Meanwhile Obama's ammo and arms stockpiling federal government, bolstered by deceptive anti-gun polls like the one released by Quinnipiac University on Thursday, continues its march against OUR Right to Keep and Bear Arms as a FREE and SOVEREIGN PEOPLE!
Based on a slew of false media assertions that public safety requires a ban on "military style" or "assault" weapons – which of course DO NOT EXIST as legitimate categories of firearms and are in fact merely fear-inducing propaganda terms invented by the gun control lobby –Quinnipiac is trying to influence uninformed and impressionable Americans to hop on the gun control bandwagon with claims that a majority of the public supports Barack Obama's scheme to "ban military-style assault weapons"!
The poll trumpets a claim that "more than 90 percent of U.S. voters supported background checks for all gun buyers" – a statistically absurd result twisted from skewed questioning that FAILED to inform those polled that "universal" background checks are UNCONSTITUTIONAL, UNENFORCEABLE AND UTTERLY POINTLESS IN PREVENTING TRAGEDIES LIKE SANDY HOOK!
As you're probably fully aware, it is already a federal felony to buy or sell firearms without a federal dealer's license and it's a federal crime for a federally licensed dealer to sell a firearm without doing a background check! Ammoland further reminds us that it's also a federal felony to in any way handoff – be it as sale, trade, gift, loan, rent, lease or other transfer of a firearm – to someone you know or SHOULD know is not legally allowed to own, purchase or possess a firearm!
SO, WHAT IS THE POINT OF ALL THIS HULLABALOO ABOUT UNIVERSAL BACKGROUND CHECKS AND MANDATORY REGISTRATION WHEN WHAT BOTH ARE INTENDED TO PREVENT SHOULD ALREADY BE PREVENTED BY EXISTING GUN CONTROL LAWS?!
(Ah, but we already know the answer to that one, don't we?)
Under the façade of reasonable 'public safety' measures this Obama administration (via Sen. Feinstein's S. 150) WILL criminalize currently LEGAL private firearms transfers, a practice at the very heart of our ability to freely exercise our Second Amendment rights. Background checks required between friends and family for EVERY gun transfer or private purchase as well as the establishment of a national gun registry accessible to and shared by every level of government is a TOTAL abrogation of the principle of a free people's right to exert an armed counter check and balance to the fearsome coercive, tyrannical power of the state.
The Obama gun control regime also seeks to CRUSH FIREARMS OWNERSHIP with increased restrictions, expanded classification criteria and even more burning bureaucratic hoops and taxes for us to jump through. In other words – this administration and its Capitol Hill cronies are going to regulate the Second Amendment into an impracticable right, one that exists only on paper.
But it is not with WE THE PEOPLE!
It's with this administration and its criminal accomplices who are seeking to make us disarmed, defenseless subjects instead of free citizens, while they arm whom they want and stockpile enough ammo to wage a 30 year war!
And we are NOT kidding about the arming whom they want! Along with the gun running to criminals, the Department of Homeland Security posted a solicitation this week on the federal procurement website FedBizOpps to purchase 21.6 MILLION MORE ROUNDS OF AMMUNITION, supposedly for DHS Federal law Enforcement Training Center in Artesia, New Mexico.
WITH THE EXCEPTION OF 1.6 MILLION, ALL OF THEM ARE HOLLOW POINT – YES, THE MOST LETHAL KINDS – RAISING MANY EYEBROWS ABOUT THE 'TRAINING' NEED FOR THIS PROCUREMENT!
In particular the solicitation asks for 10 million pistol cartridge .40 caliber 165 Grain, jacketed hollow points and 10 million 9mm 115 grain jacketed hollow point bullets. Fewer than 5% of the bullets to be purchased are non-hollow points – they are pistol cartridge 9mm ball bullets.It's also worth mentioning that over the last 10 months, the DHS has purchased 1.625 BILLION ROUNDS OF AMMUNITION and in September 2012 – just months ago – the DHS purchased more than 7,000 FULLY AUTOMATIC "assault" rifles they labeled as "Personal Defense Weapons."!
