Cold Case Posse Takes the Eligibility Investigation to Hawaii!

Sheriff Joe has sent his lead Cold Case Posse investigator and a deputy detective on a mission to Hawaii to discover the truth for Americans everywhere.

As you know, the Hawaii Department of Health continues to resist ALL efforts made to verify that the Honolulu agency has a valid birth certificate on file for Obama.

Sheriff Joe reported his intentions to WND Friday after the Hawaii Department of Health refused to confirm to Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett that it has a valid Obama birth certificate on file. All Bennett asked for was a mere email confirming the Department of Health has a certified copy of the birth certificate on file. But they can’t (or won’t) even do that!

Sheriff Joe said that the Hawaii Department of Health’s refusal to cooperate makes it look like Hawaii officials “are hiding something.”

Bennett went on the record saying he might keep Obama’s name off the state presidential ballot if he does not receive the confirmation from Hawaii AND that under Hawaii law, government officials can request verification that the state has possession of a valid birth certificate.

Although Cold Case Posse detective Mike Zullo’s investigation is a volunteer effort, Sheriff Joe sent a Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office deputy detective for safety reasons and to act as a liaison between MCSO and local law enforcement officials. Zullo, on Hawaii’s lack of cooperation, said “If this was a non-issue, it wouldn’t be going on eight weeks waiting for the state of Hawaii to verify anything.”

KTVK-TV in Phoenix reported this past weekend that the Hawaii attorney general’s office has now told Bennett his office need to take certain steps in order to confirm Obama’s birth records, and eligibility for the Arizona ballot, starting with Bennett proving that he “legitimately needs confirmation to update records at his office.”

When Bennett was asked last week during a radio interview with KFYI’s Mike Broomhead whether he would remove Obama’s name from the Arizona ballot if Hawaii does not cooperate, Bennett said “That’s possible. Or the other option would be that I would ask all the candidates, including the president, to submit a certified copy of their birth certificate.”

Bennett said “They could say yes tomorrow, and the whole thing goes away.”

Regardless of whether or not Obama gets on the Arizona ballots, Sheriff Joe has promised to continue his investigation.

Thanks to concerned patriots at Breitbart News, we learned of the shocking discovery of a 1991 publisher’s brochure that stated Barack Hussein Obama was BORN IN KENYA – but you won’t hear about it from any of the so-called mainstream media news outlets.

Now, to give ‘credit’ where credit is due, ABC News did quote the woman who edited the brochure as saying, “This was nothing more than a fact checking error by me – an agency assistant at the time.”

Like we believe that!

After all, it’s pretty routine for living biographical subjects to proof what is going to be published about them to ensure accuracy!

Jay Acton of Acton & Dystel, which spent tens of thousands of dollars producing the 36-page long promotional booklet, confirmed that while “almost nobody” wrote his or her own biography, the non-athletes in the booklet, whom “the agents deal[t] with on a daily basis,” were “probably” approached to approve the text as presented.

This little booklet pitched Barack Hussein Obama as “born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii.” But this isn’t the only publication pitching Obama as “born in Kenya”…

1991: Authentic original promotional Acton & Dystel brochure promotes Obama as the “born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii” author of the never-produced book “Journeys in Black and White,” the pre-cursor to Obama’s autobiography, “Dreams of My Father.”

2004: A syndicated report, written by an Associated Press (AP) – one of the largest, internationally recognized news services – reporter and published Sunday, June 27, 2004, by the Kenyan Standard Times stated the following:

Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful, Barrack Obama, appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat after his main rival, Jack Ryan, dropped out of the race on Friday night amid a furor over lurid sex club allegations.

The report even details an October 2004 debate between Obama and Keyes that is conveniently forgotten by the mainstream media...

138 U.S. CUSTOMS AND BORDER PERSONNEL ARRESTED FOR CORRUPTION SINCE 2004

Thomas Winkowski, acting deputy commissioner for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), revealed Thursday during a House Homeland Security Subcommittee meeting that since 2004, 138 CBP employees have been arrested for engaging in acts of corruption including drug and alien smuggling. During that same period, more than 2,000 CBP employees – including Border Patrol and Customs agents – have been charged for other criminal acts including off-duty behavior.

