FBI: Gun sales up, murders down

The Federal Bureau of Investigation reports a ten percent drop in murders during the first six months of 2009, while at a time US gun sales are going through the roof, according to reports obtained by the National Association of Chiefs of Police. Meanwhile, gun sales to private citizens soared almost 30 percent during that same period.
Gun rights advocates claim that these numbers are further proof that there is no correlation between gun ownership and violent crime, state officials from the Second Amendment Foundation, a civil rights group. Further, the SAF contends that the increase in private citizen gun-ownership may have had an impact on reducing violent crime.
In a survey conducted by the National Association of Chiefs of Police of the nation's police executives, with regard to private citizens owning firearms for sport or self-defense, 93.6 percent of the respondents supported civilian gun-ownership rights. Ninety-six percent of the police chiefs and sheriffs believe criminals obtain firearms from illegal sources and 92.2 percent revealed they hadn't arrested anyone for violation of the so-called "waiting period" laws. When asked if citizens' concealed-weapons permits would reduce violent crime, 63.1 percent said yes.
The latest FBI data show that homicides declined by 10 percent from the same period in 2008. Meanwhile, data released by the FBI's National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) shows that during the first six months of this year, gun sales were up.
January 2009 background checks rose 28.8 percent over the same month in 2008, February's NICS checks were up 23.3 percent and in March they were up 29.9 percent over March 2008. The trend continued in April, with NICS checks up 30.3 percent, while May showed a slowdown, up only 15.5 percent, and in June they were up 18.1 percent.
"What this shows," said SAF Executive Vice President Alan Gottlieb, "is that gun prohibitionists are all wrong when they argue that more guns result in more crime. Firearms in the hands of law-abiding citizens are no threat to anyone. Perhaps violent criminals were actually discouraged by all of those gun sales earlier this year, because the media made a point of reporting the booming gun market.
"Anti-gunners," he continued, "have lost another one of their baseless arguments. Millions of Americans bought guns during the first six months of this year, many of them for the first time. Yet with all of those new guns in circulation, coupled with an increased demand for concealed carry licenses around the country, the streets have not been awash in blood, as gun banners repeatedly predict.
"Hard facts trump hot air," Gottlieb concluded. "These people are consistently wrong about our rights. Millions of people bought guns, especially semiautomatic sport-utility rifles that gun grabbers want to ban because they say people aren't safe with all of those guns in private hands. Well, the people disagree, and so does the data."
In fact, while gun-control enthusiasts point to accidental shootings or misuse of firearms cases to bolster their claims, numerous studies have shown there are between 600,000 and one million protective uses of firearms by citizens (Northwestern University School of Law, Gary Kleck & Marc Gertz).
"Studies have shown that the incidents of proper use of guns by US citizens far outweigh any abuses or misuses. In my own law enforcement career, must guns used in a crime are illegally obtained. If a suspect is willing to walk into a bank full of people to rob it, I doubt he'd be worried about violating some gun law," said former NYPD detective Mike Snipes, now the owner of a private security firm.
"This obsession with gun control by politicians and activists has more to do with disarming law-abiding citizens and less to do with fighting crime," he added.
The Second Amendment Foundation is the nation's oldest and largest tax-exempt education, research, publishing and legal action group focusing on the Constitutional right and heritage to privately own and possess firearms. Founded in 1974, The Foundation has grown to more than 650,000 members and supporters and conducts many programs designed to better inform the public about the consequences of gun control.

18 December 2009: Readers of Canada Free Press and the Northeast East Intelligence Network will recall our initial report published in February 2006 about Jamaat ul Fuqra, an Islamic terrorist group operating under the guise of legitimacy by adopting benign sounding identities such as the International Quranic Open University and the Muslims of the Americas. The reality is that Jamaat ul Fuqra is a fully operational Islamic terrorist organization firmly embedded throughout the U.S. and Canada and led by top Pakistani terror leader Shiek Mubarek Ali Gilani of Lahore, Pakistan. Gilani is most well known for his role in the death of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, a claim denied by Gilani and the subject of an ongoing dispute among terrorism investigators.
Federal investigators confirmed that Jamat ul Fuqra members have been responsible for at least a dozen murders, 17 bombings and fire bombings, and several assassinations and attempted assassinations. The perpetrators of those terrorist acts received their paramilitary training at the Islamberg compound in New York State. In the weeks preceding the 9/11 attacks, nearby residents to the Islamic compound witnessed male residents of the compound, dressed in military type fatigues, running in military style formation on the rural road adjacent to the Muslim owned property. Other residents heard the sounds of gunfire and small explosions coming from the depths of the expansive property.
In our 2006 report, the public was informed of specific activities of this terrorist organization that were taking place on our own soil. Such activities included paramilitary training such as live-fire weapons training, using an elementary school bus as a practice target for weapons and bomb training, repelling, and various forms of urban assault training. It is critically important to understand that our report was a product of a lengthy investigation performed by skilled, veteran investigators with years of field experience in covert surveillance and investigative techniques.
To state that the publication of our investigative findings in 2006 report caused a stir domestically and even internationally would be quite an understatement. Our report was met by a scathing, if not delusional and inherently threatening response by Gilani himself, who claims that our report was the product of a Zionist conspiracy to fuel a holy war by Jews and Christians against Muslims. The report, printed and shown to Jamaat ul Fuqra leaders, called the report a product of “Kosher kids,” and obviously denied every aspect of the report.
Unsurprisingly, our report was also met with skepticism by media pundits and Internet Bloggers who described as “ridiculous” that such Islamic paramilitary training compounds could be permitted to exist in North America. Others felt that if such activity was indeed occurring on American or U.S. soil, authorities would most certainly take the necessary action to protect its citizens. Despite all such skepticism, our report was cited by the Regional Organized Crime Information Center (ROCIC) and gained the attention of several state and federal law enforcement officials in three countries. Additional citations have been included in such reputable law enforcement publications such as The Counter-Terrorist, and have been included in a number of books on Islamic terrorism. Interestingly and somewhat telling to those who understand the nature of law enforcement and government matters, many of the facts taken from our initial report remain classified as “confidential,” “law enforcement sensitive,” and in one case on a federal level, even “classified.”
Five weeks after the issuance of our report, U.S. law enforcement officials personally visited this investigator, stating that an informant admitted Gilani sent instructions to each of the compound leaders in North America, providing specific advice on the methods to use to counter the growing attention to the published report. That international communication also contained my personal information and professional identity, with instructions to prevent any further investigation into their organization. While sympathetic, they said they were powerless to do anything proactive. To add insult to potential injury, they also stated that there were no plans to open an investigation into this organization, a decision that was reportedly made by government officials “at a much higher pay grade.” It was a conversation that I remember well, but not unexpected or surprising based on my previous experience with federal officials.
As the Northeast Intelligence Network and Canada Free Press continued our combined covert investigation into the activities of this terror organization, other Internet-based organizations created a cottage industry with various films and informational products based, in part, on our initial findings. Some of these documentaries appear to take artistic license with the facts, although none need any embellishment as the stone-cold truth is sufficiently disturbing.
As the popularity of such videos grew, many internal workings of the terrorist group, including but not limited to some of their physical locations, operational tactics, paramilitary training and even business front organizations were changed to ultimately avoid further probes into their activities. Although the current videos offer valuable insight of their past operations, they may not accurately reflect the most updated operations and tactics presently being employed by this growing threat. Accordingly, the real and present danger of this group and the threat they present has been marginalized at a time we can least afford to have the truth tossed into the ashbin of urban legend.
Today, the threat posed by these domestic terrorists is more severe than initially reported. Now more than ever is time to be very concerned. The operational tempo of Jamaat ul Fuqra is on the rise, and people need to be updated of this growing threat.
Since 2006, the changes to Jamaat ul Fuqra have been both obvious and subtle, the latter posing the greatest threat to our safety. This initial article will address some important changes since our initial report, with additional reports to follow.
One thing must be understood. The individuals involved in this terrorist group are determined, dangerous, deadly deceptive, and of course, deadly. They are fiercely loyal to Sheik Gilani who has gained significant influence in Pakistan due to events in that country over the last few years. Gilani’s reach and influence with his U.S. followers has risen since 2006. His abilities have increased and have been emboldened by our domestic policies on Islamic terrorism. Free speech goes on trial in the Netherlands on January 20, when Dutch politician Geert Wilders appears before the Amsterdam District Court on charges of having “intentionally offended a group of people, i.e. Muslims, based on their religion,” as well as having incited to hatred and discrimination.
What did Wilders do to warrant such charges? He told the truth about the global jihad and Islamic supremacism, and their roots in Islamic texts and teachings, in his film Fitna and elsewhere. But nowadays truth-telling is at such a premium that those who still dare to engage in it are threatened, harassed and prosecuted.
But Wilders is defiant: “On the 20th of January 2010, a political trial will start. I am being prosecuted for my political convictions. The freedom of speech is on the verge of collapsing. If a politician is not allowed to criticise an ideology anymore, this means that we are lost, and it will lead to the end of our freedom. However I remain combative: I am convinced that I will be acquitted.”
The very idea of trying someone for offending someone else is absurd – especially when the offended group is known to traffic in the PC multiculturalist coin of wounded feelings, so as to gain the political power that comes from victim status. That the Amsterdam District Court would aid and abet this absurdity and obvious manipulation unmasks the Wilders trial – even before it starts – as what it really is: an attempt by the nation’s political elites to silence one of their most formidable critics. The one who has the power to decide what is an actionable offensive statement or prosecutable incitement has the power to control the discourse – and that’s what the prosecution of Wilders is all about. If offending someone is a crime, can those who find hate speech laws offensive bring suit against their framers?
The action against Wilders is taking place, moreover, against the backdrop of the 57-government Organization of the Islamic Conference’s ongoing efforts at the United Nations to silence speech that they deem critical of Islam — including “defamation of Islam” that goes under the “pretext” of “freedom of expression, counter terrorism or national security.”
If they succeed in doing this, Europeans and Americans will be rendered mute, and thus defenseless, in the face of the advancing jihad and attempt to impose Sharia on the West — in fact, one of the key elements of the laws for dhimmis, non-Muslims subjugated under Islamic rule, is that they are never critical of Islam, Muhammad, or the Qur’an. Thus this prosecution in Amsterdam not only aids the advance of Sharia in the West, but is itself an element of that advance.
The stakes are so high in the Wilders case also because the OIC has a new, powerful ally as it moves against the freedom of speech. In October the Obama Administration actually co-sponsored an anti-free speech resolution at the United Nations. Approved by the U.N. Human Rights Council, the resolution, cosponsored by the U.S. and Egypt, calls on states to condemn and criminalize “any advocacy of national, racial or religious hatred that constitutes incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence.”
Echoing Obama’s stated determination to combat “negative stereotyping of Islam” in the United States, the resolution also condemns “negative stereotyping of religions and racial groups.” This is, of course, an oblique reference to accurate reporting about the jihad doctrine and Islamic supremacism — for such reporting, and not actual negative stereotyping or hateful language at all, is always the focus of OIC complaints.
Last year the Secretary General of the OIC, Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, issued a warning: “We sent a clear message to the West regarding the red lines that should not be crossed” regarding free speech about Islam and terrorism. And he reported success: “The official West and its public opinion are all now well-aware of the sensitivities of these issues. They have also started to look seriously into the question of freedom of expression from the perspective of its inherent responsibility, which should not be overlooked.”
For the first time, an American President has bowed to the OIC’s demands and taken cognizance of that “responsibility.”
But Geert Wilders, and all those who stand with him, have a responsibility, too. We have a responsibility to bear witness to the world that the freedom of speech is a cornerstone of any free society, and that once it is gone, there is no defense against tyranny, no safeguard against the encroaching power of a protected class against whom there is no appeal, and from whose rulings there is no dissent. If Geert Wilders is found guilty, tyranny and authoritarianism will have won a huge victory in Europe, and in the world in general.
The stakes are as high as they can possibly be. Geert Wilders must prevail. If he does not, Europe, and America, and the world, are in for a long, dark night.

