It looks like we did some good after all! On Saturday, July 24th, 2010 the town of Prescott Valley , AZ, hosted a Freedom Rally. Quang Nguyen was asked to speak on his experience of coming to America and what it means. He spoke the following in dedication to all Vietnam Veterans. Thought you might enjoy hearing what he had to say:

35 years ago, if you were to tell me that I am going to stand up here speaking to a couple thousand patriots, in English, I'd laugh at you. Man, every morning I wake up thanking God for putting me and my family in the greatest country on earth.

I just want you all to know that the American dream does exist and I am living the American dream. I was asked to speak to you about my experience as a first generation Vietnamese-American, but I'd rather speak to you as an American.

If you hadn't noticed, I am not white and I feel pretty comfortable with my people.

I am a proud US citizen and here is my proof. It took me 8 years to get it, waiting in endless lines, but I got it, and I am very proud of it.

I still remember the images of the Tet offensive in 1968, I was six years old. Now you might want to question how a 6-year-old boy could remember anything. Trust me, those images can never be erased. I can't even imagine what it was like for young American soldiers, 10,000 miles away from home, fighting on my behalf.

35 years ago, I left South Vietnam for political asylum. The war had ended. A t the age of 13, I left with the understanding that I may or may not ever get to see my siblings or parents again. I was one of the first lucky 100,000 Vietnamese allowed to come to the US. Somehow, my family and I were reunited 5 months later, amazingly, in California. It was a miracle from God.

If you haven't heard lately that this is the greatest country on earth, I am telling you that right now. It was the freedom and the opportunities presented to me that put me here with all of you tonight. I also remember the barriers that I had to overcome every step of the way. My high school counselor told me that I cannot make it to college due to my poor communication skills. I proved him wrong. I finished college. You see, all you have to do is to give this little boy an opportunity and encourage him to take and run with it. Well, I took the opportunity and here I am.

This person standing tonight in front of you could not exist under a socialist/communist environment. By the way, if you think socialism is the way to go, I am sure many people here will chip in to get you a one-way ticket out of here. And if you didn't know, the only difference between socialism and communism is an AK-47 aimed at your head. That was my experience.

In 1982, I stood with a thousand new immigrants, reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and listening to the National Anthem for the first time as an American. To this day, I can't remember anything sweeter and more patriotic than that moment in my life.

Fast forwarding, somehow I finished high school, finished college, and like any other goofball 21 year old kid, I was having a great time with my life. I had a nice job and a nice apartment in Southern California. In some way and somehow, I had forgotten how I got here and why I was here.

One day I was at a gas station, I saw a veteran pumping gas on the other side of the island. I don't know what made me do it, but I walked over and asked if he had served in Vietnam. He smiled and said yes. I shook and held his hand. The grown man began to well up. I walked away as fast as I could and at that very moment, I was emotionally rocked. This was a profound moment in my life. I knew something had to change in my life. It was time for me to learn how to be a good citizen. It was time for me to give back.

You see, America is not just a place on the map, it isn't just a physical location. It is an ideal, a concept. And if you are an American, you must understand the concept, you must accept this concept, and most importantly, you have to fight and defend this concept. This is about Freedom and not free stuff. And that is why I am standing up here.

Brothers and sisters, to be a real American, the very least you must do is to learn English and understand it well. In my humble opinion, you cannot be a faithful patriotic citizen if you can't speak the language of the country you live in. Take this document of 46 pages - last I looked on the Internet, there wasn't a Vietnamese translation of the US Constitution. It took me a long time to get to the point of being able to converse, and until this day, I still struggle to come up with the right words. It's not easy, but if it's too easy, it's not worth doing.

Before I knew this 46-page document, I learned of the 500,000 Americans who fought for this little boy. I learned of the 58,000 names scribed on the black wall at the Vietnam Memorial. You are my heroes. You are my founders.

At this time, I would like to ask all the Vietnam veterans to please stand. I thank you for my life. I thank you for your sacrifices, and I thank you for giving me the freedom and liberty I have today. I now ask all veterans, firefighters, and police officers, to please stand. On behalf of all first generation immigrants, I thank you for your services and may God bless you all.

Franklin Raines - was a Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Fannie Mae. Raines was forced t o retire from his position with Fannie Mae when auditing discovered severe irregularities in Fannie Mae's accounting activities. Raines left with a "golden parachute valued at $240 Million in benefits. The Government filed suit against Raines when the depth of the accounting scandal became clear.