Charles Edwards, the Department of Homeland Security inspector general, testified alongside Winkowsi saying that the influence of Mexican drug cartels have reached into the ranks of CBP recruiting and corrupting DHS employees.

“As demonstrated by investigations led by the Office of Inspector General (OIG), border corruption may take the form of cash bribes, sexual favors, and other gratuities in return for allowing contraband or undocumented aliens through primary inspection lanes or even protecting and escorting border crossings; leaking sensitive law enforcement information to persons under investigation and selling law enforcement intelligence to smugglers; and providing needed documents such as immigration papers,” he stated. “Border corruption impacts national security.”

MASS. POLICE OFFICER SAYS ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS ENCOUNTRED ‘ON A DAILY BASIS’

Milford, Mass. Police Lt. James Falvey recently told Milford Daily News that his department “runs into illegal immigrants on a daily basis” in response to an arrest last week of an intoxicated illegal immigrant driving erratically.

Tigoberto Orellano-Alonso, 25, was only identified after police ran his fingerprints and discovered that he had given a fake name and was in the country illegally (again) after being deported once before in 2002. Falvy also added that identifying the illegal immigrants is not only difficult when they do not carry identification documents, but that if they give you false information, it cannot be classified until later on.

To date, Massachusetts remains a sanctuary state because of Gov. Deval Patrick’s continued defiance of federal immigration law which requires every states’ participation in the Secure Communities information-sharing and illegal immigrant reporting program.

West: President Obama's release of a known Hezbollah terrorist is an "utter betrayal"

(WASHINGTON)-- Congressman Allen West (R-FL) released this statement today after sending a letter to President Barack Obama condemning the Administration's release, to the Iraqi court system, of a known Hezbollah terrorist responsible for the murder of an Army officer and four other service members:

"It is with great disappointment and concern that I write to President Barack Obama today with regards to Ali Musa Daqduq and the decision by the Administration to release this madman to an Iraqi court, who in turn set this known terrorist free.

Ali Musa Daqduq led a well-planned and coordinated attack in Karbala, Iraq in 2007 in which one American soldier, Captain Brian Freeman, was killed and four other service members were abducted and later murdered.

The Administration mistakenly used the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA), which required Iraqi citizens to be handed over to Iraq before December of 2011, as a reasoning for Daqduq's release to an Iraqi court. However, since Ali Musa Daqduq was born in Lebanon, and was in fact a Lebanese citizen at the time of his capture, SOFA should not have applied to him.

As someone who served 22 years in the United States Army and served in both Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom, I can tell you that true leadership means making responsible decisions, not necessarily popular ones. The President had options when dealing with this terrorist. Daqduq could have been transferred to Guantanamo Bay where he could have been tried in front of a military commission.

The fact that our President makes these kinds of decisions, while American soldiers like Michael Behenna, William Hunsaker, and Joseph Mayo remain imprisoned at Fort Leavenworth for incidents that occurred during the heat of battle, is pure hypocricy.

I find the release of Ali Musa Daqduq to be an utter betrayal, not only to those who perished at the hands of this terrorist, but to all men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I ask President Obama for a prompt and personal response to this decision. As the Commander-in-Chief, he owes the American people nothing less."

4,700 potentially dangerous asteroids lurk near Earth, NASA says

A new NASA survey has pinned down the number of asteroids that could pose a collision threat to Earth in what scientists say is the best estimate yet of the potentially dangerous space rocks.

The survey found there are likely 4,700 potentially hazardous asteroids, plus or minus 1,500 space rocks, that are larger than 330 feet (100 meters) wide and in orbits that occasionally bring them close enough to Earth to pose a concern, researchers said. To date, only about 30 percent of those objects have actually been found, they added.

Potentially hazardous asteroids, or PHAs in NASA-speak, are space rocks in orbits that come within 5 million miles (8 million kilometers) of Earth and are large enough to cause damage on regional or global scale if they were ever to hit our planet.