In the Chicago suburbs on December 20, 2009, a group that has conspired to deny Americans their Constitutional and civil rights will be using a government-managed facility to recruit new members to their supremacist cause. In this case it will be the Islamic supremacist Hizb ut-Tahrir America organization, which will be using the Lombard Park District community building in the Village of Lombard.
On July 19, 2009, the Hizb ut-Tahrir America organization held a recruitment meeting in another Chicago suburb of Oak Lawn, Illinois, in the Hilton Hotel. The self-defined supremacist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir America at the July 19 event distributed brochures to the public calling for the "death penalty" for those who committed the "treason" of leaving Islam; this is found on page 62 of Hizb ut-Tahrir's brochure titled "Islamic reformation." There is no public condemnation of this anti-democracy, supremacist international Hizb ut-Tahrir organization, with a long history of making death threats both in the U.S. and around the world. There is no public call for Hizb ut-Tahrir to retract its continuing promotion in the United States of a document calling for "the death penalty" against "apostates."
Wouldn't we be outraged if white supremacists were using a government-managed community building to hold meetings? Wouldn't we be more than outraged if such a white supremacist group had been calling for the "death penalty" for white Americans who disagreed with their supremacist views? Wouldn't we be demanding legal and law enforcement action to end such a conspiracy to violate others' civil rights through intimidation?
At what point are open and public death threats (in writing no less) by supremacist groups to specific identity groups recognized by our government and law enforcement as nothing less than conspiracies to violate protected American civil rights? At what point is the use of public facilities to call for the "death" of identity groups recognized as a hate crime?
In America and around the world, we have seen the consequences of failing to take action against supremacist groups inciting hatred against others with death threats. Hizb ut-Tahrir and similar supremacist groups' calls for "death" against others is considered a call to action for those who share this philosophy of hate. Just last month, on November 2, in Arizona, a 20 year old girl Noor Almaleki died from an attack by her father for not adhering to what his family told the Arizona Republic were "Muslim values." We are certain that the majority of Muslim Americans would reject such supremacist views, but we have also seen similar killings in Ohio, Indianapolis, Texas, and Georgia. Who is next to die as a result because of such supremacist hate?
Death threats by supremacist organizations have very real, very deadly consequences. It is past time for Illinois and the federal government to act on the conspiracy by Hizb ut-Tahrir America to deny Americans' freedom of religion, by its publicly calling for the death of those who seek such freedoms. It is not only an outrage; it is also a growing conspiracy to use intimidation tactics of death threats to violate our rights as American citizens.

In the Chicago suburbs on December 20, 2009, a group that has conspired to deny Americans their Constitutional and civil rights will be using a government-managed facility to recruit new members to their supremacist cause. A new video released by the Christian Action Network shows Muslim women at a compound in New York state practicing throat-slitting techniques and assault weapons attacks.
The video was distributed by the makers of the movie "Homegrown Jihad: The Terrorist Camps Around the U.S.," which documents how a jihadist group has developed dozens of training camps across the nation.
WND reported at the time how Jamaat ul-Fuqra has built 35 compounds – mostly in the northeastern corridor of the U.S.
Now the organization has posted on YouTube a "chilling" training video provided to CAN by an unnamed law enforcement source about the Muslims of America headquarters in Hancock, New York.
Muslims of America reportedly is the name Jamaat ul-Fuqra, believed to have been involved in the beheading of reporter Daniel Pearl, uses in the U.S.
The video includes segments of training exercises in which one person appears to practice a maneuver that would slit the throat of a victim. There are episodes of what appears to be automatic weapons fire at a target and incidents in which a handgun is held point-blank at a "victim's" head:
The video shows women marching in military formation, scaling walls, engaging in hand-to-hand combat and also reveals a Muslim confirming that the organization's own census revealed that Muslims are a majority in the United States and they are claiming it as their own.
The speaker states, "We are 100 percent sure that Muslims are the majority in America."
He continues, "Our Islamic political party has based its manifesto on this fact. We want to declare once and for all that America is our country."
According to CAN, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in 2005 warned about Jamaat ul-Fuqra, a Pakistani-based organization that "had the capacity to attack" America.
The U.S. State Department's 1998 "Patterns of Global Terrorism" report notes the organization "seeks to purify Islam through violence."
The report continued, "Members have purchased isolated rural compounds in North America to live communally, practice their faith and insulate themselves from Western culture. Fuqra members have attacked a variety of targets that they view as enemies of Islam."
CAN, led by Martin Mawyer, has researched Muslims of America for years and has provided its video to the FBI, State Department and Homeland Security.
To date, there has been no response from the government, the group said.
Mawyer told WND the political correctness America has adopted ultimately will be costly.
The hands of law enforcement and investigators are tied at this point, he said, because members of the organization are part of "a minority religion," "they are African-American" "and in this particular case, are women."
"Gilani has stated he is preparing his members to the Soldiers of Allah, and he's set up the most advanced guerrilla warfare training camps," he said. "He's being true to his word.
"If the evidence is right in front of our face and we have the words from the leader," Mawyer said. "I don't know how we continue to close our eyes and be blinded by such obvious affront to American values, the Constitution and our way of life."
The organization's "Homegrown Jihad" video includes a chilling scene of Jamaat ul-Fuqra's leader Sheikh Mubarak Gilani telling followers to "act like you're his friend. Then kill him."
According to the Religion of Peace website, there have been more than 250 jihad attacks by Muslims around the globe – including two inside the U.S. – in just the last two months.
The death toll from the attacks has surpassed 1,400, the report says.