Tim Howard - was the Chief Financial Officer of Fannie Mae. Howard "was a strong internal proponent of using accounting strategies that would ensure a "stable pattern of earnings" at Fannie. Investigations by federal regulators and the c ompany's board of directors since concluded that management did manipulate 1998 earnings to trigger bonuses. Raines and Howard resigned under pressure in late 2004. Howard's Golden Parachute was estimated at $20 Million!

Jim Johnson - A former executive at Lehman Brothers and who was later forced from his position as Fannie Mae CEO. Investigators found that Fannie Mae had hidden a substantial amount of Johnson's 1998 compensation from the public, reporting that it was between $6 million and $7 million when it fact it was $21 million." Johnson is currently under investigation for taking illegal loans from Countrywide while serving as CEO of Fannie Mae. Johnson's Golden Parachute was estimated at $28 Million. WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

Who Is Valerie Jarrett?

Trying to figure out Valerie Jarrett’s mysterious hold on Barack and Michelle Obama is a favorite guessing game in the parlors and dining rooms of Washington. No other White House official in history has enjoyed such a unique relationship with both a president and a first lady, and yet the mainstream media have ignored Jarrett’s enormous influence over the shape and direction of the Obama administration.

Jarrett’s official title — senior adviser and assistant to the president for intergovernmental affairs and public engagement — doesn’t begin to do justice to her unrivaled status in the White House. She is Ground Zero in the Obama operation — the first couple’s first friend and consigliere, the last person to leave the Oval Office after meetings, and the only White House official who dines with the first family in their private quarters at night.

“Valerie is the quintessential insider,” one of her longtime friends told me during an interview for my book, The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House. “She functions as the eyes, ears, and nose of the president and first lady. She tells them who’s saying what about who, who’s loyal and who’s not. She advises them about who they should see when they visit a city or a foreign country. She determines who gets invited to the White House and who is left out in the cold.”

In the White House pecking order, Jarrett has more clout than the president’s chief of staff. During the savage internecine warfare between Jarrett and Obama’s first two chiefs of staff — Rahm Emanuel and Bill Daley — Obama sided most of the time with Jarrett, a classic limousine liberal who believes that Obama was elected president in order to engineer social change. Ultimately, Jarrett emasculated Emanuel and Daley and forced them from their jobs.

She has also been responsible for much of the incompetence and amateurism that have been the hallmarks of Obama’s time in office. Indeed, Jarrett has been on the wrong side of practically every consequential issue to come across the president’s desk. Some examples of her bonehead advice:

● Though both Emanuel and political strategist David Axelrod warned Obama time and again that he didn’t have the votes to ram a comprehensive healthcare bill through Congress, Jarrett was among those who persuaded the president to ignore their advice and go for broke. The result: the hugely expensive, unworkable, unpopular, and probably unconstitutional program known as Obamacare.

● Emanuel tangled with Jarrett over her effort to put the prestige of the presidency behind Chicago’s bid for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Emanuel believed that Jarrett was working on behalf of her old boss, Mayor Daley, and his political cronies, who stood to benefit from the billions of dollars that would be spent on the Olympics. That idea seemed to be lost on the president, who went to Copenhagen to make an impassioned plea for the Olympics, and came back home with egg on his face.

● Jarrett gave her stamp of approval for the $535 million taxpayer-funded loan guarantee to Solyndra, the California solar company that went belly up. Jarrett had close ties to the George Kaiser Family Foundation, which controlled 35.7 percent of Solyndra. The foundation had made a sizable donation to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where Jarrett once served as chairwoman and where one of Obama’s best friends, Eric Whitaker, is currently executive vice president. ● When Jarrett pushed Obama’s proposal to require church-run hospitals and universities to give their employees free contraception, chief of staff Bill Daley secretly arranged an Oval Office meeting between the president and New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan, the head of the U.S. Conference of Catholic bishops, who argued that the policy violated the principle of religious freedom. When Jarrett learned about Daley’s end-run, she went to the president and vented her anger. After that, Daley realized his days were numbered and resigned.

● Like Obama, Jarrett has a fundamental lack of respect for businessmen. In a typical blunder that sent shudders through the business community, she dismissed Tom Donohue, the highly regarded CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, as irrelevant, saying that she preferred to deal with “real” industry executives.