The new study was based on observations from NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE), an infrared space telescope. While the telescope data returned an estimate of the potentially dangerous near-Earth asteroid population that is similar to previous projections, it also revealed some surprising new results.

According to the survey, about twice as many asteroids are in so-called "lower-inclination orbits" — which are more closely aligned with Earth's path around the sun than other objects — than previously thought researchers said.

"A possible explanation is that many of the PHAs may have originated from a collision between two asteroids in the main belt lying between Mars and Jupiter," NASA officials explained in a statement. "A larger body with a low-inclination orbit may have broken up in the main belt, causing some of the fragments to drift into orbits closer to Earth and eventually become PHAs."

Those low-inclination space rocks also appear to be smaller and brighter than other near-Earth asteroids and are more likely to encounter Earth, researchers said.

"Our team was surprised to find the overabundance of low-inclination PHAs," Amy Mainzer, of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., said in a statement. Mainzer is principal investigator of WISE's asteroid-hunting mission, which is called NEOWISE.

"Because they will tend to make more close approaches to Earth, these targets can provide the best opportunities for the next generation of human and robotic exploration."

Scientists made the new near-Earth asteroid estimate based on observations of 107 asteroids by WISE, which launched in 2009 and mapped the entire sky twice before ending its primary mission in 2011. Before shutting down, the observatory made a concerted search for near-Earth asteroids as part of an extended mission dubbed NEOWISE.

The $320 million WISE telescope snapped images of about 600 near-Earth asteroids, with about 135 of them being completely new discoveries. The telescope also observed millions of other objects, including distant galaxies and star nurseries.

"NASA's NEOWISE project, which wasn't originally planned as part of WISE, has turned out to be a huge bonus," Mainzer said. "Everything we can learn about these objects helps us understand their origins and fate."

During its asteroid hunt, the WISE telescope searched for space rocks within about120 million miles (195 million km) of the sun. For comparison, the Earth is about 93 million miles (150 million km) from the sun.

The data from NEOWISE, when combined with other asteroid data observations, helped NASA announce in 2010 that about 90 percent of the largest near-Earth asteroids that come close to our planet had been identified.

The new survey's results will be detailed in an upcoming edition of the Astrophysical Journal.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS WORKED FOR 20 YEARS AT NJ AIRPORT

Bimbo Olumuyiwa Oyewole, a Nigerian national, worked undetected for years as a security guard and later a security supervisor of more than 30 guards at Newark Liberty International airport, one of the nation’s busiest airports.

Oyewole assumed the name Jerry Thomas, a New York City murder victim, to hide his status as an illegal immigrant for two decades – his true identity and legal status – was only discovered after a federal report found the Transportation Security Administration’s handling of security breaches at Newark Liberty International lacking. New York police have not said whether Oyewole was a suspect in the July 20, 1992 murder of Thomas and it is not yet known how 54-year-old Oyewole acquired Thomas’ personal information.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey reports that Oyewole entered the U.S. illegally in 1989 working under several contractors at the airport ever since. FJC Security, who Oyewole has been working for since 2003, said it conducted a background check on Oyewold as had New Jersey state police and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. He passed every time and was only caught after an anonymous tip.

CONSERVATIVES HOPING TO CLOSE ABUSED TAX LAW LOOPHOLE

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) announced Tuesday his endorsement of proposed legislation that would close a loophole in the tax law that allows illegal immigrants to abuse the Additional Child Tax Credit. The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration in its 2011 report found that $4.2 billion in the credit meant for lower-income working families was paid to 2.3 million people without Social Security numbers just in 2010.

Due to Obama’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act that Congress passed in 2009, more families were eligible for the additional child tax credit and some taxpayers also filed returns for multiple years to obtain the additional child tax credit for prior years. Recent investigations reveal rampant abuse of this credit by illegal immigrants claiming up to 12 children, often times nieces and nephews not even living in the United States.

Sen. David Vitter (R-LA), who is proposing the bill, wants to require recipients of the additional child tax credit to have a valid Social Security number in order to stop rewarding illegal immigrants already here and incentivizing more to illegally enter our country.