Indiana Second Graders Sing About Allah
Second Graders Told to Sing “Allah is God”
What would happen if public school second graders were told to sing a Christmas song that proclaimed “Jesus is Lord?”
Or what would happen if those same students were told to sing “We pray ‘til night to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob?”
The fact is, we don’t have to speculate, because neither of those things is likely to happen in any public school in America.
So how is it that a public elementary school principal and some teachers saw nothing objectionable with their students singing “Allah is God?”
Their answer—they were just trying to teach “inclusiveness.” See the Fox News Radio story below (highlights added).
And when a Christian parent objected, a spokesman for the Muslim Alliance of Indiana called the objection “Islamophobic.”
So simply objecting to a song in a public school that proclaims “Allah is God,” when no other faiths are so recognized, is “Islamophobic?”
Wow.
We have reached the point where a non-Muslim parent is called an “Islamophobe” for simply and rightfully objecting to his child being forced to sing a song in public school that proclaims “Allah is God.”
Please don’t let anyone tell you we’re over-reacting to the threat of political correctness and the advance of radical Islam.

A battle over religion is brewing in central Indiana after a public school wanted second graders to sing a song declaring, “Allah is God.” The phrase was removed just before the performance after a national conservative group launched a protest.
The principal of Lantern Road Elementary School in Fishers, IN, said they were trying to teach inclusiveness through their holiday production. It included references to Christmas, Hanukkah, Ramadan, Las Posadas and Kwanzaa. However, no other deity, other than Allah, was referenced in the show.
“It went off…without a hitch,” Danielle Thompson told the Indianapolis Star. “Several families thought it was a nice program.”
But others did not – especially David Hogan. His daughter came home with a copy of the lyrics just days before the production. Hogan, a Christian, told the American Family Association, a conservative advocacy group, that he was deeply concerned to learn that his daughter had been singing, “Allah is God.”
Here’s what the children were assigned to sing:
“Allah is God, we recall at dawn,
Praying ‘til night during Ramadan
At this joyful time we pray happiness for you,
Allah be with you all your life through.”
But when it came time to perform the “Christian” part of Christmas, children were assigned to say:
“I didn’t know there was a little boy at the manger. What child is this?
I’m not sure if there was a little boy or not.
Then why did you paint one on your nativity window?
I just thought if there was a little boy, I’d like to know exactly what he (sic) say.”
Micah Clark, executive director of the Indiana AFA, launched an Internet protest once he heard about the allegations. “What surprised me here is that we’ve had a secular scrubbing of Christmas for so long and the school apparently didn’t see the problem with kids singing to Allah,” he told FOX News Radio. “You won’t even mention Jesus and you’re going to force my child to sing about Allah?”
In email correspondence the school initially defended the reference as a way to be inclusive of all religions. However, once complaints starting rolling in, school leaders decided to eliminate the Allah reference.
That drew the ire of the Muslim Alliance of Indiana. “It’s unfortunate if that was removed from the program just because of Islamophobic feelings,” Shariq Siddiqui told the Indianapolis Star. “Schools are a place where we should learn more about each other rather than exclude each other based on stereotypes and misconceptions.”
But Clark said having children bow and pray is problematic for non-Muslim families. “(This show) affirmed Islam and negated Christianity. I wouldn’t have had a problem if it had been equal to all faiths.”
At least one Christian family approved of the Allah reference. “I’m a Christian and I was in no way offended by the program at Lantern Road,” said Judy Grasso to The Star.

Taitz demands Holder commence Quo Warranto against Obama

(Dec. 14, 2009) — Without a doubt the most important and significant legal action in the United States this week, is Dr. Orly Taitz’s Letter to Eric Holder, sent today, demanding that he institute Quo Warranto proceedings against Barack Hussein Obama in the District Court of Washington, D.C..
The importance of this letter is the fact that the quo warranto provisions of the District of Columbia Code provide that a 3rd party may institute a quo warranto action if the U.S. Attorney General fails to respond within 3 months to his request.
Dr. Orly Taitz wrote Holder on March 1st. In her letter, published today at her website, she demands that either he take action himself, or that her plaintiffs be granted ex-relator status to proceed in the name of the United States of America, as the D.C. code allows.
Quo warranto is a legal action whereby a plaintiff formally demands proof that the holder of an office, holds it lawfully, and if he does not, is empowered by the court to remove him from it. The Code of the Disctrict of Columbia contains provisions for quo warranto, in such cases as the usurpation of any federal office exercised within the district. Quo warranto can be used against Barack Hussein Obama because he is not a natural born citizen, and thus does not enjoy the Constitutional immunities of that office.
Dr. Taitz’s letter reads in full:
Dear Mr. Holder,
On March 1st on behalf of my clients I have submitted to you a request to file Quo Warranto against Mr. Barack Hussein Obama. The request was filed due to following troubling facts:
1. According to a number of licensed investigators National Databases show Mr. Obama using as many as 39 different Social Security numbers, which included the numbers of deceased individuals and numbers never assigned.
2. Number 042-68-4425 that Mr. Obama used for most of his life and is currently using while residing in the White House, is a number assigned to an individual born in 1890, who resided in the state of Connecticut and this Social Security number was issued in the state of Connecticut where Mr. Obama never resided.
3. One of the leading forensic experts in the country Ms. Sandra Ramsey Lines has prepared an affidavit, stating that Mr. Obama’s short version Certification of Life Birth cannot be treated as genuine without seeing the original on file in the Health Department in HI.
4. The state of Hawaii since 1911 had in its statutes a provision allowing Foreign born children of Hawaiian residents of get Hawaiian Birth Certificates(currently statute 338-17) and currently statute 338-5 allows one to get a birth certificate based on a statement of one relative only without any corroborating evidence from the hospital.
5. In spite of over 100 law suits filed around the country and 12 Citizen Grand Jury indictments Mr. Obama refused to sign a consent to unseal his original birth certificate currently sealed in the Health Department of the state of Hawaii and all the other vital records.
6. Ms. Chiuomi Fukino, Director of the Health Department of the State of Hawaii has provided a statement that there is a document on file in Hawaii, however she refused to provide any information, as to what document is on file: whether it is a Birth Certificate given to a foreign born child of Hawaiian resident, whether it is an amended Birth certificate, obtained when Mr. Obama was adopted by his Indonesian stepfather. She refused to answer any questions as to whether his birth certificate was obtained based on a proper hospital birth certificate or based on a statement of one of his relatives only, which needs to be corroborated.
7. Regardless of place of birth of Mr. Obama, since birth and until now Mr. Obama had a split allegiance. He had British citizenship at birth, Kenyan since age 2 and Indonesian since age 5. Allegiance to other Nations goes as a clear violation of the Natural citizenship clause of the article 2 section 1 of the Constitution.
8. Under the Freedom of Information act 5 US 552, since no response was provided to numerous certified mail letters received by your office nine months ago, I demand a written response or Administrative hearing on the matter within 30 days. On behalf of my clients I demand an answer, as to when the Quo Warranto against Mr. Obama will be filed by the US Attorney General office, or in the alternative if the Attorney General office refuses to file Quo Warranto, I demand an ex-relator status for my clients to proceed with the Quo Warranto action against Mr. Obama in the DC court or the Supreme Court of the United States.