● Jarrett’s lack of judgment in domestic affairs has been matched by her inexperience in international and military affairs. She urged the president not to send in a Navy SEAL team to get Osama bin Laden — the one time that we know of when Obama failed to take Jarrett’s advice.

If Jarrett is wrong so often, why does President Obama trust her above all others and continue to run every decision by her?

In part, her influence stems from the fact that Jarrett is the president’s trusted watchdog. She protects the vainglorious and thin-skinned Obama from critics and complainers who might deflate his ego. No one gets past Jarrett and sees the president if they have a grievance, or a chip on their shoulder, or even an incompatible point of view. That goes for such high-profile supporters as Oprah Winfrey and Caroline Kennedy, who have been largely frozen out of the White House because Jarrett believes they would use the opportunity of a meeting with Obama to push their own competing agenda.

Despite her impeccable social credentials, Jarrett’s record before she went to Washington was spotty at best. After Mayor Daley made her commissioner of planning, she became embroiled in a massive screw-up in the city’s public housing revitalization plan, which cost Chicago millions of dollars in overruns. Daley fired her without explanation.

After she left city hall, Jarrett became CEO of Habitat Executive Services, where she earned $300,000 in salary and $550,000 in deferred compensation. She managed a federally subsidized housing complex that was seized by the government after inspectors found crime-infested slum conditions and widespread blight.

Throughout her career, Jarrett has failed upward. Today she is at the pinnacle of power as Michelle Obama’s closest confidant and Barack Obama’s political soul mate. Though she is the White House official responsible for “public engagement,” she has conspicuously failed to engage. I heard this complaint about Jarrett from practically everyone I interviewed — Republicans and Democrats, African Americans and Jews. They all blamed Jarrett for keeping the president isolated even from those whose good opinion he needed the most.

Despite her lack of international experience and background in economics and fiscal policy, she is in many ways the de facto president. Against the advice of more seasoned advisers, Jarrett steers the president toward decisions that make our economy less robust and our nation less safe.

“I was at a dinner where Valerie sat at our table for ten minutes, and I wasn’t particularly impressed,” a major Obama donor told me. “She didn’t say anything interesting. I expected her to be smarter. She ain’t no Karl Rove. Karl Rove would eat her for breakfast.”

July 17, 2012: Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio announces in Phoenix that President Obama's birth certificate, as presented by the White House in April 2011, is a forgery based on an investigation by the Sheriff's office. (AP)

PHOENIX – Investigators for an Arizona sheriff's volunteer posse have declared that President Barack Obama's birth certificate is definitely fraudulent.

Members of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's posse said in March that there was probable cause that Obama's long-form birth certificate released by the White House in April 2011 was a computer-generated forgery.

Now, Arpaio says investigators are positive it's fraudulent.

Mike Zullo, the posse's chief investigator, said numeric codes on certain parts of the birth certificate indicate that those parts weren't filled out, yet those sections asking for the race of Obama's father and his field of work or study were completed.

Zullo said investigators previously didn't know the meaning of codes but that the codes were explained by a 95-year-old former state worker who signed the president's birth certificate.

Zullo said a news reporter who has helped out in the probe let investigators listen in on an interview he concluded of the former state worker.

The Obama campaign declined to comment on Arpaio's allegations.

The Arizona Democratic Party says in a statement that Arpaio's investigation is intended to draw attention away from problems within his own agency, such as hundreds of sex-crimes cases that the sheriff's office failed to adequately investigate over a three-year period.

So-called "birthers" maintain Obama is ineligible to be president because, they contend, he was born in Kenya.

Hawaii officials have repeatedly confirmed Obama's citizenship.

Obama released a copy of his long-form birth certificate in an attempt to quell citizenship questions.

Courts have rebuffed lawsuits over the issue.

What honor looks like: The flash mob at Gate 38 of Reagan National Airport

Honor is a hard term to describe. It doesn’t have a color or weight or shape. If someone were to ask me what honor looked like, I’d probably struggle with what to say.

But something happened on May 23, 2012 at 9:31 a.m. at Gate 38 of Reagan National Airport that might change that. A flash mob of sorts broke out. But not like you’ve seen on YouTube with highly choreographed dance numbers or people singing a song in unison. In fact, virtually all of the participants of this “flash mob” didn’t know they would be participating until moments before it happened.