We Didn't Have The Green Thing Then ...

The 'Green Thing'

Checking out at the store, the young cashier suggested to the older woman that she should bring her own grocery bags because plastic bags weren't good for the environment.

The woman apologized and explained, "We didn't have this green thing back in my earlier days."

The clerk responded, "That's our problem today. Your generation did not care enough to save our environment for future generations."

She was right -- our generation didn't have the green thing in its day.

Back then, we returned milk bottles, soda bottles and beer bottles to the store. The store sent them back to the plant to be washed and sterilized and refilled, so it could use the same bottles over and over. So they really were recycled. But we didn't have the green thing back in our day.

Grocery stores bagged our groceries in brown paper bags, which we reused for numerous things. Most memorable besides household garbage bags was the use of brown paper bags as book covers for our school books. This was to ensure that public property (the books provided for our use by the school) was not defaced by our scribblings. Then we were able to personalize our books. But, too bad we didn't do the green thing back then.

We walked up stairs because we didn't have an escalator in every store and office building. We walked to the grocery store and didn't climb into a 300-horsepower machine every time we had to go two blocks. But she was right. We didn't have the green thing in our day.

Back then, we washed the baby's diapers because we didn't have the throw-away kind. We dried clothes on a line, not in an energy gobbling machine burning up 220 volts -- wind and solar power really did dry our clothes back in our early days. Kids got hand-me-down clothes from their brothers or sisters, not always brand-new clothing. But that young lady is right; we didn't have the green thing back in our day.

Back then, we had one TV, or radio, in the house -- not a TV in every room. And the TV had a small screen the size of a handkerchief (remember them?), not a screen the size of the state of Montana . In the kitchen, we blended and stirred by hand because we didn't have electric machines to do everything for us. When we packaged a fragile item to send in the mail, we used wadded up old newspapers to cushion it, not Styrofoam or plastic bubble wrap. Back then, we didn't fire up an engine and burn gasoline just to cut the lawn. We used a push mower that ran on human power. We exercised by working so we didn't need to go to a health club to run on treadmills that operate on electricity. But she's right; we didn't have the green thing back then.

We drank from a fountain when we were thirsty instead of using a cup or a plastic bottle every time we had a drink of water. We refilled writing pens with ink instead of buying a new pen, and we replaced the razor blades in a razor instead of throwing away the whole razor just because the blade got dull. But we didn't have the green thing back then.

Back then, people took the streetcar or a bus and kids rode their bikes to school or walked instead of turning their moms into a 24-hour taxi service. We had one electrical outlet in a room, not an entire bank of sockets to power a dozen appliances. And we didn't need a computerized gadget to receive a signal beamed from satellites 2,000 miles out in space in order to find the nearest burger joint.

But isn't it sad the current generation laments how wasteful we old folks were just because we didn't have the green thing back then?

Echoes of ‘67: Israel unites

In May 1967, in brazen violation of previous truce agreements, Egypt ordered U.N. peacekeepers out of the Sinai, marched 120,000 troops to the Israeli border, blockaded the Straits of Tiran (Israel’s southern outlet to the world’s oceans), abruptly signed a military pact with Jordan and, together with Syria, pledged war for the final destruction of Israel.

May ’67 was Israel’s most fearful, desperate month. The country was surrounded and alone. Previous great-power guarantees proved worthless. A plan to test the blockade with a Western flotilla failed for lack of participants. Time was running out. Forced into mass mobilization in order to protect against invasion — and with a military consisting overwhelmingly of civilian reservists — life ground to a halt. The country was dying.

On June 5, Israel launched a preemptive strike on the Egyptian air force, then proceeded to lightning victories on three fronts. The Six-Day War is legend, but less remembered is that, four days earlier, the nationalist opposition (Mena­chem Begin’s Likud precursor) was for the first time ever brought into the government, creating an emergency national-unity coalition.

Everyone understood why. You do not undertake a supremely risky preemptive war without the full participation of a broad coalition representing a national consensus.