The importance of this letter is the fact that the quo warranto provisions of the District of Columbia Code provide that a 3rd party may institute a quo warranto action if the U.S. Attorney General fails to respond within 3 months to his request.
Dr. Orly Taitz wrote Holder on March 1st. In her letter, published today at her website, she demands that either he take action himself, or that her plaintiffs be granted ex-relator status to proceed in the name of the United States of America, as the D.C. code allows.
Quo warranto is a legal action whereby a plaintiff formally demands proof that the holder of an office, holds it lawfully, and if he does not, is empowered by the court to remove him from it. The Code of the Disctrict of Columbia contains provisions for quo warranto, in such cases as the usurpation of any federal office exercised within the district. Quo warranto can be used against Barack Hussein Obama because he is not a natural born citizen, and thus does not enjoy the Constitutional immunities of that office.
Dr. Taitz’s letter reads in full:
Dear Mr. Holder,
On March 1st on behalf of my clients I have submitted to you a request to file Quo Warranto against Mr. Barack Hussein Obama. The request was filed due to following troubling facts:
1. According to a number of licensed investigators National Databases show Mr. Obama using as many as 39 different Social Security numbers, which included the numbers of deceased individuals and numbers never assigned.
2. Number 042-68-4425 that Mr. Obama used for most of his life and is currently using while residing in the White House, is a number assigned to an individual born in 1890, who resided in the state of Connecticut and this Social Security number was issued in the state of Connecticut where Mr. Obama never resided.
3. One of the leading forensic experts in the country Ms. Sandra Ramsey Lines has prepared an affidavit, stating that Mr. Obama’s short version Certification of Life Birth cannot be treated as genuine without seeing the original on file in the Health Department in HI.
4. The state of Hawaii since 1911 had in its statutes a provision allowing Foreign born children of Hawaiian residents of get Hawaiian Birth Certificates(currently statute 338-17) and currently statute 338-5 allows one to get a birth certificate based on a statement of one relative only without any corroborating evidence from the hospital.
5. In spite of over 100 law suits filed around the country and 12 Citizen Grand Jury indictments Mr. Obama refused to sign a consent to unseal his original birth certificate currently sealed in the Health Department of the state of Hawaii and all the other vital records.
6. Ms. Chiuomi Fukino, Director of the Health Department of the State of Hawaii has provided a statement that there is a document on file in Hawaii, however she refused to provide any information, as to what document is on file: whether it is a Birth Certificate given to a foreign born child of Hawaiian resident, whether it is an amended Birth certificate, obtained when Mr. Obama was adopted by his Indonesian stepfather. She refused to answer any questions as to whether his birth certificate was obtained based on a proper hospital birth certificate or based on a statement of one of his relatives only, which needs to be corroborated.
7. Regardless of place of birth of Mr. Obama, since birth and until now Mr. Obama had a split allegiance. He had British citizenship at birth, Kenyan since age 2 and Indonesian since age 5. Allegiance to other Nations goes as a clear violation of the Natural citizenship clause of the article 2 section 1 of the Constitution.
8. Under the Freedom of Information act 5 US 552, since no response was provided to numerous certified mail letters received by your office nine months ago, I demand a written response or Administrative hearing on the matter within 30 days. On behalf of my clients I demand an answer, as to when the Quo Warranto against Mr. Obama will be filed by the US Attorney General office, or in the alternative if the Attorney General office refuses to file Quo Warranto, I demand an ex-relator status for my clients to proceed with the Quo Warranto action against Mr. Obama in the DC court or the Supreme Court of the United States.

Let's Promote Global Warming
Since global warming is rapidly being disproved, and Al Gore along with his science pals may be on their way to prison for fraud, we here in the northern climes have decided that maybe it would be to our benefit to actually warm things up a bit. After all, warmer temperatures would increase the growing season and make property values rise. That's a huge benefit, right?
While Al and friends would have us fear global warming as being a precursor to the death of us all, a more realistic view would be to examine the health and welfare benefits of it. While only Al and friends would profit from the fear of a warmer globe, all the rest of us would profit from actual global warming.
Here's how Al plans to profit from the global warming scam. He sets up a corporation which sells "Carbon Credits" or "Carbon Offsets". If you are a big company with a big "Carbon Footprint" then you can pay Al to offset your big footprint by transferring some amount of your emissions to a company that has a small amount of emissions. In other words he takes your money and makes a note on a file in his computer. Nothing changes, except Al gets richer.
Here's a better idea. Send me $1,000 and I will plant a couple trees in your name. At least a tree or two will be out there working to clean up the air.
Have you heard that the US Government has actually (I am not kidding) designated CO2 as a poison gas! Yes, CO2 is the stuff you breathe out, the stuff trees absorb and convert to Oxygen, which is the stuff we breathe in. CO2 is necessary for plant growth, but the wizards in Washington have decided it will kill you, eventually. So, to summarize, eliminating CO2 would kill the plants, which in turn would kill us.
Another crack-pot scare du jour is that melting ice caps will drown us all. Really! Most of the ice at the polar caps is floating. Ice which is floating will not raise the water level when melted. Otherwise your iced tea would run over. The ice that is not floating amounts to less than 1/10th of 1 percent of the water on the planet. If it all melted we might see a rise of an inch or two. We routinely see much more flooding from rain than melting ice caps could ever produce. Maybe Al and Pals should find a way to make it stop raining!
So, bring on the global warming! Turn Anchorage into a tropical paradise and watch the economy grow to historic proportions!

Radical Movement's Leader Forecasts America's Demise

As the spotlight moves away from the Fort Hood massacre, one of America's most openly radical Islamist organizations has taken to the murderer's defense. As-Sabiqun, a Washington D.C.-based organization with branches in four other major American cities, released a flyer labeling shooter Nidal Malik Hasan as "victimized" and the "target of psychological warfare." The handout also defended convicted terrorists and suspects.
As-Sabiqun has repeatedly predicted the demise of the United States and dreams of "the Islamic State of North America no later than 2050." It has openly declared support for terrorist organizations like Hamas and Hizbullah, and even claimed it funded anti-American militants. With concerns growing over radical Islamist propaganda in the United States, As-Sabiqun is one of the leading organizations building a bridge between international Islamism and its developing American counterpart.
As-Sabiqun is headquartered in Washington D.C., but has branches in Oakland, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, and Philadelphia. Its leader, Imam Abdul Alim Musa, is well-known in Islamist circles for spreading anti-American propaganda and militancy. Last weekend, Musa addressed the annual conference of the Muslim Students Association – Persian Speaking group, a Shia branch of the national Muslim Students Association primarily for Shia Muslims. There, Musa saluted the Iranian Revolution as the "greatest epic in modern, even ancient history" and urged the students to have patience as the United States collapsed:
"Well I'm telling you, it's very simple. I think you got the message now. We're in a big war brothers and sisters. This is as big as it gets for the United States. We are just like it is during the 60s and 70s. So if you're gonna be Muslim, buckle down and be a tough one because in the final analysis the U.S. is finished."
Musa was applauded following his conclusion, in which he honored the survival of the Iranian Revolution and its student supporters in the United States:
"Your survival has made you stronger and better and better in management and organization than anybody else, just by your survival. Remember, a revolutionary do [sic] not have to win any war. They only have to survive, even if you lose 90 percent of your people. You have to understand revolutionary warfare. If you lose 90 percent of your wealth and people and you still moving around and mobile, you can come back. That's the rules of revolutionary warfare – to survive. I'm trying to tell you – the war is already won. [Musa laughs.] They just have to fall over."
This is not the first time this year that Musa has preached hate and militancy to an American Muslim student organization. In a February 19th speech to the MSA at Berkeley, Musa explained how he funneled money to African jihadists with the intention of conquering the United States:
"So we have seen movements, because although we was in (UI word) in the first stage, and the next stage we were using criminal wealth to help our brothers, you know our brothers in Algeria and in Africa, they had fought the United States government, they was in exile. They knew about a revolution, but they didn't know nothing about money. Well, since I was a criminal, I knew all about making money. So all the criminal money that I made I would take it to the brothers and say – OK, you guys, buy me some weapons, you'll go back, we'll take over the United States. That was the dream that we had. You got to dream big. Ain't no sense in dreaming small, right? Live your dreams."
Musa has traveled abroad to support Islamist movements worldwide. The As-Sabiqun website indicates that Musa traveled abroad several times to Iran. During a 1996 conference in South Africa, he stated:
"And this religion Islam will dominate all other religions whether the Americans, whether the British, whether the French, whether the Russians, whether the Japanese, whether all of them get together in one solid group to fight Islam. It don't make no difference. In the final analysis, Allah (swt) said that his religion—Islam—will rise to the forefront, will be elevated to the role of leadership in this world, whether they all like it or not."
That same year, Musa called for an Islamic state in London during a conference there that featured a wide assortment of radicals, including representatives of FIS [Islamic Salvation Front], Hizbullah and Hamas.
As-Sabiqun's website describes how, "During a rally in July 1999, Imam Musa displayed a cashier's check made out to 'Hamas, Palestine,' to protest the 1996 U.S. law which declared Hamas a terrorist organization." On a February 18 2007 broadcast of Fox News, Musa stated, "I know Hamas. They are nice people. Very nice people." Musa has repeatedly cheered Hizbullah's "victory" over Israel and has saluted suicide bombers, saying:
"When they go out and strike at the heart of Zionism. They are not suicide bombers they are heroes they are she-roes, isn't that right? That's a part of our deen, that's a part of our religion, let's not become weak boned and apologetic..."
Musa has also fueled the flames of international hatred against the United States. In an appearance last month on Iran's government-controlled Press TV, Musa pitted America against Islam:
"Islamophobia to us right now, coming out of 9-1-1 (9/11), is something that the [American] government and the Israelis did in the U.S. to justify a global attack on Islam … the perception management now by the media, gives the media and gives the military justification to invade our countries, to stop us in airports, to exclude us from society."
The extremism expressed by As-Sabiqun and Musa might easily be passed off as the bizarre ranting of a radical cleric and his hateful organization. However, as the Fort Hood massacre, the FBI shooting of Luqman Abdullah and other recent investigations show, fiery rhetoric can lead to violent plotting. The lesson of Fort Hood is not to ignore open self-radicalization, but to heed those who openly preach our destruction from within.

