studies that glorify their culture.

Duncan Hunter on Senate Failure
DUNCAN HUNTER EXPRESSES "FIERCE DISAPPOINTMENT" OVER SENATE AMNESTY PROPOSAL
I vow to oppose this legislation supported by Senators Edward Kennedy and John McCain. It provides a vast new immigration benefit to millions of illegal aliens who have broken our laws to live in the United States. I opposed the 1986 amnesty act because of this same reason. It proved to be the draw that we predicted it would be. I am deeply disappointed to see history repeating itself.
This package will confirm to the world that the U.S. does not really mean what it says when it comes to immigration enforcement. As a result of the citizenship benefit included in this legislation, despite the fine print, we will see a stampede across our borders.
This vast new amnesty and expansive guest worker program will surely be ridden with fraud and abuse, and ultimately lead to millions of public-assistance-dependent immigrants.
The Senate's decision to blatantly ignore the Secure Fence Act signed into law last year and only require construction of 370 miles of fence, as opposed to the 854 miles mandated by the law, is a dramatic failure of this legislation. The San Diego border fence has proven that fencing works. The time has come to quickly implement the Secure Fence Act, not retreat from its mandates.
I believe that this package will result in lower wages for America's already-struggling families by encouraging the importation of cheap foreign labor rather than investing, developing and growing a domestic workforce that will sustain our economy far into the future.
Amnesty is not the answer. Border enforcement must be first and it must be comprehensive. To do otherwise is to repeat the mistakes of the past. This Senate bill is bad for Americans, bad for our workers, bad for law enforcement and, most importantly, bad for national security. I will fight it. Please join with me.