Forty-five years later, in the middle of the night of May 7-8, 2012, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shocked his country by bringing the main opposition party, Kadima, into a national unity government. Shocking because just hours earlier, the Knesset was expediting a bill to call early elections in September.

Why did the high-flying Netanyahu call off elections he was sure to win?

Because for Israelis today, it is May ’67. The dread is not quite as acute: The mood is not despair, just foreboding. Time is running out, but not quite as fast. War is not four days away, but it looms. Israelis today face the greatest threat to their existence — nuclear weapons in the hands of apocalyptic mullahs publicly pledged to Israel’s annihilation — since May ’67. The world is again telling Israelis to do nothing as it looks for a way out. But if such a way is not found — as in ’67 — Israelis know that they will once again have to defend themselves, by themselves.

Such a fateful decision demands a national consensus. By creating the largest coalition in nearly three decades, Netanyahu is establishing the political premise for a preemptive strike, should it come to that. The new government commands an astonishing 94 Knesset seats out of 120, described by one Israeli columnist as a “hundred tons of solid concrete.”

So much for the recent media hype about some great domestic resistance to Netanyahu’s hard line on Iran. Two notable retired intelligence figures were widely covered here for coming out against him. Little noted was that one had been passed over by Netanyahu to be the head of Mossad, while the other had been fired by Netanyahu as Mossad chief (hence the job opening). For centrist Kadima (it pulled Israel out of Gaza) to join a Likud-led coalition whose defense minister is a former Labor prime minister (who once offered half of Jerusalem to Yasser Arafat) is the very definition of national unity — and refutes the popular “Israel is divided” meme. “Everyone is saying the same thing,” explained one Knesset member, “though there may be a difference of tone.”

To be sure, Netanyahu and Kadima’s Shaul Mofaz offered more prosaic reasons for their merger: to mandate national service for now exempt ultra- Orthodox youth, to change the election law to reduce the disproportionate influence of minor parties and to seek negotiations with the Palestinians. But Netanyahu, the first Likud prime minister to recognize Palestinian statehood, did not need Kadima for him to enter peace talks. For two years he’s been waiting for Mahmoud Abbas to show up at the table. Abbas hasn’t. And won’t. Nothing will change on that front.

What does change is Israel’s position vis-a-vis Iran. The wall-to-wall coalition demonstrates Israel’s political readiness to attack, if necessary. (Its military readiness is not in doubt.)

Those counseling Israeli submission, resignation or just endless patience can no longer dismiss Israel’s tough stance as the work of irredeemable right-wingers. Not with a government now representing 78 percent of the country.

Netanyahu forfeited September elections that would have given him four more years in power. He chose instead to form a national coalition that guarantees 18 months of stability — 18 months during which, if the world does not act (whether by diplomacy or otherwise) to stop Iran, Israel will.

And it will not be the work of one man, one party or one ideological faction. As in 1967, it will be the work of a nation.