Let me explain. Shortly before 9:30 over the loud speakers, a US Airways gate attendant announced that an Honor Flight of World War II veterans would be arriving momentarily and encouraged anyone passing by to help greet them. Five or six people looked like they were officially part of the welcoming committee, and the rest of the people in the secure section of the airport were regular old travelers going somewhere. Then I had a terrible thought. What if these veterans came off the plane and just those five or six individuals were there to greet them. I walked a gate over to help see the veterans out.

But – then it happened and frankly, I wasn’t expecting it. All throughout the terminal, people left their gates and gathered around gate 38. A few active military personnel in plain clothes approached the gate attendant and politely asked if they could join in the salute within the jet way as the heroes first stepped off the plane. Every human being in the terminal stood at attention and faced the door.

Someone held up an old newspaper from 1945 that had a banner headline that said, “Nazis Quit!” And when I saw that newspaper, I realized that World War II wasn’t just a chapter in a history book. It was men and women who saw an evil like the world has never seen before and traveled across the world to meet that evil. And they defeated it.

I wonder if in 1945, any of those brave soldiers could ever imagine that 67 years later, we’d still be basking in the freedom that they preserved. And some of those heroes were about to walk through Gate 38.

The first soldier walked through the door. Old, frail and needing help walking. And every person I could see in the entire airport stood and applauded. No – maybe cheered is more like it.

But here’s the thing – the applause didn’t stop. For a full 20 minutes, as veteran by veteran stepped out of the jet way, the US Airways wing of Reagan National Airport thundered in appreciation. Travelers stepped out for the opportunity to shake their hand while others held back tears.

This is the America we picture in our heads. Heroes getting a hero’s welcome and those who enjoy the freedom adequately conveying their gratitude.

Now, I know what honor looks like.

At 55, drafted the Kentucky Resolutions and became the active head of the Republican Party.

At 57, was elected the third president of the United States .

At 60, obtained the Louisiana Purchase doubling the nation's size.

At 61, was elected to a second term as President.

At 65, retired to Monticello .

At 80, helped President Monroe shape the Monroe Doctrine.

At 81, almost single-handedly created the University of Virginia and served as its first president.

At 83, died on the 50th anniversary of the Signing of the Declaration of Independence along with John Adams

Thomas Jefferson knew because he himself studied the previous failed attempts at government. He understood actual history, the nature of God, his laws and the nature of man. That happens to be way more than what most understand today. Jefferson really knew his stuff. A voice from the past to lead us in the future:

WHITE HOUSE, ACLU CONSPIRACY TO HALT DEPORTATIONS EXPOSED

A Washington watchdog group has discovered evidence implicating the Obama administration AND the American Civil Liberties Union in a joint conspiracy to halt deportations for criminal illegal immigrants. Examiner.com reports Judicial Watch’s findings of conspiracy to suspend the scheduled deportation of illegal immigrants at the ACLU’s request as part of a bigger plan to perhaps eliminate the Secure Communities federal program, which identified the criminal illegal immigrants in the first place.

Judicial Watch, an organization that investigates and prosecutes political and government corruption, suspects further cooperation by the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Inspector General after it announced that its plans to investigate Secure Communities to make sure the program is being applied “equitably across communities.” Judicial Watch also uncovered documents from the Department of Justice revealing the agency worked with the ACLU in mounting legal challenges against Arizona’s immigration law.

MORE SOPHISTICATED DRUG TUNNELS DISCOVERED CROSSING U.S.-MEXICO BORDER

Despite the repeated claims of a secure border by Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, the border remains just as porous as ever with two drug-smuggling tunnels – complete with lighting and ventilation systems – discovered along our southern border in the last week. Both tunnels were at least 150 yards long and displayed engineering expertise rather than crude digging.

The first tunnel was discovered Saturday in a vacant strip mall storefront in San Luis, Arizona, after state police pulled over a man transporting 39 pounds of methamphetamine in his vehicle and mentioned the strip mall. Investigators estimate that one tunnel cost $1.5 million to build and was operated by the powerful Sinaloa cartel. The second tunnel was discovered Wednesday by the Mexican Army. It began in Tijuana and was intended to cross the border into San Diego.

ICE CHIEF: AZ IMMIGRATION PROGRAM ‘NOT A GOOD USE’ OF TAX DOLLARS

CNSNews.com reports Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director John Morton announced Tuesday that the Obama administration’s recent decision to terminate its standing immigration-law enforcement agreements with Arizona was because the programs had not been “a good use of taxpayer sources” when asked about the political timing of the suspension.

