Principles Abandoned

The problem we face is NOT conservatism's principles, but the fecklessness and cowardice of the Republican Establishment and its failure to defend America's sovereignty, security, safety and prosperity. We WILL keep defending Sheriff Joe and the Cold Case Posse in their dogged pursuit of Obama's true birth origin, another front for impeachment along with Benghazi-gate! Please help Minuteman PAC fight back – against Obama, Amnesty and the RINOs, TODAY!

STOP THE AMNESTY SELLOUT!

Establishment Republicans led the party to defeat, and GOP leadership rushed to cover up their failures following the re-election of Barack Obama. Or, to be more specific they rushed to blame movements like ours that call for secure borders and the rule of law, all the while ignoring the real root of conservatives' election problems – THE REPUBLICAN PARTY'S SHAMEFUL LACK OF PRINCIPLE, AND LACK OF VISION.

Just days after the election Fox News TV and radio host Sean Hannity said that his views on immigration have "evolved" and urged "a pathway to citizenship," AS IF CONSERVATIVES HAVE EVER BEEN ANTI-CITIZENSHIP FOR LEGAL, BONAFIDE, QUALIFIED IMMIGRANTS!

Then, in an interview with ABC News' Diane Sawyer, House Majority Leader John Boehner (OH-Rep.) – who just two years ago said it was worth amending the U.S. Constitution to end birthright citizenship – let it be known that he is "confident" the two parties can agree to a "comprehensive deal" on immigration.
Believe it or not, they – Hannity, Krauthammer, Boehner and Cantor – are choosing to forget that the fight against illegal immigration is not one based on ethnicity, racialism or the false Leftist memes of "cultural diversity" or "social justice" or "affirmative action." It is a refusal to stoop to pandering politics, to counting by color in violation of the most fundamental of our nation's Founding principles – that we are EQUAL under God and before the law.

They are forgetting that our fight against illegal immigration is about equal opportunity for all who obey the laws of the republic, play by the rules, strive to meet their duties and responsibilities that earn for them the privileges of the high honor of U.S. citizenship – and make us proud to call them Sister and Brother in the great experiment of self-government.

America was Founded as a nation of immigrants in pursuit of liberty, and nearly 250 years AFTER declaring our independence from tyranny, we proudly continue to be a nation of immigrants – but also a nation of laws. American exceptionalism does NOT mean just another nation among many nations that thinks especially well of itself, as BHO believes – America is EXCEPTIONAL; America is unique among the nations of the earth! We are the ONLY nation in human history founded on the ideal of human equality; the only nation who fought a great and bloody civil war to bring that ideal to a more perfect union; and the only nation who continues to strive for its better institution for the benefit of our posterity and for all humankind.

This is only possible if the integrity of our citizenship, which relies upon the sovereignty of our territory, our borders and our rule of law and the Constitution – is sustained.

The Republican Party put out plenty of "mixed messages" (as former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice put it) on plenty of issues, but our policies on illegal immigration DID NOT COST US THIS ELECTION! We DID NOT lose because conservatives want a secure border and the rule of law. We failed to win over as much of the Hispanic vote as we should have because the GOP failed to make a strong, principled conservative case for the free market and equal opportunity instead of big government and entitlement socialism – but that was true for Reagan Democrat voters, ethnic Catholics and conservative Independent voters. The majority of Hispanic voters care more about ECONOMIC SECURITY and JOBS than they do about IMMIGRATION POLICY – they just felt safer going with Barack Obama's promises of big government intervention!
In an article for The National Review, conservative libertarian Heather Mac Donald brightly posted her spot-on observations about "Why Hispanics Don't Vote for Republicans." She wrote:

"It is not immigration policy that creates the strong bond between Hispanics and the Democratic party, but the core Democratic principles of a more generous safety net, strong government intervention in the economy, and progressive taxation."