SHERIFF JOE TELLS ERIC HOLDER TO "CLEAN YOUR OWN HOUSE" URGENT: Sheriff Joe Arpaio is under relentless attacks by the Obama administration and is preparing to tell Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder “no way” will he hand over his jurisdiction to the feds at a scheduled press conference at 3 p.m. local time at his office in Phoenix, AZ.  After failing to intimidate Sheriff Joe and prevent ‘America’s Sheriff’ from enforcing existing federal immigration laws, Obama’s Department of Justice announced yesterday their plans to sue the Maricopa County sheriff and his office over alleged racial profiling of Latinos. On the surface, the U.S. Department of Justice has been hoping for an agreement simply requiring Arpaio’s office to train officers in how to make ‘constitutional’ traffic stops, collect and report demographic data in traffic stops and reach out to the Latino community to assure them that the department is there to protect them. These interfering, bureaucratic, and ridiculous policies are just a scratch on the surface, however, because Obama’s DOJ has big plans to instill a court monitor through which every policy decision would have to be cleared –nullifying by proxy Sheriff Joe’s authority and ceasing all enforcement of immigration law. The DOJ told Sheriff Joe’s lawyer on April 3rd that refusing to accept a court-appointed monitor was a “deal-breaker” that would end settlement negotiations and result in a federal lawsuit. The “notice of intent to file civil action” from Assistant U.S. Attorney General Thomas Perez arrived on Wednesday in a letter to one of Sheriff Joe’s lawyers. That afternoon, Sheriff Joe defended himself as well as the entire Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office in the face of the pending lawsuit brought on by Washington, saying, “If they sue, we’ll go to court. And then we’ll find out the real story… They're telling me how to run my organization. I'd like to get this resolved, but I'm not going to give up my authority to the federal government. It's as simple as that.” Sheriff Joe said it was the federal government that ended  communications and negotiations – not his office. After all, it was the DOJ that accused Sheriff Joe of having a “culture of disregard for basic constitutional rights” when it’s the DOJ that is floundering in a cesspool of disregard for not only the Constitution of the United States of America but every existing immigration law on the books! In light of allegations of inadequate investigations of more than 400 sex-crimes, Sheriff Joe apologized and reopened 432 of the cases for investigation, subsequently arresting 19 suspects. But that wasn’t enough for Obama’s DOJ because this coming federal lawsuit is NOT about civil rights or possibly botched police-work. It is nothing less than an all-out tar-and-feathering of America’s Toughest Sheriff when it comes to illegal immigration. The Obama administration is out to make an example of Sheriff Joe for the entire country using intimidation, humiliation and litigation and any other Chicago-style thuggery they can think of to get Sheriff Joe to back down and stop enforcing immigration law along America’s most heavily trafficked corridor for illegal immigration and drug-smuggling. Still – despite nearly three years of relentless bashing by the Obama administration and amnesty groups like La Raza - Sheriff Joe refuses to back down. The U.S. tax code is a complete and utter abomination and it needs to be thrown out entirely.  Nobody in their right mind would ever read the whole thing – it is over 3 million words long.  Each year, Americans spend billions of hours and hundreds of billions of dollars trying to comply with federal tax requirements.  Sadly, it is the honest, hard working Americans in the middle class that always get hit the hardest.  The tax code is absolutely riddled with loopholes that big corporations and the ultra-wealthy use to minimize their tax burdens as much as possible.  Many poor people do not pay any income taxes at all.  The dishonest are rewarded for cheating on their taxes (if they can get away with it) and the ultra-wealthy have moved trillions of dollars to offshore tax havens where they can avoid U.S. taxation altogether.  Our system is incredibly unfair to the millions of hard working people in the middle class and upper middle class that drag themselves out of bed and go to work each day and try to do the right thing.  In addition, the current U.S. tax system is incredibly inefficient, it diverts a tremendous amount of resources away from more valuable economic activities, and it has chased thousands of businesses and trillions of dollars out of the United States.  The U.S. tax code is such a complete and utter mess at this point that it can never be “fixed”.  The only rational thing to do is to abolish it completely, and any politician that tells you otherwise is lying to you.

1 - The U.S. tax code is now 3.8 million words long.  If you took all of William Shakespeare’s works and collected them together, the entire collection would only be about 900,000 words long.

2 - According to the National Taxpayers Union, U.S. taxpayers spend more than 7.6 billion hours complying with federal tax requirements.  Imagine what our society would look like if all that time was spent on more economically profitable activities.

3 - 75 years ago, the instructions for Form 1040 were two pages long.  Today, they are 189 pages long.

4 - There have been 4,428 changes to the tax code over the last decade.  It is incredibly costly to change tax software, tax manuals and tax instruction booklets for all of those changes.

5 - According to the National Taxpayers Union, the IRS currently has 1,999different publications, forms, and instruction sheets that you can download from the IRS website.

6 - Our tax system has become so complicated that it is almost impossible to file your taxes correctly.  For example, back in 1998 Money Magazine had 46 different tax professionals complete a tax return for a hypothetical household.  All 46 of them came up with a different result.

7 - In 2009, PC World had five of the most popular tax preparation software websites prepare a tax return for a hypothetical household.  All five of them came up with a different result.