Greed
Credit Lender Greed And How To Deal With It
Consider that we have all become credit slaves. 70% in America have at least one credit card and it starts, sometimes, in grade school. The average card holder has 3 cards and $10,000 credit card debt.
Credit cards are the drug of choice for all of us. We have been convinced we cannot live the American Dream without it. Just as with drugs from the street dealer, the first little taste is usually free. We are offered 0% interest for a period of time and no annual fee.
My credit score was 780. Not bad! Then I discovered I needed new tires which cost about $800. I whipped out the old Chase card only to discover it had been closed, and declined. Since the tires were already installed, I was forced to take advantage of the tire store's instant credit offer of only 24.9%. Chase had not bothered to inform me that my card had been cancelled 3 weeks prior.
This started 2 chain reactions. Applying for the new credit lowered my score. The loss of the Chase credit line caused a further decline in my score. Next came a series of credit line reductions and credit rate increases caused by these 2 events. All this together lowered my credit score by over 100 points, allowing lenders to further increase my rates and lower my limits.
I suppose everyone is now seeing that the bailout of lenders, using consumer's tax dollars, has only served to increase the greed of the lenders. Bear in mind that the crisis requiring bailout was caused by lender greed in the first place.
So, a new chain reaction is in progress and this time it is the other way round. People are beginning to see that using credit for purchases is not so smart after all. Black Friday posted lower sales than a year ago, and many consumers (myself included) are paying off their cards in record numbers. Christmas sales are on track to post record lows. Why should we subsidize these greed-pigs with our tax dollars only to be taken advantage of yet again by increased lending rates?
Two of my lenders offered free credit scores monthly up until recently. That was a deciding factor in applying to them in the first place. One of them just said, up front, sorry, there will be no more free credit scores. The other stalled and delayed and lied about it, saying the service was temporarily suspended until such a times as they could 'improve the service'. What a laugh.
So this is what will happen. We will use less credit over time and they will suffer loss of business. At some point they will wake up to realize that less service and poorer service gets less business and therefore lower profits. But, by the time they wake up and try to win us back it will be too little, too late.
I eagerly await that day.
Remember, it is in the credit industry's best interest to keep your credit score low, and any excuse they can find will be used against you. If you have a problem with shady activities by your lender don't bother complaining to them or to the credit bureaus. Instead go straight to the Comptroller of the Currency, document your complaint and submit it. I guarantee best results here: http://www.occ.treas.gov/

Goodbye 42
GOODBYE 42
[One of my daughters living in a settlement north of Jerusalem called yesterday morning. She was weeping and only with difficulty was able to make me understand what had happened.
When the judenrat announced the “ten-month temporary settlement building ban” it stipulated that the ban, which goes into effect December 1st (yesterday) does not apply to dwellings whose foundation has been completed. A neighbor, who had struggled for years to get the myriad requisite building permits – army, police, local council, Housing Ministry, to name just a few – began working on the foundation Saturday night. At great expense crews worked round the clock, finishing in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The neighbor, relieved but exhausted, was ready for an extended sleep.
At 8am two Housing Ministry inspectors appeared, accompanied by soldiers and police. After a show of examining the foundation, they made a triumphant announcement: Because parts of the foundation were still damp it could not be considered complete. All permits were revoked, and if any further work were done the owner would be arrested and prosecuted for violating a judenrat order.
What horrified my daughter, even more than seeing her neighbor crumple to the ground, was the happy laughter of the soldiers and police.
Media reports focus on demonstrations, violent confrontations, etc. Rarely, as in Gush Katif, are the personal tragedies reported.]
[Some of you have criticized me for “going off the path”, meaning that my belief in the Creator is somehow lacking or incomplete. My connection with the Creator is as unshakeable as that of anyone else. The things I have gone through have raised my connection beyond the level of belief to that of direct knowledge.
Where I have “gone off the path” is that I do not accept that we are in the Beginning of the Redemption as most of my believing fellow Jews are convinced, nor is The End of Days almost upon us as my believing Christian friends aver. People cannot live without hope for a better future, an end to suffering, the triumph of good over evil. Nothing would make me happier than to have my perpetual gloom proven wrong. I am cursed by an inability to convince myself that these believers, whom I revere, are right.
For the Almighty past/present/future are one. Every action and its result is simultaneous. The Eleventh of Maimonides’ Articles of Faith is “I wholly believe that the Lord rewards those who follow His dictates and punishes those who violate them”.
For humans, the shortness of our life span is only matched by the inadequacy of our intelligence. To say the Eleventh Article of Faith, when our limited experience indicates the opposite is true, is a leap of faith I find difficult to make. From His perspective, no problem. From mine…

[Much has been written about the cost of freeing Gilad Schalit. If I, G-d forbid, had a child in captivity I would do just what Noam Schalit has been doing to get his son released.
Those who argue against the deal – though many details are still unknown, we do know that at least 980 terrorists will be released – generally focus on the effect on the families of murdered Israelis seeing the murderers roam free.
I see a more serious problem. Every time Israel trades masses of imprisoned terrorists for the bodies of dead soldiers or a few captive soldiers, the result is wholesale slaughter of Israelis. So much has happened – so much seems to have happened – that it is difficult to know where to begin.
Dramatis Personae:
Chaleria, of course. My favorite. Candidate for Homeliest Female. No friends that I have ever seen. Colors, shades of black. Could be poster child for Help Stamp Out Feline Leprosy.
Muffy-the-Slut. After a long absence she is back. Perhaps the economic downturn caused her to be [if you’ll pardon the expression] laid-off from her job at the cathouse. She is now wizened, smaller than any of her children and grandchildren, yet she retains a regal snarl that keeps her offspring at a distance.
The Impregnator. Large, mean-looking, huge thick tail. Rachel thinks he is the original Paramour. I am convinced he is the product of Muffy’s first litter. Lawns around here are filled with his offspring. The very sight of him gives me apoplexy. Probably because I am jealous.
Shitsi, daughter of Muffy, also known as Shitsi The Whining Terror. I think I’ve already written about how we opened our door early one morning to see Shitsi smirking at us, five furballs at her feet. Rachel was charmed. I was appalled. Another five to feed. Three were red like their mother. Two were brown.
Three days later they were gone, and Shitsi whined non-stop. Rachel was near tears. I could scarcely hide my delight, though it was tempered by guilt over the grieving mother.
Two days passed, and suddenly they reappeared. In the weeks that followed they developed rapidly. Two disappeared again – gone to Catmandu? – leaving two reds, Slummy and Crummy, and one brown, Dummy. The sole pleasure I get is watching them sleep curled into each other.
This leaves three of Muffy’s from an earlier litter. Two are so nondescript I haven’t named them. The third is One-Eyed Jacqueline, for whom I feel a smidgen of sympathy as a fellow disabled creature.
These ten are the regulars. Others appear and disappear.
Poop. Sorry. You know that just as you may be a member of the bourgeoisie I am a member of the poopeoisie.
We long suffered from dog poop on the lawn, until a solution was found. Lots of bottles of water. The bottles act as a funhouse mirror, both reflecting and enlarging the image. Dogs, being stupid, think another larger animal is staring back at them. From the day the bottles were put out there has been no dog poop. An added benefit is that the bottles are a curiosity and visitors invariably ask about them. And I invariably reply that they are part of a satanic ritual that I am forbidden to discuss.
Suddenly piles of poop appeared. Very small piles, doubtless made by a very small dog. I did everything short of closed circuit television to catch the poop perp in the act. Til I saw with my very own peepers that the poopers are my cats. The ground is hard, they go through the motions of digging a hole, poop, then go through the motions of covering it up. But not to worry. Slugs cover the poop with thick, shiny layers of slime. There are times when the slime, covering large swaths of lawn, catches the sun and glows like a giant conflagration. Very impressive. Too bad I can’t enjoy it.
Equally annoying, and more costly, when the pooping pussies can’t be bothered scratching the lawn they climb on the planters and tear up the soft earth. Flower plants are destroyed and have to be replaced.
Cost. One 3 kilogram bag of cat food, costing the shekel equivalent of $13, used to last a month. One 3 kilogram bag of cat food now barely lasts a week. No problem for me. I would just give the meowing moochers less. But Rachel, aka Lady Bountiful, insists they be fed to bursting. True, they don’t kvetch while eating, but the moment they are done…
Rachel is inherently more sympathetic to them than me. But there was one instance which left her screaming “Kill them already!” which I take perverse pleasure in relating. We put up our Succah in the spot that is the cats’ regular hangout. Naturally they were all over tables and chairs, dirtying tablecloths, destroying place settings, etc.
She would yell “get out of my succah” and they would snarl back “you get out of our playground”. [Did you know that I understand ketzelsprach?] We could keep them out when we were physically present, but we couldn’t be there 24/7. And when food was on the table even our physical presence didn’t hold them back. A very stressful succot.
Turkey Neck Bones. Someone – not the Holy Man who used to hurl bread at our lawn – has been putting turkey neck bones outside our door. I have my suspicions, but no proof as yet. And as the person I suspect is a true ditz, I have to carefully work out a plan for getting her to cease and desist.
Falling. My balance, at best, is shaky. [Yes, you have always known I’m unbalanced.] The playful pussies are in the habit of darting before and aft when I walk, and even darting between my legs. Even when I swing at them with a stick, they think I’m being playful. When I forget myself, and give in to the impulse to kick them through the goalposts of my mind, I fall. So far, just scrapes and bruises. Can broken bones be far behind?
Embarrassments.
You know that I have long been looking for a solution – not the Final Solution – to the cat problem. We feel we are under siege, and helpless.
I asked a friend working in our garden if there was something I could put in their water to put them to sleep. No sooner were the words out of my mouth when I realized ‘put them to sleep’ is a euphemism for killing them. Before I could explain that I literally wanted them to sleep so I could put them in a bag and dump them far away, my friend gave me an embarrassed look and asked “are you and Rachel having problems?”
I asked my doctor about a sleeping powder for the cats, hastening to explain my purpose. He gave me his serious look: “It’s not unusual for people in pain or under stress to contemplate suicide”, and before I could protest, “You know our Health Plan covers consultations with a psychiatrist”.