Morton would have us believe that the termination of the 287(g) program partnering ICE and state and local law enforcement forces to enforce immigration laws had nothing to do with the Supreme Court’s June 25 ruling upholding Arizona’s anti-illegal immigration law even though the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) suspended its cooperation with hours of the decision!

House Homeland Security subcommittee on border and maritime security, vice-chairman Rep. Ben Quayle (R-Ariz.)questioned Morton:

“The timing is extraordinarily curious,” he noted. “If the task force were not actually operating in the manner that you would have liked or the DHS would have liked, wouldn’t it have been a little bit sooner or maybe even a little bit later? But within hours of the Supreme Court ruling – that’s a very interesting timeline.”

Quayle also asked Morton why the administration appeared to be selective in taking legal action when it came to immigration law enforcement, citing the case of Cook County in Illinois where Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced his plan to prevent law enforcement from reporting illegal immigrants even if jailed in misdemeanor and felony cases.

ROMNEY TELLS ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS TO JOIN OUR MILITARY OR GO HOME

Andrea Saul, the campaign press secretary for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s went on the record in an e-mail saying it is Romney’s policy that “young” illegal immigrants who join the U.S. military should be able to remain in the United States and attain legal permanent residency status, but that all illegal immigrants not doing so must return to their countries of origin.

Saul’s July 6th e-mail to CNSNews.com:

“Governor Romney wants to protect and strengthen legal immigration by ending illegal immigration in a civil and resolute manner. While President Obama has broken his promise and failed to offer any plan on immigration reform during his years in office, Governor Romney has announced a strategy for bipartisan and long-term immigration reform.That strategy included specific proposals to secure our borders, discourage illegal immigration, and fix our nation’s broken immigration system so that it serves the needs of our economy. Governor Romney believes that young illegal immigrants brought here as children should have the chance to become permanent residents if they serve honorably in the U.S. military. And illegal immigrants should be able to register and get in line with other applicants.”

The Truth

545 vs. 300,000,000 People

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? John Boehner. He is the leader of the majority party. He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it's because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ...

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees...

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Without much fanfare and with as little publicity as possible, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will go to New York City to sign the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT), now in the final stages of negotiation at the U.N. The treaty marks the beginning of an international crusade to impose gun controls on the United States and repeal our Second Amendment rights.

The ATT is nominally geared toward the purpose of stopping international arms sales to gangs, criminals and violent groups. But, as is so often the case with U.N. treaties, this is merely a convenient facade behind which to conceal the ATT's true intent: to force gun control on the United States.

Secretary Clinton will doubtless succeed in inserting language into the treaty asserting that it in no way is meant to restrict our right to bear arms. But even this language will be meaningless in the face of the overall construct set up by the treaty.

The ATT is to be administered by an International Support Unit (ISU), which will ensure that "parties [to the treaty] take all necessary measures to control brokering activities taking place within [their] territories ... to prevent the diversion of exported arms to the illicit market or to unintended end users."

The ISU will determine whether nations are in compliance with this requirement and will move to make sure that they do, indeed, take "all necessary measures." This requirement will inexorably lead to gun registration, restrictions on ownership and, eventually, even outright bans on firearms.

Former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton said it best: "After the treaty is approved and comes into force, you will find out that it has this implication or that implication and that it requires Congress to adopt legislation to restrict the ownership of firearms."

Bolton explains that "the administration knows that it cannot obtain this kind of legislation in purely a domestic context. They will use an international agreement to get domestically what they couldn't get otherwise."

The treaty makes no sense otherwise, except as a circuitous vehicle to achieve gun control in the United States. The vast majority of all small arms and light arms exports (the ostensible focus of the treaty) are from sales by the governments of the United States, Russia, China, Germany and Israel. Individual or corporate arms trafficking is a distinct minority. But it is to absorb the brunt of the treaty's regulations.

Insofar as the treaty restricts governmental action, it bars governments from arming "illicit" groups in other nations. This provision could well be interpreted to ban U.S. arms sales to Iranian or Syrian dissidents. It could even be used by China to stop us from selling arms to Taiwan, since the U.N. does not recognize Taiwan as a nation, but rather an entity occupying territory that should belong to China.