It's almost enough to make you think the DHS is preparing for some sort of civil war… then again, the DHS has let it be known that its new primary concern is "homegrown terrorism."DHS-funded research has now made it clear that Americans "reverent of individual liberty" are categorized as "extreme right-wing" potential terrorists EVEN THOUGH THERE IS ZERO PREVIOUS HISTORY OR LEGITIMATE EVIDENCE TO BACK UP THESE OUTRAGEOUS ASSERTIONS!
The strategy to disarm the law-abiding population is simple: demonize guns, demonize gun owners, terrorize naïve and ignorant people who are susceptible to this propaganda and fear-mongering, move swiftly and relentlessly to pass the most draconian gun control legislation possible.
Remember, despite Team Obama's distortion of statistics, polling and FACTS, the National Rifle Association does NOT support "universal" background checks and registration schemes – and neither do we! Like the NRA, we are fighting for common sense approaches to keep firearms out of the hands of criminals and madmen, and this includes putting the records of those who are already prohibited by law from purchasing firearms into the federal check system. What we support is a far, far cry from registering legal, sane American gun owners like sex offenders into a Big Brother database – as is demanded by the Feinstein gun control posse on Capitol Hill!
The Feinstein "gun safety" law is a draconian disarmament plot. Key gun law expert Alan Korwin has come forward to expose the Feinstein gun ban bill as just that – a gun BAN bill. Not a gun SAFETY bill as the Obama-Feinstein gun control alliance would have us believe. The propaganda is designed to lull and soothe free-born Americans into submission, but we are NOT buying it!
Korwin, who has written ten renowned books on gun laws, has reviewed the legislation put forward in the Senate and said that if Sen. Dianne Feinstein's (D-CA) gun grab is made law, "any semi-automatic firearm which uses a magazine – handgun, rifle or shortgun – equipped with a 'pistol grip,' would be banned."He explains: "That sounds like a limitation, but it is not. A pistol grip (on page 2) is defined (on page 13) as 'a grip, a thumb-hole stock, or any other characteristic that can function as a grip.'…
"In other words, the gun list does not matter. It is a smokescreen designed to distract people from the true meaning of the bill. And it has done a magnificent job. It worked! Any semi-automatic firearm that exists, with anything on it you can grip, is banned. (There is a grandfather clause for old stuff.)
"The list is meaningless tripe. It is camouflage for the real purpose of the bill. When the president said he is not going to take away your guns, well, Feinstein's bill puts the lie to that. Magazine size does not matter. Brand name does not matter. It doesn't matter if it's black. If you can grip it, it's banned under this bill."
As one of the preeminent gun law experts in the nation, Korwin knows what he is talking about and what he has to say about this bill has our blood running cold. Because in this case, what isn't in the bill is AT LEAST as important as what is in it.He says Feinstein's gun list is a "very clever" distraction to force gun control on America while failing to address people "who are nuts, borderline nuts, formerly nuts or no longer nuts and still perpetually banned from their rights." Nor is there any mention of the psychotropic drugs indelibly implicated in mass shootings in recent years!
There is "nothing in her 122-page bill [that] deals with gun safety. No training, no marksmanship, nothing for teachers, no self-defense awareness, no public education, nothing for schools, everything the president has asked for to increase child safety is missing in her long list of guns she would remove from the hands of the innocent," said Korwin.
America must heed his warning! Our country cannot fall for Feinstein's public relations tricks just like it cannot fall for Barack Obama's recent "I am an avid skeet-shooting sportsman – I go skeet shooting all the time" LIES.
Congress cannot abuse majority rule to dismantle the Constitution and neither can Barack Obama. The Feinstein gun grab is without-a-doubt an UNPRECEDENTED infringement on the Second Amendment, on the standing of our Bill of Rights, and the VAST SCOPE OF THE VIOLATION by anti-gunners on Capitol Hill isn't even all that concealed away in the bill – it's there, plain as day for anyone who bothers to TAKE A CLOSER, CAREFUL LOOK!