[One of my daughters living in a settlement north of Jerusalem called yesterday morning. She was weeping and only with difficulty was able to make me understand what had happened.
When the judenrat announced the “ten-month temporary settlement building ban” it stipulated that the ban, which goes into effect December 1st (yesterday) does not apply to dwellings whose foundation has been completed. A neighbor, who had struggled for years to get the myriad requisite building permits – army, police, local council, Housing Ministry, to name just a few – began working on the foundation Saturday night. At great expense crews worked round the clock, finishing in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The neighbor, relieved but exhausted, was ready for an extended sleep.
At 8am two Housing Ministry inspectors appeared, accompanied by soldiers and police. After a show of examining the foundation, they made a triumphant announcement: Because parts of the foundation were still damp it could not be considered complete. All permits were revoked, and if any further work were done the owner would be arrested and prosecuted for violating a judenrat order.
What horrified my daughter, even more than seeing her neighbor crumple to the ground, was the happy laughter of the soldiers and police.

Hijacking Dry Run?
E-mail stirs fears of hijacking 'dry run'
Airline response leaves questions unanswered

An airline is fending off charges fueled by a widely circulated e-mail that an incident on a flight from Atlanta to Houston, reported by news media as minor, actually bore the marks of a "dry run" by Muslim terrorists.
The e-mail account of a purported passenger on AirTran Flight 297 on Nov. 17, bolstered by a separate investigation by Northeast Intelligence Network, contends that about a dozen Muslim men in "full attire" who were spread throughout the jet as it taxied to the runway caused a disturbance prompting pilots to return to the gate and bring law enforcement officers onboard.
The airline, at its InsideAirTran website, denied many of the claims made in the e-mail, which purportedly was written by a passenger, Tedd Petruna of Houston, and circulated by a friend, A. Gene Hackemack. Neither Petruna nor Hackemack responded immediately to WND requests for comment.
After first rebutting Petruna's written account point by point, AirTran later posted on its site a denial that the e-mailer was even on the flight, writing: "After conducting additional research into this situation, we have verified, according to flight manifests (legally binding documents) that the individual that allegedly created a first-hand account of events on-board AirTran Airways flight 297, a Theodore Petruna, was never actually on-board the flight."
Yet questions remain, such as why was the flight crew was changed after a supposedly minor disturbance and why several passengers were so distraught that they refused to continue on to their destination after the men involved were allowed to reboard the airplane.
Now, KHOU in Houston reports the Federal Aviation Administration has begun investigating.
Douglas J. Hagmann, director of the Northeast Intelligence Network, said a passenger on the flight contacted him two days after the incident. Hagmann published a report of his group's investigation, which concluded that the media, the airline and government agencies have not reported the truth.
"The reasons, I have been told, is fear of predatory lawsuits, negative publicity from accusations of religious profiling, and the obligatory subjugation to mindless mandatory Muslim sensitivity training that make a mockery of our American system of values," Hagmann writes.
He said an airline official told him "we don't want to become another flight 300," referring to a similar scenario on a US Airways flight three years ago.
"Be prepared to be shocked, angered, and perhaps saddened by our national and corporate acquiescence to mafia-type tactics by Islamists who are engaged in a full frontal assault, and laughing about it," he writes in the opening lines of his report.
WND attempted to contact Petruna via e-mail but received an automated response explaining he "almost got fired from his job" over his report of the incident and has received thousands of e-mails.
According to the circulated e-mail, Petruna was aboard the flight in first class seating when the Muslims boarded, two of whom remained in first class while others moved throughout the plane.
"As the plane taxied to the runway the stewardesses gave the safety spiel we are all so familiar with," he wrote. "At that time, one of the men got on his cell and called one of his companions in the back and proceeded to talk on the phone in Arabic very loudly and very aggressively. This took the first stewardess out of the picture for she repeatedly told the man that cell phones were not permitted at the time. He ignored her as if she was not there.
"The second man who answered the phone did the same and this took out the second stewardess," he continued.
AirTran insisted there were no reports of passengers making telephone calls at that point.
The e-mail report stated two Muslims then started watching a video, an incident confirmed by the airline.
"The third stewardess informed them that they were not to have electronic devices on at this time," Petruna wrote. "To which one of the men said 'shut up infidel dog!' She went to take the camcorder and he began to scream in her face in Arabic. At that exact moment, all 11 of them got up and started to walk the cabin."
AirTran denied there was any shouting.
Petruna reported he went to the back of the plane and told the man who had been on the phone and was walking around, "You WILL go sit down."
At that point, the e-mail explains the jet returned to the gate and law enforcement officers came onboard. AirTran said officers only arrived at the gate and did not board the craft.
The party was escorted off the airplane and their luggage unloaded, the e-mail reported.
"We talked about the occurrence and were in disbelief that it had happen[ed], when suddenly, the door open[ed] again and on walked all 11!! Stone faced, eyes front and robotic (the only way I can describe it). The stewardess from the back had been in tears and when she saw this, she was having NONE of it! Being that I was up front, I heard and saw the whole ordeal. She told the TSA agent there was NO WAY she was staying on the plane with these men. The agent told her they had searched them and were going to go through their luggage with a fine tooth comb and that they were allowed to proceed to Houston. The captain and co-captain came out and told the agent 'we and our crew will not fly this plane!' After a word or two, the entire crew, luggage in tow, left the plane. Five minutes later, the cabin door opened again and a whole new crew walked on," the report said.
AirTran's report confirmed, "The entire party complied fully with crew members' instructions to exit the aircraft in order to ascertain the situation. Their bags were not removed at any time."
Petruna said he then had had enough, insisting on leaving the plane.
"If this wasn't a dry run, I don't know what one is. The terrorists wanted to see how TSA would handle it, how the crew would handle it, and how the passengers would handle it," he wrote. "I’m telling this to you because I want you to know… The threat is real. I saw it with my own eyes."
The airline's explanation said it was no more than a minor disturbance.
"During taxi a passenger was non-compliant with crew members, using a cell phone and taking pictures. The flight taxied back to the gate and the passenger, who did not speak English, and his companion acting as his interpreter were asked to de-plane. They were met by customer service personnel and TSA," the airline said.
"We bring this to your attention in order to dispel myths that are beginning to make the rounds in chat rooms, blogs and conspiracy theorists' Web sites," AirTran said.
But there was no explanation for why the original crew refused, after a passenger was noncompliant regarding the use of a cell phone, to continue the flight. Nor why a dozen other passengers were so distraught they left the airplane and were rebooked on later flights.
AirTran officials also did not respond to WND calls requesting additional explanation.
'Flight attendants were sobbing'
KHOU reported that another passenger, Chaplain Keith Robinson, actually missed the original departure but got on after the airplane returned to the gate.
"Flight attendants were sobbing openly," Robinson told the station.
He had been warned by a passenger getting off not to board.
"He said, 'I just saw them, there were these Middle Eastern men. They were taking pictures. They wouldn't sit down,'" Robinson said. "Besides that, he said a couple of them were making gestures with their hand as if they were shooting people."
The disputed accounts of the incident are similar to the case of the "flying imams" in 2006.
The six Muslim clerics were booted from a US Airways Minneapolis-to-Phoenix flight after alarming both passengers and crew with their behavior. Many on board feared the imams – who prayed loudly in Arabic, refused to sit in their assigned seats, fanned out in the cabin in pairs to occupy the front, middle and rear exit rows, ordered seat-belt extenders they didn't need, criticized the Iraq war and President Bush, talked about al-Qaida and Osama bin Laden and other disconcerting behaviors – were testing security procedures in a dry run for a future hijacking.
The imams, who insisted they were acting innocently, were detained for several hours and questioned by airport police, the FBI and Secret Service, and prevented from booking a later flight on US Airways.
They sued the airline, and the case was settled.
Nihad Awad, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, called the settlement "a clear victory for justice and civil rights over fear and the phenomenon of 'flying while Muslim' in the post-9/11 era."
According to the judge, the imams had been subjected to "extreme fear and humiliation of being falsely identified as dangerous terrorists."
But as reported in "Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America," by former federal agent P. David Gaubatz and investigative journalist Paul Sperry, there's another, far more ominous and threatening side to the flying imam story – and CAIR's involvement with it – that had not been told.
"CAIR brags this is a 'victory for civil rights.' It's not a victory for civil rights," Sperry said after the settlement was announced. "It's a victory for future hijackers. This settlement will have a chilling effect on law enforcement and security at our nation's airports. Even pilots will now think twice about bouncing from flights any Arabs or Muslims acting suspiciously and threateningly."
"The victims in the case are not the imams," Sperry emphasized. "The victims are passengers who are now more vulnerable to terrorist attack – thanks to CAIR which according to documents revealed in 'Muslim Mafia' manipulated this whole case from the start," he said.
According to the hot-selling book, the ringleader of the flying imams, Omar Shahin, was involved in a similar disturbance aboard another airline several years earlier, as was CAIR.
"Rewind to 1999," says "Muslim Mafia." "That year, two Muslim college students were removed from an America West flight to Washington from Phoenix after twice attempting to open the cockpit. The FBI later suspected it was a 'dry run' for the 9/11 hijackings, according the 9/11 Commission Report."
"At the time, however, authorities didn't have enough suspicion to hold the students. And as soon as Hamdan al-Shalawi and Muhammed al-Qudhaieen were released, they filed racial profiling suits against America West, now part of US Airways."
Representing the two Muslim students was none other than CAIR, which held a news conference condemning "this ugly case of racial profiling" and urging Muslims to boycott America West.
"Muhammed and Hamdan had done absolutely nothing wrong," CAIR's Awad insisted. "Their crime was being Arab, speaking Arabic."
In a bizarre prequel to the flying imam event, the two Muslims aboard the America West flight spoke loudly in Arabic despite being fluent in English, also switched their seats and roamed the plane from the tail section to the cockpit as did the six imams, all the while asking suspicious questions about the plane and its routes.
"'Flying Imams' ringleader Omar Shahin is familiar with such shenanigans," reports "Muslim Mafia." "Witnesses say he prayed loudly in Arabic before boarding his US Airways flight – which also originated from Phoenix. And once on board, he asked for a seatbelt extender even though he didn't need one and never used the one provided him. (He and another imam left the extenders on the floor of the plane.) And he roamed the cabin and tried to switch seats with another imam."