And let's not forget how well the United States has done in reducing murders and other crimes despite the absence of comprehensive gun controls and bans. In 1993, there were 24,350 homicides in the United States. Last year, there were 13,576 (despite a growth of 60 million in the population). Only 9,000 of these murders involved a firearm. (Less than one-third of the highway deaths each year in the country.)

Obama has left gun control off his legislative agenda so far. Now his strategy becomes apparent: Use international treaties to achieve it.

And bear in mind that under the Supremacy Clause of our Constitution, we would be obliged to enforce the ATT despite the Second Amendment. International treaties have the force of constitutional law in the United States.

If it is ratified during the lame-duck session of the Senate this year, then nothing can ever change it. Goodbye, Second Amendment.

Right now we need 34 courageous Republican senators to step up and demand that Hillary not sign the treaty, and indicate their intention to vote against its ratification if it is submitted. Only such an action can stop this treachery in its tracks.

OBAMA CLOSES BORDER PATROL STATIONS IN FOUR STATES

Times are tough but Obama is now using his fiscal failure to shut down nine Border Patrol stations across four states, resulting in a wave of backlash from local law enforcement, Congress and Border Patrol agents.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection says it is closing the nine border stations in order to reassign agents to high-priority areas closer to the border, but critics of Obama’s latest political pandering say the closures will undermine efforts to stop drug and human traffickers in well-traveled corridors north of the U.S.-Mexico border.

The stations set to close in about six months in Texas include: Lubbock, Amarillo, Dallas, San Angelo, Abilene and San Antonio. The other three are in Billings, Mont.; Twin Falls, Idaho; and Riverside, Calif.

OBAMA ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION POLICY CHALLENGED BY CHICAGO

Obama’s former chief of staff Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced at a news conference on Tuesday that he would propose an ordinance to exclude Chicago from participating in the mandatory federal Secure Communities program, or otherwise barring police officers from handing over illegal immigrants to federal agents if they do not have serious criminal convictions or outstanding criminal warrants.

“If you have no criminal record, being part of a community is not a problem for you,” Mr. Emanuel said, speaking at a high school library in Little Village, a Latino neighborhood. “We want to welcome you to the city of Chicago.”

Emanuel is turning a blindeye to illegal immigration in Chicago as part of his goal to make Chicago the “most immigrant-friendly city in the country.” He also hopes that removing the fear of deportation will encourage illegal immigrants to contact police regarding other crimes considering homicides in the city are up 39 percent from just one year ago.

5 CHARGED IN BRIAN TERRY’S DEATH, $1M REWARD OFFERED FOR LEADS

After more than a year of not doing so, the Justice Department unsealed an indictment on Monday charging five people in connection with Border Patrol agent Brian Terry’s December 2010 death while also announcing a reward up to $1 million for information leading to the arrest of the four suspects who remain at large.

Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform committee Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) praised the DOJ for its announcement but questioned the timing, calling it “another example of using politics over good policy.”

Regardless of the DOJs move, the call on Holder to turn over Fast and Furious documents continues as the questions surrounding how and who allowed the botched gun-running operation that put weapons into the hands of Terry’s murderers remain unanswered.

OBAMA ADMIN RELEASES LARGE NUMBER OF ILLEGAL ALIEN SEX OFFENDERS

Judicial Watch on Saturday released newly obtained information from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) contradicting DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano’s claims that removing criminal aliens was a “top priority”. Why? Because it contains a laundry list of violent crimes Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials were told to simply overlook when it came time to decide where or not to deport any illegal immigrant.

The series of internal ICE memos reveal officials were told they could dismiss deportation cases against illegal immigrants convicted of sexual assault, solicitation of murder, aggravated assault, assaulting a police officer, kidnapping and many drug charges.

The memos disclosed due to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit also reveal the Obama administration has been actively working behind the scenes to implement amnesty a la ‘prosecutorial discretion’ nearly an entire year before ICE director John Morton publicly announced Obama’s policy toward deportations.

Dear President Obama

Dear President Obama,

My name is Harold Estes, approaching 95 on December 13 of this year. People meeting me for the first time don't believe my age because I remain wrinkle free and pretty much mentally alert.

I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and served proudly before, during and after WW II retiring as a Master Chief Bos'n Mate. Now I live in a "rest home" located on the western end of Pearl Harbor , allowing me to keep alive the memories of 23 years of service to my country.

One of the benefits of my age, perhaps the only one, is to speak my mind, blunt and direct even to the head man.

So here goes.