8 - The IRS spends $2.45 for every $100 that it collects in taxes.

9 - According to The Tax Foundation, the average American has to work until April 17th just to pay federal, state, and local taxes.  Back in 1900, “Tax Freedom Day” came on January 22nd.

10 - When the U.S. government first implemented a personal income tax back in 1913, the vast majority of the population paid a rate of just 1 percent, and the highest marginal tax rate was just 7 percent.

11 - Residents of New Jersey pay $1.64 in taxes for every $1.00 of federal spending that they get back.

12 - The United States is the only nation on the planet that tries to tax citizens on what they earn in foreign countries.

13 - According to Forbes, the 400 highest earning Americans pay an average federal income tax rate of just 18 percent.

17 - The United States has the highest corporate tax rate in the world (35 percent).  In Ireland, the corporate tax rate is only 12.5 percent.  This is causing thousands of corporations to move operations out of the United States and into other countries.

18 - Some tax havens are doing a booming business in setting up sham headquarters for U.S. corporations.  For example, the city of Zug, Switzerland only has a population of 26,000 people but it is the headquarters for 30,000 companies.

19 - In 1950, corporate taxes accounted for about 30 percent of all federal revenue.  In 2012, corporate taxes will account for less than 7 percent of all federal revenue.

What U.S. corporations are able to get away with is absolutely amazing.

The following figures come directly out of a report by Citizens for Tax Justice.  These are combined figures for the tax years 2008, 2009 and 2010.

During those three years, all of the corporations below made a lot of money.  Yet all of them paid net taxes that were below zero for those three years combined.

How is that possible?  Well, it turns out that instead of paying in taxes to the federal government, they were actually getting money back.

So for these corporations, their rate of taxation was actually below zero.

When you account for all forms of taxation on the federal, state and local levels there are many Americans that pay out more than half of their incomes in taxes.

We are being taxed into oblivion, and yet most Americans do not even realize that it is happening.

It is kind of like being killed by thousands of tiny cuts.

So what do all of these taxes buy us?

They buy us a massively bloated government that wastes money on some of the craziest things imaginable.

Millions of Americans work for the federal government, and yet most of them produce very little of real economic value.  The following comes from a recentNational Review article….

By 2005, the federal government employed 14.6 million people: 1.9 million civil servants, 770,000 postal workers, 1.44 million uniformed service personnel, 7.6 million contractors, and 2.9 million grantees. This amounted to a ratio of five and a half “shadow” government employees for every civil servant on the federal payroll. Since 1999, the government had grown by over 4.5 million employees.

According to that same article, when you add in state and local government workers the numbers are even more dramatic….

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are 3.8 million full-time and 1.5 million part-time employees on state payrolls. Local governments add a further 11 million full-time and 3.2 million part-time personnel. This means that state and local governments combined employ 19.5 million Americans.

Yes, we do need some government.  For example, without any law enforcement at all our society would descend into complete chaos, and without any military at all we would be completely open to foreign conquest.

In order to have a stable, secure society we do need some government.

However, we definitely do not need the massively bloated government that we have today.

The truth is that most government employees are a drain on the system.  Most of them just push paper around.  I used to work in Washington D.C. so I know what pushing paper around is all about.

And as I wrote about yesterday, there are millions of other Americans that enjoy a comfortable existence at the expense of the federal government without doing any work whatsoever.

Of course the biggest welfare recipients of all are the big corporations.  All forms of corporate welfare should be eliminated immediately.

When are U.S. taxpayers going to get sick and tired of paying for all of this?

Every single year, the federal government, state governments and local governments drain massive amounts of desperately needed money from hard working middle class families.

Then they take that money and spend it on incredibly foolish things.

When are American voters going to stand up and boldly declare that they have been taxed enough already and they aren’t going to take it anymore?

The current tax code is completely and utterly broken and it is beyond repair.

Unfortunately, neither the Republicans or the Democrats are proposing that we should get rid of it.

So we are just going to continue to get more of the same year after year, and it is the middle class that will feel the pain.