An airline is fending off charges fueled by a widely circulated e-mail that an incident on a flight from Atlanta to Houston, reported by news media as minor, actually bore the marks of a "dry run" by Muslim terrorists.
The e-mail account of a purported passenger on AirTran Flight 297 on Nov. 17, bolstered by a separate investigation by Northeast Intelligence Network, contends that about a dozen Muslim men in "full attire" who were spread throughout the jet as it taxied to the runway caused a disturbance prompting pilots to return to the gate and bring law enforcement officers onboard.
The airline, at its InsideAirTran website, denied many of the claims made in the e-mail, which purportedly was written by a passenger, Tedd Petruna of Houston, and circulated by a friend, A. Gene Hackemack. Neither Petruna nor Hackemack responded immediately to WND requests for comment.
After first rebutting Petruna's written account point by point, AirTran later posted on its site a denial that the e-mailer was even on the flight, writing: "After conducting additional research into this situation, we have verified, according to flight manifests (legally binding documents) that the individual that allegedly created a first-hand account of events on-board AirTran Airways flight 297, a Theodore Petruna, was never actually on-board the flight."
Yet questions remain, such as why was the flight crew was changed after a supposedly minor disturbance and why several passengers were so distraught that they refused to continue on to their destination after the men involved were allowed to reboard the airplane.
Now, KHOU in Houston reports the Federal Aviation Administration has begun investigating.
Douglas J. Hagmann, director of the Northeast Intelligence Network, said a passenger on the flight contacted him two days after the incident. Hagmann published a report of his group's investigation, which concluded that the media, the airline and government agencies have not reported the truth.
"The reasons, I have been told, is fear of predatory lawsuits, negative publicity from accusations of religious profiling, and the obligatory subjugation to mindless mandatory Muslim sensitivity training that make a mockery of our American system of values," Hagmann writes.
He said an airline official told him "we don't want to become another flight 300," referring to a similar scenario on a US Airways flight three years ago.
"Be prepared to be shocked, angered, and perhaps saddened by our national and corporate acquiescence to mafia-type tactics by Islamists who are engaged in a full frontal assault, and laughing about it," he writes in the opening lines of his report.
WND attempted to contact Petruna via e-mail but received an automated response explaining he "almost got fired from his job" over his report of the incident and has received thousands of e-mails.
According to the circulated e-mail, Petruna was aboard the flight in first class seating when the Muslims boarded, two of whom remained in first class while others moved throughout the plane.
"As the plane taxied to the runway the stewardesses gave the safety spiel we are all so familiar with," he wrote. "At that time, one of the men got on his cell and called one of his companions in the back and proceeded to talk on the phone in Arabic very loudly and very aggressively. This took the first stewardess out of the picture for she repeatedly told the man that cell phones were not permitted at the time. He ignored her as if she was not there.
"The second man who answered the phone did the same and this took out the second stewardess," he continued.
AirTran insisted there were no reports of passengers making telephone calls at that point.
The e-mail report stated two Muslims then started watching a video, an incident confirmed by the airline.
"The third stewardess informed them that they were not to have electronic devices on at this time," Petruna wrote. "To which one of the men said 'shut up infidel dog!' She went to take the camcorder and he began to scream in her face in Arabic. At that exact moment, all 11 of them got up and started to walk the cabin."
AirTran denied there was any shouting.
Petruna reported he went to the back of the plane and told the man who had been on the phone and was walking around, "You WILL go sit down."
At that point, the e-mail explains the jet returned to the gate and law enforcement officers came onboard. AirTran said officers only arrived at the gate and did not board the craft.
The party was escorted off the airplane and their luggage unloaded, the e-mail reported.
"We talked about the occurrence and were in disbelief that it had happen[ed], when suddenly, the door open[ed] again and on walked all 11!! Stone faced, eyes front and robotic (the only way I can describe it). The stewardess from the back had been in tears and when she saw this, she was having NONE of it! Being that I was up front, I heard and saw the whole ordeal. She told the TSA agent there was NO WAY she was staying on the plane with these men. The agent told her they had searched them and were going to go through their luggage with a fine tooth comb and that they were allowed to proceed to Houston. The captain and co-captain came out and told the agent 'we and our crew will not fly this plane!' After a word or two, the entire crew, luggage in tow, left the plane. Five minutes later, the cabin door opened again and a whole new crew walked on," the report said.
AirTran's report confirmed, "The entire party complied fully with crew members' instructions to exit the aircraft in order to ascertain the situation. Their bags were not removed at any time."
Petruna said he then had had enough, insisting on leaving the plane.
"If this wasn't a dry run, I don't know what one is. The terrorists wanted to see how TSA would handle it, how the crew would handle it, and how the passengers would handle it," he wrote. "I’m telling this to you because I want you to know… The threat is real. I saw it with my own eyes."
The airline's explanation said it was no more than a minor disturbance.
"During taxi a passenger was non-compliant with crew members, using a cell phone and taking pictures. The flight taxied back to the gate and the passenger, who did not speak English, and his companion acting as his interpreter were asked to de-plane. They were met by customer service personnel and TSA," the airline said.
"We bring this to your attention in order to dispel myths that are beginning to make the rounds in chat rooms, blogs and conspiracy theorists' Web sites," AirTran said.
But there was no explanation for why the original crew refused, after a passenger was noncompliant regarding the use of a cell phone, to continue the flight. Nor why a dozen other passengers were so distraught they left the airplane and were rebooked on later flights.
AirTran officials also did not respond to WND calls requesting additional explanation.
'Flight attendants were sobbing'
KHOU reported that another passenger, Chaplain Keith Robinson, actually missed the original departure but got on after the airplane returned to the gate.
"Flight attendants were sobbing openly," Robinson told the station.
He had been warned by a passenger getting off not to board.
"He said, 'I just saw them, there were these Middle Eastern men. They were taking pictures. They wouldn't sit down,'" Robinson said. "Besides that, he said a couple of them were making gestures with their hand as if they were shooting people."
The disputed accounts of the incident are similar to the case of the "flying imams" in 2006.
The six Muslim clerics were booted from a US Airways Minneapolis-to-Phoenix flight after alarming both passengers and crew with their behavior. Many on board feared the imams – who prayed loudly in Arabic, refused to sit in their assigned seats, fanned out in the cabin in pairs to occupy the front, middle and rear exit rows, ordered seat-belt extenders they didn't need, criticized the Iraq war and President Bush, talked about al-Qaida and Osama bin Laden and other disconcerting behaviors – were testing security procedures in a dry run for a future hijacking.
The imams, who insisted they were acting innocently, were detained for several hours and questioned by airport police, the FBI and Secret Service, and prevented from booking a later flight on US Airways.
They sued the airline, and the case was settled.
Nihad Awad, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, called the settlement "a clear victory for justice and civil rights over fear and the phenomenon of 'flying while Muslim' in the post-9/11 era."
According to the judge, the imams had been subjected to "extreme fear and humiliation of being falsely identified as dangerous terrorists."
But as reported in "Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America," by former federal agent P. David Gaubatz and investigative journalist Paul Sperry, there's another, far more ominous and threatening side to the flying imam story – and CAIR's involvement with it – that had not been told.
"CAIR brags this is a 'victory for civil rights.' It's not a victory for civil rights," Sperry said after the settlement was announced. "It's a victory for future hijackers. This settlement will have a chilling effect on law enforcement and security at our nation's airports. Even pilots will now think twice about bouncing from flights any Arabs or Muslims acting suspiciously and threateningly."
"The victims in the case are not the imams," Sperry emphasized. "The victims are passengers who are now more vulnerable to terrorist attack – thanks to CAIR which according to documents revealed in 'Muslim Mafia' manipulated this whole case from the start," he said.
According to the hot-selling book, the ringleader of the flying imams, Omar Shahin, was involved in a similar disturbance aboard another airline several years earlier, as was CAIR.
"Rewind to 1999," says "Muslim Mafia." "That year, two Muslim college students were removed from an America West flight to Washington from Phoenix after twice attempting to open the cockpit. The FBI later suspected it was a 'dry run' for the 9/11 hijackings, according the 9/11 Commission Report."
"At the time, however, authorities didn't have enough suspicion to hold the students. And as soon as Hamdan al-Shalawi and Muhammed al-Qudhaieen were released, they filed racial profiling suits against America West, now part of US Airways."
Representing the two Muslim students was none other than CAIR, which held a news conference condemning "this ugly case of racial profiling" and urging Muslims to boycott America West.
"Muhammed and Hamdan had done absolutely nothing wrong," CAIR's Awad insisted. "Their crime was being Arab, speaking Arabic."
In a bizarre prequel to the flying imam event, the two Muslims aboard the America West flight spoke loudly in Arabic despite being fluent in English, also switched their seats and roamed the plane from the tail section to the cockpit as did the six imams, all the while asking suspicious questions about the plane and its routes.
"'Flying Imams' ringleader Omar Shahin is familiar with such shenanigans," reports "Muslim Mafia." "Witnesses say he prayed loudly in Arabic before boarding his US Airways flight – which also originated from Phoenix. And once on board, he asked for a seatbelt extender even though he didn't need one and never used the one provided him. (He and another imam left the extenders on the floor of the plane.) Swiss ban mosque minarets in surprise vote