I am amazed, angry and determined not to see my country die before I do, but you seem hell bent not to grant me that wish.

I can't figure out what country you are the president of. You fly around the world telling our friends and enemies despicable lies like:
" We're no longer a Christian nation"
" America is arrogant"
(Your wife even announced to the world," America is mean- spirited. " Please tell her to try preaching that nonsense to 23 generations of our war dead buried all over the globe who died for no other reason than to free a whole lot of strangers from tyranny and hopelessness.)

I'd say shame on the both of you, but I don't think you like America, nor do I see an ounce of gratefulness in anything you do, for the obvious gifts this country has given you. To be without shame or gratefulness is a dangerous thing for a man sitting in the White House.

After 9/11 you said," America hasn't lived up to her ideals."

Which ones did you mean? Was it the notion of personal liberty that 11,000 farmers and shopkeepers died for to win independence from the British? Or maybe the ideal that no man should be a slave to another man, that 500,000 men died for in the Civil War? I hope you didn't mean the ideal 470,000 fathers, brothers, husbands, and a lot of fellas I knew personally died for in WWII, because we felt real strongly about not letting any nation push us around, because we stand for freedom.

I don't think you mean the ideal that says equality is better than discrimination. You know the one that a whole lot of white people understood when they helped to get you elected.

Take a little advice from a very old geezer, young man.

Shape up and start acting like an American. If you don't, I'll do what I can to see you get shipped out of that fancy rental on Pennsylvania Avenue . You were elected to lead not to bow, apologize and kiss the hands of murderers and corrupt leaders who still treat their people like slaves.

And just who do you think you are telling the American people not to jump to conclusions and condemn that Muslim major who killed 13 of his fellow soldiers and wounded dozens more. You mean you don't want us to do what you did when that white cop used force to subdue that black college professor in Massachusetts , who was putting up a fight? You don't mind offending the police calling them stupid but you don't want us to offend Muslim fanatics by calling them what they are, terrorists.

One more thing. I realize you never served in the military and never had to defend your country with your life, but you're the Commander-in-Chief now, son. Do your job. When your battle-hardened field General asks you for 40,000 more troops to complete the mission, give them to him. But if you're not in this fight to win, then get out. The life of one American soldier is not worth the best political strategy you're thinking of.

You could be our greatest president because you face the greatest challenge ever presented to any president. You're not going to restore American greatness by bringing back our bloated economy. That's not our greatest threat. Losing the heart and soul of who we are as Americans is our big fight now.

And I sure as hell don't want to think my president is the enemy in this final battle...

OBAMNESTY LIKELY TO RESULT IN MASS FRAUD

Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX) sent a letter to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director John Morton. In the scathing letter, Rep. Smith blasts the Obama administration’s recent amnesty fiat for illegal immigrants brought here as children by their parents or guardians as “an open invitation to fraud.”

Obama's so-called “deferral from deportation” will be granted to illegal immigrants who have been five years or longer in the U.S., in the education system or the military, or under the age of 30. If granted the amnesty measure, more than one million illegal immigrants will be granted protection from deportation for two-years and work permits. Rep. Smith says in his letter that “internal documents” show some illegal immigrants are already being handled under the new policy despite the president saying it would take 60 days to go into effect.

The chairman also sought to add criteria requiring applicants to pass five thresholds to be eligible for inclusion under the policy in order to crack down on fraud. Under Smith’s security measure, applicants would need to: seek relief in person, provide a valid school transcript, have authorities validate each transcript with the issuing educational institution, provide documentary evidence showing physical presence in the U.S. at the time the transcript was issued, and provide documentary evidence of presence in the U.S. for five years.

Smith questioned Morton whether or not illegal immigrants denied eligibility under the new policy will be detained and deported and whether or not the deportation waiver could be applied to their family members for “hardship concerns.’ Smith also asked whether businesses from which applicants submit a record of employment as proof of their eligibility for Obamnesty will be investigated for employing illegal workers.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT CHARGED WITH RAPING MASS. TEENAGER

Guatemalan national Henry Perez, 34, last week was charged with two counts of aggravated statutory rape of a child between 2011 and 2012 in Marlborough, Mass.

Perez, an illegal immigrant who works as a landscaper, pleaded not guilty to the charges and is hoping to go back to Guatemala rather than stay here and face prosecution. Perez’s attorney, Samantha Gillombardo, requested her client’s bail be set as only $10,000 despite the fact that Perez holds three Guatemalan passports and could easily flee the country only to re-enter under a different alias.