To make her case, Mac Donald called California "the wave of the future."
(Now, we don't know about you, but if debt-ridden, collapsing CALIFORNIA is the direction we're headed in, we don't want any part of going 'forward.')
MacDonald also argues that since many Hispanic voters are the beneficiaries of welfare programs aimed at low-income households, an immigration "compromise" is NOT going to fix the conservatives' problem:
And a strong reason for that support for big government is that so many Hispanics use government programs. U.S.-born Hispanic households in California use welfare programs at twice the rate of native-born non-Hispanic households. And that is because nearly one-quarter of all Hispanics are poor in California, compared to a little over one-tenth of non-Hispanics. Nearly seven in ten poor children in the state are Hispanic, and one in three Hispanic children is poor, compared to less than one in six non-Hispanic children. One can see that disparity in classrooms across the state, which are chock full of social workers and teachers' aides trying to boost Hispanic educational performance.
Or, as Rush Limbaugh so eloquently paraphrased:
Hispanic voters are not voting for Democrats because they're for Amnesty. Hispanic voters are not voting for Democrats because they're for open borders. That's not why Hispanics vote for Democrats, according to her research. The reason they vote for Democrats is the reason anybody else votes for Democrats. Santa Claus!
Our election problems are not because we want to secure the border or enforce the rule of law.

We have a problem with principle, not party. Conservatives don't believe illegal behavior should be encouraged, supported and rewarded while the Leftwing is more than happy to make accommodations and encourage the transformation of America into a nanny-state one handout at a time.

With the Obama administration determined to take up "immigration reform" now that the election is out of the way, we must use every opportunity we can to dig in our heels against an immigration sell-out before it's too late and conservative Americans are irreversible outnumbered and outvoted by those on other side of the ideological fence.

Remember, Ronald Reagan compromised with a "one-time" Amnesty in 1986, courtesy of the Simpson-Mazzoli bill where three million illegal immigrants were granted amnesty.
That was supposed to be the end of illegal immigration. It wasn't. We gave the Amnesty, but never got the immigration and border security law enforcement that was supposed to come along with it.

Despite being handed a free pass by the Republican Party 26 years ago, the organized Hispanic immigration lobby granted Amnesty then has grown into an insatiable political machine. It is not only not voting Republican in loyalty or gratitude to the opportunity for full participation in American political life given it by the GOP, it is frequently separatist, angry and hostile to Anglo culture. Its sense of unearned entitlement is voracious. And, again, it has nothing to do with conservatives wanting to secure the border or crack down on illegal immigration.

It's because Team Obama and the Leftwing in charge are all about redistributing our wealth and pandering to new majority, to gain political advantage and power – by providing "free" food to cell phones to healthcare to cars. After all, who needs to worry about the economy or a JOB when you get it all for free with little to no effort required besides casting a ballot?!

As Rush has correctly pointed out, John McCain did more to promote mass Amnesty than any other Republican presidential candidate, but that didn't help him win Hispanic votes in 2008, or win the White House either. Four years later, we lost the general election – again. Once again, it is NOT because we didn't pander for illegal immigration Amnesty!
With the Obama administration and every RINO in sight determined to take up "immigration reform" now that the election is out of the way, we must dig in our heels against an Amnesty sell-out before it's too late and conservative Americans are irreversibly outnumbered and outvoted by those on the other side of the ideological fence.

Obama and his Leftwing minions want Amnesty more than anything, possibly even more than they wanted ObamaCare, which was just a means to their socialist end in their eyes… locking in millions of new illegal Hispanics as loyal Democrat voters for decades and decades to come is TOP PRIORITY – and time to STOP THEM is running out with every day Barack Obama is in charge.

We still have a fighting chance, BUT it doesn't include waving the white flag of surrender! WE MUST TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW!

If illegal immigration is not stopped, America will be fundamentally transformed forever, just like Barack Obama promised during his 2008 presidential campaign – not because of what ethnicity, language or color holds majority sway in the elections – but because of the divisive, racialist, inegalitarian political ideology that will control the White House and every elected office beneath it.

A GOP "compromise" that brings mass Amnesty and traduces the rule of law, or legitimizes Obama's unjust and inequitable Amnesty edicts as fair for some but not for others is not a "compromise" – it's called waving a white flag of surrender, and accepting the Leftwing New World Order. When certain ethnicities or certain races are deemed to be more equal or more politically powerful – and hence to have more rights under our laws – than others…

… then our American republic truly is dead.

If Barack Obama's Amnesty agenda is not stopped, our American republic doesn't stand a chance.