GENEVA – Swiss voters overwhelmingly approved a constitutional ban on minarets on Sunday, barring construction of the iconic mosque towers in a surprise vote that put Switzerland at the forefront of a European backlash against a growing Muslim population.
Muslim groups in Switzerland and abroad condemned the vote as biased and anti-Islamic. Business groups said the decision hurt Switzerland's international standing and could damage relations with Muslim nations and wealthy investors who bank, travel and shop there.
"The Swiss have failed to give a clear signal for diversity, freedom of religion and human rights," said Omar Al-Rawi, integration representative of the Islamic Denomination in Austria, which said its reaction was "grief and deep disappointment."
About 300 people turned out for a spontaneous demonstration on the square outside parliament, holding up signs saying, "That is not my Switzerland," placing candles in front of a model of a minaret and making another minaret shape out of the candles themselves.
"We're sorry," said another sign. A young woman pinned to her jacket a piece of paper saying, "Swiss passport for sale."
The referendum by the nationalist Swiss People's Party labeled minarets as symbols of rising Muslim political power that could one day transform Switzerland into an Islamic nation. The initiative was approved 57.5 to 42.5 percent by some 2.67 million voters. Only four of the 26 cantons or states opposed the initiative, granting the double approval that makes it part of the Swiss constitution.
Muslims comprise about 6 percent of Switzerland's 7.5 million people. Many are refugees from the Yugoslav wars of the 1990s and about one in 10 actively practices their religion, the government says.
The country's four standing minarets, which won't be affected by the ban, do not traditionally broadcast the call to prayer outside their own buildings.
The sponsors of the initiative provoked complaints of bias from local officials and human-rights group with campaign posters that showed minarets rising like missiles from the Swiss flag next to a fully veiled woman. Backers said the growing Muslim population was straining the country "because Muslims don't just practice religion."
"The minaret is a sign of political power and demand, comparable with whole-body covering by the burqa, tolerance of forced marriage and genital mutilation of girls," the sponsors said. They said Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan compared mosques to Islam's military barracks and called "the minarets our bayonets." [Editor’s note: Najmadin Erbakan, former Prime Minister of Turkey, is on record stating “…we are coming here [to Germany] to take control of your country…”] Erdogan made the comment in citing an Islamic poem many years before he became prime minister.
Anxieties about growing Muslim minorities have rippled across Europe in recent years, leading to legal changes in some countries. There have been French moves to ban the full-length body covering known as the burqa. Some German states have introduced bans on head scarves for Muslim women teaching in public schools. Mosques and minaret construction projects in Sweden, France, Italy, Austria, Greece, Germany and Slovenia have been met by protests.
But the Swiss ban in minarets, sponsored by the country's largest political party, was one of the most extreme reactions.
"It's a sad day for freedom of religion," said Mohammed Shafiq, the chief executive of the Ramadhan Foundation, a British youth organization. "A constitutional amendment that's targeted towards one religious community is discriminatory and abhorrent."
He said he was concerned the decision could have reverberations in other European countries.
Amnesty International said the vote violated freedom of religion and would probably be overturned by the Swiss supreme court or the European Court of Human Rights.
The seven-member Cabinet that heads the Swiss government had spoken out strongly against the initiative but the government said it accepted the vote and would impose an immediate ban on minaret construction.
It said that "Muslims in Switzerland are able to practice their religion alone or in community with others, and live according to their beliefs just as before." It took the unusual step of issuing its press release in Arabic as well as German, French, Italian and English.
Sunday's results stood in stark contrast to opinion polls, last taken 10 days ago, that showed 37 percent supporting the proposal. Experts said before the vote that they feared Swiss had pretended during the polling that they opposed the ban because they didn't want to appear intolerant.
"The sponsors of the ban have achieved something everyone wanted to prevent, and that is to influence and change the relations to Muslims and their social integration in a negative way," said Taner Hatipoglu, president of the Federation of Islamic Organizations in Zurich. "Muslims indeed will not feel safe anymore."
The People's Party has campaigned mainly unsuccessfully in previous years against immigrants with campaign posters showing white sheep kicking a black sheep off the Swiss flag and another with brown hands grabbing eagerly for Swiss passports.
Geneva's main mosque was vandalized Thursday when someone threw a pot of pink paint at the entrance. Earlier this month, a vehicle with a loudspeaker drove through the area imitating a muezzin's call to prayer, and vandals damaged a mosaic when they threw cobblestones at the building.