The judge hearing the case set bail at $500,000 and extended the restraining order the victim had in place against Perez at the time of the alleged attacks! Unfortunately, Mass. Gov. Deval Patrick continues to implement sanctuary policies harboring illegal immigrants at the expense of public safety.

Things You Don't Know About Martha Raye

The most unforgivable oversight of TV is that her shows were not taped.

This is a great story about a great woman.

I was unaware of her credentials or where she is buried.

Somehow I just can't see Brittany Spears, Paris Hilton, or Jessica Simpson doing what this woman (and the other USO women, including Ann Margaret & Joey Heatherton) did for our troops in past wars.

Most of the old time entertainers were made of a lot sterner stuff than today's crop of activists bland whiners.

The following is from an Army Aviator who takes a trip down memory lane:

"It was just before Thanksgiving '67 and we were ferrying dead and wounded from a large GRF west of Pleiku. We had run out of body bags by noon, so the Hook (CH-47 CHINOOK) was pretty rough in the back.

All of a sudden, we heard a 'take-charge' woman's voice in the rear.

There was the singer and actress, Martha Raye, with a SF (Special Forces) beret and jungle fatigues, with subdued markings, helping the wounded into the Chinook, and carrying the dead aboard.

'Maggie' had been visiting her SF 'heroes' out 'west'.

We took off, short of fuel, and headed to the USAF hospital pad at Pleiku.

As we all started unloading our sad pax's, a 'Smart Mouth' USAF Captain said to Martha.... "Ms Ray, with all these dead and wounded to process, there would not be time for your show!"

To all of our surprise, she pulled on her right collar and said ....."Captain, see this eagle? I am a full 'Bird' in the US Army Reserve, and on this is a 'Caduceus' which means I am a Nurse, with a surgical specialty....now, take me to your wounded!"

He said, "Yes ma'am.... follow me."

Several times at the Army Field Hospital in Pleiku, she would 'cover' a surgical shift, giving a nurse a well-deserved break.

Martha is the only woman buried in the SF (Special Forces) cemetery at Ft Bragg.

DHS TRAINING TELLS BORDER PATROL AGENTS TO RUN AND HIDE

EXAMINER – It was all politics on Saturday when Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano visited Dallas, Texas, to participate in the Annual National Latino peace Officers Association’s (NKPOA) Training Conference.

Sec. Napolitano told conference participants that the DHS is committed to working with federal, state, local, tribal and territorial law enforcement to combat evolving threats and protect our nation’s communities while failing to mention the Obama administration’s punishment of Arizona by ending its participation in the federal 287g immigration enforcement program. She, along with Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director John Morton, presented a posthumous NLPOA Officer of the year Award to the family of ICE Special Agent Jaime Zapata, who was assassinated in Mexico by members of Los Zetas cartel with at least one Fast and Furious weapon, though no mention of the scandal nor other victims was made.

Border Patrol union officials reported their members are taught in an “Active Shooter” course to “run away” and “hide” if they encounter a shooter in public highlighting the hypocrisy of this administration when it comes to combatting illegal immigration at the border.

During what they call “another nauseating series of Virtual Learning Center brainwashing courses that Border Patrol agents are forced to sit behind a computer for hours and endure,” the Arizona Border Patrol web site states agents learn that "[i]f we are cornered by such a shooter we are to (only as a last resort) become 'aggressive' and 'throw things' at him or her. We are then advised to 'call [local] law enforcement' and wait for their arrival ,presumably, while more innocent victims are slaughtered."

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT CHARGED WITH SEXUALLY ASSAULTING 14-YEAR-OLD GIRL

EXAMINER – West Valley City, Utah police on Tuesday arrested Antonio Jose Perez, 28, after he allegedly grabbed his neighbor’s 14-year-old daughter and sexually assaulted her after she went outside her family’s apartment to investigate a sound.

According to the police report, Perez tried to drag her back to his own apartment while brutally groping and sexually assaulting her. The young victim was able to break free once, only to be grabbed again before she was eventually able to fend off her attacker and run home.

Perez, who reportedly uses at least 10 aliases, has been charges with aggravated kidnapping, object rape, forcible sexual abuse, burglary and two counts of assault. He is currently being held at the Salt Lake Metro Jail on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer awaiting his next court appearance on July 6.