The anti-gun Democrats are demagoguing on gun control because it is in their best long term political interest. When they are finished driving this country into the fiscal ground, they need to have the millions of ordinary folks footing the bill disarmed and too disorganized to take them to task.MAKE NO MISTAKE: The dire state of our sovereignty as a nation and our collapsing status as a world power is just what Obama is seeking. Shamefully, our national disarray emanating from Washington should raise red flags of alarm to lawmakers of putsch and power abuse by the Executive Branch, but Obama's dangerous actions are not stopping Obama's anti-gun ally Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) from pushing forward what is being called "the most significant attack on the Second Amendment in history."
And now that we have seen what exactly is in the renewed "assault weapon" ban that Feinstein introduced in the 113th Congress, WE MUST ACT TO DEFEND AMERICA'S LIBERTY!
This is no less than a sinister plot to disarm us commoners to make us more compliant with Barack Obama's "fundamental transformation of America" (remember what Mao said?) while our self-anointed political and Hollywood elites remain surrounded by – and their children protected by – ARMED bodyguards because they can swing special exemptions for themselves to the bans and restrictive laws they pass!New York Major Michael Bloomberg, who has railed endlessly against private gun ownership has 24/7 ARMED bodyguards. Barack Obama's daughters attend a prestigious Washington, DC, private school for the wealthy that has ELEVEN ARMED GUARDS as standard operating procedure and is now inquiring into adding off-duty police hires to protect the children of its very, very expensive tuition payers.
Our houses may not be as big, our cars not as fancy or our bank accounts as flush, but our Constitutional right to self-defense as American citizens is PRECISELY EQUAL UNDER THE CONSTITUTION as that of the powerful and affluent! Those elected to positions of authority and power swore to protect our rights, not destroy them!
WE THE PEOPLE are, ultimately, the last line of resistance against this tyrannical Obama administration and against foreign invasion. If we do not stand NOW in defense of our Bill of Rights and the Constitution, we will witness on our watch the demise of American exceptionalism.
WHY SHOULD WE NOT HAVE THE SAME ACCESS TO DE-MILITARIZED, COMMERCIAL TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGY OF SELF-DEFENSE AVAILABLE TO THE 1% THAT CAN EITHER AFFORD IT, OR WHO – AS OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS – ARE HAVING IT PAID FOR BY US TAXPAYING CITIZENS?!
Thousands of New York residents with handgun permits – including women hiding from abusive ex-spouses – had their names and addresses published on an interactive map just like sex offenders by a liberal, local rag as part of a post-Sandy Hook 'public safety' article!Feinstein's office falsely claims the previous Clinton ban can be credited with a 6.7 percent decline "in total gun deaths" though only a tiny fraction of "gun" crimes are ever traced to the so-called assault weapons on her and Obama's Brady Group-approved gun ban list…
The truth: Data published earlier this year revealed the number of mass shootings (with four or more people murdered at once) ROSE during the 1990s Clinton-Feinstein "assault" weapons ban decade!
Where states have implemented Concealed Carry and/or Stand Your Ground laws, violent crimes with a gun have DROPPED across the board.
But the FACTS are not stopping anti-gun fanatics including the Obama administration from coming for our guns!
We need to stand up, shout and scream at our elected representatives in Congress to defend our Second Amendment Right to Keep and Bear Arms from the totalitarian Obama-Feinstein plot to regulate and tax civilian gun ownership into oblivion! A Right so Restricted it is rendered impracticable and inaccessible to the citizenry is NO right – and a Right to self-protection that we are unable to exercise even when our lives are on the line is a malicious and seditious travesty NO free people will abide!
We will NOT be bullied into submission.
Right now, America needs YOU to help us carry the message to Capitol Hill!Feinstein has introduced her illicit, duplicitous and unconstitutional gun ban, and intends to work with Obama to jam this disgusting and anti-American legislation through Congress as hard and as fast as they can.
We MUST make sure she and every elected official on Capitol Hill has an office FLOODED with blast-faxes from concerned citizens like you demanding our Second Amendment rights be upheld and our sovereignty as a free nation protected with the RESOUNDING REJECTION AND DEFEAT of the Obama-Feinstein gun grab.
